| I'm not fully caught up with the LN so I admit it seemed like a lot of rushed things resolved off-screen! I'm more confused than anything. Did Regulus actually die? Is there no emotional finality with Garf and his mom? Is that kind of the end of the Reinhard/Heinkel/Wilhelm drama? And many more. Enjoyable season of one of my fave shows but nothing beats the GOATed tension and emotions from season 2! I prefer the season-spanning mystery aspect. |

| A nice finale to the season. Always a pleasure watching Beatrice kick some ass. Very nice moments afterward when she reunites with Subaru. The sequence with the witch showing up felt a little rushed and purposely vague, but I know this is in no danger of being cancelled any time soon, so I'm not too bothered. Fairly interesting cliffhanger, as well. This was my second favourite Re:Zero season. The first season still holds the crown. I really enjoyed it for the most part. Just minor complaints here and there. Fun fights, nice sakuga, entertaining banter, and, of course, lots of carnage. I don't really look for too much else in this series. It is more of a guilty pleasure show for me anyway. The series needs more Rem, but Emilia is growing on me a bit. I like her a lot more than I did in the early days, at least. Rem will forever be the correct choice though ;) Score: 8.04 |

| Liliana was a good character but they just had to force a song, sometimes three, into every episode. That was a little off-putting for me. I also hate cliffhangers, especially at the end of a season, and no I did not think this was the best arc. Good, but not great. |

| The city of Priestella escapes danger, but there's plenty of drama to come... The Sin Archbishops of Gluttony are one of the most threatening characters out there, as they can really throw a wrench in the works of the group with their powers. Luckily, the good guys barely escaped with victory, though outside of Sirius, the other Sin Archbishops have fled, and we'll surely see them again in the future. Of course, there can't be any sustained happiness in this series, so that cliffhanger with Julius was exactly what the doctor ordered. Season 3 was the best that this series has looked visually, with updated designs and more polished animation. It had some incredibly epic fights, but at the same time, I don’t think the characterization was as strong, as the series gave way to being more action-heavy. It does bring into question whether or not this series has aged as well as I would have hoped (since I had Season 1 and 2 rated very highly), but nonetheless, this was still an enjoyable season. Arc 6 has been very hyped, so let’s hope White Fox can keep the strong quality coming. |

| Anime-only here, but I think the number of sin archbishops for each sins correlates with the syllables in their names. Gluttony has 3, which are Roy, Lye, and Rui. The other sins in exception of Envy has only one. Envy has none as Satella still holds her witch factor. Also, Al calling Beatrice by 'Beako' is really suspicious, add that with the other noticable hints he has dropped throughout this season—like, him saying something along the line of "You better get your ass here *before I die?*" during his fight with Capella. I think it's just a given at this point, right? And of course, the season had to end with a cliffhanger. I guess that's just what makes Re:Zero, Re:Zero. Gotta make the viewers suffer aswell π€£ |

After a while I started asking to myself while they were all celebrating "WHERE IS JULIUS." Even though I knew the answer I still asked the question. >.> |

| The happy music combined with shocking scene at the end was crazy. After Rem, now we got Julius erased from everybody's memory, except for Subaru. Could he be an important character for the next season? I'm ready for another Subaru-Julius team up! This season was great. Definitely the best one so far. I like how everybody have to fight strong enemies and not just the MC who got the spotlight. Looking forward for the next one. |

