I think this show is largely being carried by the protagonist being pretty charming, I cant say i like the vibe of the setting or side cast but seeing her spontaneously writing diagrams of a dudes exact measurements injects some life into it. My biggest fear is the prince guy seems kind of bland in comparison to not match that level of personality.

How come none of them questioned how the pot fell.. like, it should have landed on the prince's body but instead it landed on the grass. Also, they let a new student they just met a day join them in searching for the person who was after the prince?? Seriously...? Or maybe the prince already knew Monica actually is the Silent Witch? Well she's the prince's bodyguard so in the end she'll do the same job.. it just feels a bit weird (for now).

Not sure how I feel about other characters like Lana yet. This anime needs more time to develop them but Monica really needs to be more confident in herself. The Felix/Monica scenes were priceless. I guess she's not used to havnig guys being up so close to her face.

I have the feeling that this anime will develop just like bocchi the rock did, where bocchi (an extremely shy girl) gets confidence with time, I am excited to see how this will go

Although super timid characters usually get real frustrating, I like Monica, and she's already doing better as of episode 2! I hope we get to see her make more friends! The music is beautiful, and I love how heartwarming this anime makes me feel, while also making me laugh. I love it when the sage dude just shows hands XD.

Socially retarded and incompetent at life but having a savant level specialist talent are the only good type of female main characters and this one seems perfect so far. Shame about the Japanese INSANE obsession with European fantasy. Maybe use some of your own culture for once.

I absolutely love everything about this episode, I’m trying not to be too dramatic but this was one of my fave episodes of the year idk, it just took me through so many emotions. I love Monica so much and you can already tell this bodyguard mission is going to be as rewarding for her, as it’ll be for Felix.

It’s never easy to start at a new school as a transfer student, even harder when you’re a socially awkward introvert like Monica, but for the most part we got exposed to such a wide range of nice characters who are helping her settle in. Something about she and Lana’s relationship really resonated with me. Please tell me I’m not the only one who got a little emotional when they were talking about boring they both are and we see Monica’s laugh for the first time and hear her speech gradually improving as she gets comfortable 😭 little shit like that gets to me.

Also love how Lana reached out to her first and did her hair up so she could be more trendy. You can already tell Lana is quite lonely herself despite her appearance, people still look down on her family just because they’re noveau riche. I’m going to love all she and Monica’s interactions

Already shipping Monica and the Prince award. I love opposites attract ships so much. Felix is the top of the school food chain, charismatic, brilliant, whole package, and Monica struggles to talk to new people. Despite those differences, I felt an instant spark there!

So many cute Monica moments today, I love how they’re calling her a squirrel and it’s so fitting she’s so adorable. Her hiding in the window curtains had me cracking up. We also see some hints about the trauma she’s endured that’s made her this way. Lot of good world-building and character introductions today, just making me want more and more of this show.

Monica is beyond cute. She brought out that cuteness aggression from me, and that was a surprise for me. Didn't expect that to happen. I find she's not as insufferable as Bocchi, so that helps.

I looked up Isabelle's VA to see who did such a remarkable job... and it's Atsumi Tanezaki. Never fails to absolutely boggle my mind with her range and skill. Anya Forger (Spy x Family), Vivy (Fluorite Eye's Song), Nikki (Dr. Stone), Tome (Mob Psycho 100), Gyokuyou (Apothecary Diaries), Lady Nagant (MHA), Frieren, etc... her roles are so distinct and done so well.

Monica has a lot of hang-ups in her previous school life, and she is reliving them. On the other, hand she is experiencing a kindness she never felt before. In the long run, this could be a cathartic experience for her. She's entertaining, but I'm hoping for more high fantasy stakes like the first episode.

Lol it's fun to see the cat Nero with an human form, and that Lana girl is pretty cool with Monica so far, they have some similarities especially when it comes to loneliness. There's already some kind of ship between her and Felix ahah, but now there are so many things going on in the background, the political situation is tense.
