Well this seems like an odd way to end the season as I thought they would've finished after an arc and we just getting to the crazy part of this arc. I really loved this show and will be coming back for more. I do like they brought up the accidently kiss as I figured someone would've remembered that.

Based on his appearance and the opening, I thought Jiji would be very sarcastic and the type of guy to try and act cool, so his straight-laced/mature first impression in the last episode threw me in for a loop before he started acting more goofy and dumb, which is less surprising. I really dig the friendship between him and Okarun. Lots of funny moments here between them.

Jiji seems like a pretty chill guy to be around when a woman isnt involved, like the moment one appears the harassment begins. I feel bad for momo, Jiji just had to live in the diddy town. Since we seem to have our main cast set out Im excited to see what goes on in season 2.

It was good but hella frustrating if you dont read the manga and wait for a sevond season to continue the story. I read on the internet that the anime only cover to chapter 36 of the manga, so it seems that the second season, while also taking long, will also not cover much, so another waiting season again for the third.

Gonna read the manga, even if i also dont like to read ongoing mangas because, again, even for the manga i would have to wait, but atleast is quicker than waiting for the anime adaptations

Season 2 is more like a part 2 than an actual new season...

@MadanielFL I see no problem with it. It was more common before to end the episode instead of a season finale, I mean.

I came into this anime with zero expectations knowing it was toilet literature and got my preconceived notions confrimed. Crazy how EP7 was the only good episode from this anime and that happens in a narrative and thematic vacuum; this was basically Chainsaw Man but stripped of any underlying substance behind the vulgar ADHD humour that that story tried to tell. Dandadan really felt like an anitwit anime. Not the most overhyped anime of the year (that's still Frieren), but this is close. Even Re:Zero was more palatable from this season.

@HealthAndWealth Frieren was just as boring as the fable for me. I couldn't watch it past the fifth episode. Some animes are just over hyped to me.

Extremely overrated anime imo.
It's good but not that good imo.
It's still an episodic and basic shounen anime. With no real story.

@ZER0PT Very overrated. The weird stuffs were okay, but overall the anime was not really that interesting. I just watched Kaiju no 8 before watching this and I honestly preferred it. I don't think I'm going to watch the second season of this.

Terrible timing for ''to be continued''. Overall an extra overrated anime that stands out solely because of extreme amount of chaos and pretty women, too much fan - service and too little substance. I miss CSM, Tatsuki's students disappoint so far.

Honestly, this show is alright. Its humorous, good animation with interesting characters but I must say, the story is pretty random lol. Overall that's not a bad thing I guess. I give it a 7ish for now. I enjoyed this season and I'm looking forward to the next one honestly. Hearing the voice actors I know so well play interesting and unique characters that im not used to hearing them play is fun too. Gabi from SnK, Tanjirou from KnY mainly.. oh I almost forgot Luffy aswell ahaha.

And that's the end of the first season of Dandadan. The animation was good, and Science Saru will also be animating the Ghost in the Shell remake, so I'm expecting that to have good animation too.

Looking forward to the second season of this in Summer 2025. Season 2 of Kaiju No. 8 and Season 2 of Sakamoto Days will also be airing in the same season, which is making Summer 2025 to be a really good season.

And yeah, I noticed the Slam Dunk anime OP and ED reference. Slam Dunk is huge in Japan afaik.
