Oh, Tahoumaru, Mutsu and Hyogo made a pact with the demons to defeat Hyakkimaru. Also, he's a demon too.

Death flags for Hyakkimaru's mother in this episode.

An extra eye showing in Tahoumaru's scar was creepy.

Didn't expect to see Hyakkimaru's mother helping Doror to flee, and to go with him to find Hyakkimaru!

Hyakkimary is mounting rapidash, and killing everyone in the way, its kinda satisfying to see!

That final was really intense, didn't expect Tahomaru and his bodyguards to pact with the demons and use Hyakkimaru's eyes and arms to slay Hyakkimaru! They crossed the line, now they ahve to die!

But damn, it elt me with an awesome clifhanger, i ended the episode like "NO WAY, OMG OMG, WTF", cant wait for next week!

MY GOD! EPIC EPISODE!!! DAMN!!!!!
Tahomaru become hybrid demons as well as those two Mutsu and Hyogo who have their arms back!
It was heartwarming how close the mom of hyakkimaru and Dororo is!
5/5!

I think the lost true eyes of Hyakkimaru is now currently in the possession of Tahomaru, the two demon eyes on the scar of his right eye!

His eyes and arms.. I didn't realise it before he screamed 'those are mine'. Tbh, i felt a chill watching that scene.. Does this mean that to take his body back he'll have to kill Tahomaru and 'at least' ... chop.. 😓 the arms of the siblings again.. 😳 And I was so looking forward to him getting his eyesight back too..
the demons are cruel.. 'making' him a 'demon' while he attempts to get back what is his.. 😣

It's so unfair, for all the parties involved.

I'm on Hyakkimaru's side though.. he was never even given a chance to know what life is before it was taken away from him for saving other lives.. on top of that being called a demon.. !!! 😡

Also, that Rapidash is super cool.. i was wondering last episode why did they have to kill such a highly detailed character, got my answers now.

Dororo's 'you can live without your oka-chan' pulled at my heartstrings.. T-*
Ah, I want the show to end already, with Dororo being up taken in by Hyakkimaru's mom so that she can get all the motherly hugs she wants all the time.. 😋

WOW! The gears are put in place or rather ... The remaining parts of the body of Hyakkimaru. 2 eyes for Tahomaru, 1 arm for Mutsu and 1 arm for Hyogo. To recover his body completely Hyakkimaru will have to fight hard. This road of events really surprised me!
I did not imagine either seeing Hyakkimaru riding on the "Nyu" or burning white horse. Could you consider yourself a demon? I do not know, but seeing Hyakkimaru on the burning horse was fantastic.

Hyakkimaru's mother has always loved him. Seeing that scene of her looking for him in the river then being abandoned when she was born, moved me a lot. She is a good woman, only that she was forced to follow the orders of her lord and the weight of her dying land.

I'm glad to see Dororo without any physical damage. It is a great relief.

The final battle approaches. Will Hyakkimaru recover what is his or will he be snatched again? I'm excited for the last episode of this story. I only ask that Daigo pay more than for what he did to his own son.

I just realized that the second eye appears in place of the scar on Tahomaru's forehead that Hyakki had given him last episode. Which means that they have received Hyakki's body parts as payment for what they lost at his hands. The show is positioning this not as stealing but as a just exchange. And it makes sense considering Hyakki was supposed to be fighting demons and getting back what was stolen from him, not 'stealing' the body parts (and lives) of other humans.

I see majority of people here already predicted Mutsu being a woman. Not me, though. xD I was very surprised when Hyougo suddenly began talking about his sister. I was like, "Dude, what? You have no sister." Turns out I was wrong.
That Rapidash is very angry.

Glad to see Hyakkimaru got some help from this Rapidash-like horse.

As for Tahoumaru, I don't even know where to start. Even though I'm a fan of Hyakkimaru, I was still rooting for Tahoumaru during the early episodes. I understand his jealousy & mental imbalance for not feeling enough love from his mother. When he changed to think that defeating Hyakkimaru is the only way to revitalize the country, I totally disagreed, but I can let it go.

And now he & his crew even took the body parts from Hyakkimaru? That's downright low-down.
How about sacrificing your own body/life for the country? Besides, why don't they even consider doing something else to revitalize the country instead of making the deal with the demons? Taking shortcuts will most likely leads you to the wrong path especially when it comes to running a country.

I was about rate this ep 4/5, but the ending changed my mind. That's 5/5 for me.

