Really disappointed in this series after this episode. I'm not against pervy or mature stories. I think the characters having a healthy sex life can be part of the middle age fantasy and was an ok element so far. It's cringe, but so is most genre fiction about divorced or burnt out old men.

This episode introduces sexual peril for fan service and is extremely lazy at best, and skeevy as hell at worse.
It's one of those genre elements, that I always hope any particular anime can break away from.

Shit like this is why anime as a hobby is a red flag.
Those scenes of assault were written and drawn and animated for the titillation of someone.
Would you want to hang out with that person?
@pranefuji You got a point, and it is quite a shame.
Don't listen to people when they tell you that the anime that you want to see doesn't exist, and to quit asking, and quit searching. I found my dream anime, and yours could be out there too. Speaking of which, watch Record Of Grancrest War, you're missing out.

I thrive on fantasy anime, and anime with all adult casts!

Kenichi agrees to rescue Primula from the bandits. Only a few decided to join his party as the rest is fearful of the bandits which numbered 50.

JFC, it’s aggravating how their city is full of cowards. They all derided Kenichi’s group when they took the challenge of taking out the bandits. They then proceeded to celebrate as if they were the ones who took the bandits out. They were badmouthing Kenichi’s team as they left, even insinuating they were thieves themselves. They even insinuated they would run away, and leave with the money provided by Mallow for the rescue. That's fucking despicable. If you have nothing nice to say or are unwilling to assist in taking a hard quest then STFU and mind your own business. Sadly, in a town full of adventurers none of them had the guts to step up and help Mallow, who has done so much for their town. I would've rubbed it in their face as much as possible. They should be ashamed of themselves for their cowardly behavior. In a town of more than 200 people, only 7 dared to step up and help a man in need. 4 of them happened to be Beastkin and one bobcat. That bobcat alone had more courage and loyalty than the majority of those cowards. I was so happy when Myaley and her gang showed up to help Kenichi in his time of need. That was inspiring. The sad part is that those same people will come crying for help when their asses are on the line. I wouldn’t help them, but I know Kenichi wouldn't even hesitate to do so. That’s just the kind of guy he is. Anyway, sorry for the rant. I enjoyed this episode even though it was a bit rushed. It showed us how courageous Kenichi can be when he needs to protect someone he cares for, and how he can inspire his friends.

I don’t know what to say about this episode *lol*.

This anime is underrated because of its terrible art and animation, but I still like it—I generally love slice-of-life shows, even if that’s not its main genre.

The episode was average, honestly. The anime is simple, like telling your little brother a story about a guy trying to save a princess.

I’m still waiting for the anime to deliver a bigger dose of excitement.

The matter on Shaga becomes commonplace, and wrecks the Mallow Trading Company, even going as far as to kidnap Primula, Kenichi has no choice but to act prudent and conduct the rescue mission.

Kenichi going all out to recruit people on the dangerous mission to pursuit Shaga and his 50-men band of bandits, it's standard for the bobcat, as well as Myaley and the cat beastfolk alongside Norspaul with his new sword...and the old merchant man who was once a mage, plus cook Amana, it's Kenichi and his 8 allies on the go, despite the scorn they received to face off the immense danger.

While Amana is going as far as a stop before reaching the fated old castle to fight, Kenichi biting a nutcracker similar to being induced with drugs to give him semblance of skill sure is psychedelic. Otherwise, everything is as per planned for a direct confrontation, even facing Shaga with the accuracy of their weapons to save Primula. It was kinda of an easy work to eradicate the bandits, save the captives and get them refreshed, though the little girl of Anemone also needs attention, and Primula definitely has the hots for Kenichi now...

It's clear that animation took a hit for the action, and this is just bare bones animated...

It's time to rescue the Mallow trading company daughter, Kenichi brings out the 4WD kei pick up truck as his transport lol, he also introduces a mechanical bow. Interesting episode tech wise but the rest was pretty bland, the animation flopped pretty badly too

Well, you certainly can’t say the battle against the bandits wasn’t animated lol, it honestly reminded me a bit of Demon Lord Retry in that the goofy art and animation kinda makes it more entertaining, also just the absurdness of Kenichi beating all these guys with a backhoe lol. Also old man using explosion, is that a Konosuba reference? I feel like it’s gotta be but Megumin would probably call that old man’s explosion weak lol.

But hey at least the ladies are saved, and now Anemone looks more like she does in the key visual, nice to have her as part of the cast officially now. Also lol at Kenichi wanting to get it on with Primula right then and there because of the drugs, this is a wild show alright, even if the quality isn’t all there it has been stupidly fun so far.

And now you're telling me none of those blokes weren't using bows? Sure, might've been drunk on cheap booze but still, cat girl would've been a goner as she's their last line of defense, simply sniped by a barrage of arrows.
But bro got the girl and that what matters

You know what?

Most of these shitty online shopping anime are just the MC blazing through life buying food and shit while everyone else fights for them, from magical creatures to adventurers, they protect the MC while MC does nothing but shop, usually for food to be a beta chef bitch for all. Most of the time, they don't even bother with it and MC is just doing nothing interesting, at all.

The fact that the writer of this anime not only added conflict, and made the MC go out of his way to beg others for help knowing his own weakness but having willingness to go save someone anyway, is just a shock to me.

This anime has average art and animation, but the writing is a step above most of these iseaki's in the market. Having conflict for MC, weakness, and showing growth, damn.. good for you writer/s or director/s (considering the long-ass credits).

@Alfredo-Sauce The show has specifically stated Japan's weapons laws as the reason, if you remember why he couldn't buy a longer blade for the knight...
@Love_And_Forward According to Japanese law, cold steel weapons can be sold, but they must be registered. You can also purchase sports equipment for activities like tameshigiri (katana cutting). I assume we are talking about firearms. Composite bows and crossbows are generally considered sports equipment. They can be easily purchased almost anywhere. There are also many items officially classified as agricultural equipment that are actually swords. While it is possible to purchase a sword for personal use in Japan, it is difficult.
Mc-kun should have bought armor for everyone. It is inexpensive now and easy to find. The quality is exceptional by medieval standards. A handful of people wearing armor and carrying normal weapons could easily defeat the local bandits. You can watch De Quitem (The Brigands) for more information on this topic.