From a psychological slow burn mystery thriller, building anticipation for something big almost entire seasons. Every time it felt Rewarding to uncover something new about the Story.
I DO Understand, this WAS SUPPOSED to be a PAYOFF arc, where Invincible finally Meets Conquest n Boom!!! Heroes meets Villains, Stakes are High, shit takes place in a Large Scale & It's Time to Showcase the Character Development our MC was undergoing for 2 whole seasons.
BUT the Sudden change in theme, to more Battle Heavy (I understand still), return of A Lot of characters & "3 Sin Archbishops" OMFG, they wer Barely shown in the first 2 season and Suddenly this level of Elevation in Threat?!! This season Focus on A LOT, I mean LOT of stuff BUT even with supposedly "High Stakes" it didn't feel "High Stakes" until the last few eps. Which it Conveyed in almost entire season 1 and the 2nd half of season 2.
Apart from the shift in Tone of the show, Some other things that were disappointing to me.
Firstly, Regulus. The way he was portrayed in the show, was Not Scary from any angle. The way he and Gluttony were Shown as, a big threat from the starting episode of season 2. The Execution didn't really elevate the Threat. He didn't Feel like a Threat, but an Annoying Brat, who he is btw, but he was more cringe than a threat. Holy, Betelguese gave me more chills than Regulus. Echidna's presence during the trials was scary. The fight with Reinhardt was a let down.
Secondly, Liliana, very annoying character from the start. Tbh the first character I hated in Re:Zero.
Thirdly, The Fights were disappointing. I mean there were Cool Moments, but majority of the Fights, especially till the end of 2nd core, all were a let down with all the dialogues and cuts. They tried to focus on Every characters Every episode bit by bit, which made each fight felt dragged too long. Look at the White Whale fight, even if it was Long, it didn't lose the momentum, it will be one of THE BEST Fight scene of Re:Zero, yet.....still, I think th last few fights of this arc was Fantastic. They did Garfiel Justice.
Also wanna talk about some Things I loved about this season.
Firstly, the Animation department did an amazing Job from their side, especially from the COVID affected season 2, it was a Big upgrade in Quality. It's small but the New designs look BEAUTIFUL.
Secondly, Sirius, Garfiel and Priscilla , amazing Characters. The way they were Portrayed in the show they were amazing, building tension, Garfiel's past, his overcoming of something that Has haunted him since the end of s2. The fights omg, in each scene, they steal the moment. They really shine. Their Voice acting was Tremendous, especially with these 3 characters. Amazing work on building up the characters. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SEASON.

Thirdly, Subaru. Loved him. Always have. His character build-up from season 1 & 2 payed off well enough in season 3. His intelligence, physical strength, willpower and Leadership. He was INVINCIBLE this season. His speech brought me tears, although he was Cringe, I just love this character.

Totally agree with you. There's something this season that just felt off and out of place. It felt rushed and at times totally unrecognisable. As a non light novel reader and anime only viewer I had heard alot from the fan base that this arc was "peak zero" etc so naturally coming into this I was beyond hyped after a big gap from season 2 which was honestly amazing and anything that followed had alot to live up to. From the start of watching season 3 It felt off and rushed. The intrigue and mystery which you mentioned was missing totally, alot of the characters this season felt flat beyond what you mentioned because I also felt Pricilla, garfiel etc were actually some of my favourites this season as well as the episode of the sword saints past which was actually for me the only emotional feeling episode of this season.
The animation and music was great and it definitely had its moments but I actually felt the opposite about subarus speech, didn't hit the feels not even close to the many amazing moments from season 1 to 2. I could ramble on as this about the many reasons why but I'd say that it goes down to the pacing and writing. How all the characters previously felt real, you believed their struggles and stories they were all so beautifully told from Subaru and Rems episode in season 1 about starting life again from zero (Probably one of my favourite scenes in anime by the way) a whole episode dedicated to raw emotion it flies by and hits you every time, I've seen it so many times and nearly every time I still get emotional watching it lol one of the other best episodes with Subaru being buried in the snow at the manor with rem. Could go on about the many great emotional moments and interesting characters from roswall to echidna even betelagese, Subaru and Emilia in season 2 Emilia and Beatrice struggles and coming to terms with their trauma and moving forward. All emotional and amazing storylines.
The rivalries in the past were unravelled and interwoven in the plot, that slow burning world building and dark intrigue Subaru and roswalls rivalry was awesome and echidna and the witches creepy and amazing, always got Alice and wonderland vibes from season 2. All of this was what made the show so unquie and amazing but I feel this shonen type of "All out battle" doesn't suit rezero at all. There was too much content going on and most of it felt rushed and devoid of character and heart which the first two seasons for me had in spades.
The big problem with the anime community and form discussions I see here is that sometimes if there is any criticism it's taken as an attack but we need more debate and discussion without being offended by opinions because I love Rezero and having an opposite view without glazing something and having substance to an opinion and being able to debate is what makes our community fun and unique. there's many that loved this season. I enjoyed it but it definitely didn't really feel like Rezero to me and no I'm not one of those people who say Subaru has to die and use rbd to reset things all the time to make the plot interesting, he's grown as a character from the previous seasons and values his life more as he should, I just personally feel this was alot weaker and rushed than what I've seen previously and not why I fell in love with the show. I would agree with you just that I'm disappointed because it's one of my favourite shows but I really hope that we can get more into the grass routes of the story going forward and really let the characters breath again. I'm told the next arc is very good so I'm quietly hyped lol. Also I agree about Liliana she was so annoying and super cringe lol