I really hope there was another way for Tahoumaru to have settled things. They gave in to a demon and are standing in the way of Hyakkimaru to get his full body back.

It's so much different than the other iteration which is a good thing..at least I think so. The people Hyakkimaru kills are not good people by any means so I don't really mind him going a little wild. Is the next episode an hour long? I have no idea how they'll wrap up every story in a regular episode.

Hyakki's mom only gets better and better with age ♥ I really hope that she along with Dororo would be the key to Hyakki retaining his already waning humanity without any of them having to die in the process but that'd be wishful thinking considering the situation they've thrown themselves into was.

It would've been less troublesome if Mutsu just rested in her room and do her best to somehow survive through her sickness until Tahou gets what he wants but she just had to go to the Hall of Hell... The guy on the fire cyclone horse is already pissed off enough but showing him that they made a deal with the vilest demon of them all to have his remaining body parts loaned to them was overkill. They're definitely gonna go all out at this rate.

Good lord, this is just getting more and more hamfisted. It's trying way too hard to make everyone look morally grey, and failing. Hyakkimaru has just got a bad and obviously fake coat of "going evil" paint on him, and Tahomaru has a got a bad coat of obviously immoral and self righteous narcissism paint. It's just all so tacky. Especially how he's acting morally outraged and as if he's been wronged. At least Hyakkimaru had the groundwork and reasoning behind going bad. It's still done shitty, but at least it's there.

These last too episodes can't come fast enough. I don't know what to blame or how much of this material is anime original considering the source material was only a few chapters long, but the first 12 episodes were great, and these last 10 were awful.
nah these last two episodes were better than the entire series prior to this especially the dynamic between them.

Someone doesn't not what a "no u" is. A "no u" response isn't limit to the words "no u". It encapsulates responses that in essence boil down to it, responses that have nothing beyond "I think you're wrong". And no, you simply said I was wrong and you were right. That's not a disagreement, what you did was try and assert facts. Like I said, I love it when people are stupid enough to think "no u" responses, especially those likes yours, mean anything. Especially when they try and walk them back or water them down after the fact.

You literally did not say that. Responding to someone saying "X is bad, because Y, Z" with "Nah, X is good" is exactly saying "you're wrong" and a "no u". IE; it's not just a disagreement. It's more than that. It's a "no u", an assertion of facts, an assertion that "u wrong".

Yea, because the vast majority of the users on this site who respond that way to negative opinions are trying to be funny. Why would I assume that? I wonder. Yeah you get it, your lack of awareness is your fault. Very good.

Been catching up on this series. The second cour has been a bit lackluster; but the last couple of episodes focusing on Hyakkimaru's increasing "demonicness" (that red thing glowing in him that Biwamaru sees) have been interesting. Especially with the characters that echo Hyakkimaru in some way: the one-armed shark guy and the guy who chopped his moms' hand off, most obviously. Note the themes of mutilation, loss, isolation, and single-mindedness common to those characters and Hyakkimaru. Then there's the Rapidash, which loses is colt, is mutilated in an explosion, and seems to share Hyakkimaru's drive (to recover the colt, to recover Dororo.)
Then you have the "healers" - Biwamaru, Jukai, Nuinokata, who are trying to improve the situation in various ways, though they have their own inner conflicts and limitations. Then you have Daigo, Tahoumaru, and their retainers, who are doing evil, but honestly for the greater good. There's a fair amount of moral subtlety here, and if the second cour is lackluster it's because the overarching story was weak for a while. Obviously the next couple of episodes will be climactic, and the overall quality of the series depends on how well that is handled.
...but then again, I unironically like Warau Salesman.

Wow what an episode. I wasn't expecting Hyakkimaru to be able to ride that demon horse or whatever it is..

This has gotten really interesting because it almost seems like Hyakkimaru is the villain now. At least I can understand both Tahomaru and Hyakkimaru's sides and why they both think they're right. It's this blurring the line between hero and villain that makes me love these characters.

The part where Hyakkimaru's mother said she'll accept her fate if he decides to kill her really got to me. She's really struggling between her loyalty to her land and the love for her son, and hopefully she'll be able to reach him.

Holy shit that ending though! I was not expecting the demons to give them Hyakkimaru's arms and eyes! This is going to be one intense battle.

Wow, that was surprisingly emotional. It just feels so tragic. Neither side is the bad guy, each is just doing what they think is right. It's really great that the show developed both sides, I don't want either of them to lose.

So much hate for Hyakkimaru.

A motherly episode.
He who smiles in a crisis has found someone to blame.
