| Batshit insanity but we loved every second of it. Definitely one of the best romcoms to come out in recent memory, definitely thanks to A-1 to the above and beyond adaptation. Unsure if this actually gets a 2nd season, but definitely wouldn't mind it. |

I hope they're already working on a second season. I don't get the last part. Maybe I am an airhead, but did they kiss? Does Yanami have feelings for Nukumizu? I don't see that as the case, but the animation makes it seem like it. WTF was that scene with Sosuke and her girlfriend... sh** was weird. I love this anime, really did! I rate this an eight out of ten. I honestly haven't watched anime like this since 2018. I should get back to this genre, I love the nostalgia.  |

| While the production values and comedy bits were great I thought that the romance part was lacking for the MMC. However, I can see him getting closer to Anna down the road but she still doesn't seem to be over her ex and his new gf as shown by her reaction when she ran into them at the amusement park explicitly licking a popsicle. The final episode was good with the "dates" Nukumizu had but it was surprising that he was being stalked by not only his sister but the creepy nurse lady too (does that nurse lady have no life of her own?). Anyways, I'm curious to see where this goes so hopefully a 2nd season will be announced at some point. 7/10 |

Good question and I was wondering the same thing but I don't think they kissed. Instead I think that Anna wanted to take a closer look at him and tease him. I also don't think Anna has feelings for him in a romantic way yet but she does like hanging out with him such as during lunch plus she had rejected the notion of them dating. Having said that if they make a S2 we'll see if their relationship further develops. |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| I don't watch seasonal anime much but this was different and thats exactly why its special. It obviously wasn't a 10 or 9 type of anime but this was the perfect anime to just sit back and watch every week, it really reminded how back in 2020 I would grind anime lmfao. Also im a bit confused did they kiss or not what happened on that ferries wheel???? |

| Was borderline dropping after first 3 eps, but the next 2 grabbed me back in, so I sticked for the rest of it. But it never really got all that good for me at any point which is unfortuante. Anyways, very late in asking this, but how do people pronounce 'Makeine'. Is it 'ma-kay-een' or 'ma-kay-ee-nay'? It would be the latter if we fully take it as romaji, but the former makes more sense if we're merging 'make' with the English word 'herione.' But now that I think about it, isn't it weird that the title (the one shown on MAL) is fully in romaji except 'Heroine.' Is this just because taking off the 'e' results in an undesirable word or is this just a stylistic choice? Not that knowledgeable about JP so maybe 'Heroine' is just the correct romanization. |

| This was basically an OVA, but A-1 didn't treat it like one. As usual, they knocked it out of the park! This time, they concentrated on the Nuku/Anna dynamic; I don't think they act like boyfriend/girlfriend as much as a couple that's been married 20 years. That's the level of chemistry they have together. Lemon and Komari had great lines, too(Komari's line about the carousel horses made me LOL), as well as most of the rest of the cast. Very rare is the comedy that can make me laugh out loud, and rarer is the show that I watch each episode twice. It looked great, the dialogue was snappy, and the feels were there, too, and it felt the feels were deserved, not forced. Easily my favorite anime so far this year. Oregairu and Love is War are my gold standards for romcoms; Makeine S1 is better than either of their respective season 1s, to me. Season 2 would cover Vols. 4-6 of the LN; I think they are better than Vols. 1-3, so the potential is there for a classic series people will be mentioning years in the future. 9.4/10 |

| Such a promising fun start only to turn to shit with the stupid love drama between some side characters. Why ruin something that had a good start? Rom-com should not have stupid drama in it if drama is not in the genre ffs. Last episode was quite fun though. Could have easily been an 7/8 if it would stay on rom-com. Otherwise, a mediocre shows thanks to stupid drama. Ugh, I hate that genre so much. Doesn't deserve more than 5 in rating. |

| Great show, I love how they didn't fall for Nukumizu straight away like the typical romcom/harem. Pretty wholesome that they just stay as friends, But ig there will be an actual romance eventually. Hopefully this gets another season |
| Now that season is over it is safe to say that this is best romcom since Insomniacs after School, they gave us lots of Anna x Nukumizu crumbs for finale now we just wait for S2 |
| Holy shit... this anime was so good... without a doubt it's one of 2024's best, and probably the best romcom in years... I need more........... Anna ❤️ For me, the other characters really never mattered, Lemon, Komari, all the others, for me since the very beginning it was all about Nukumizu and Anna, nothing more, so this episode made me so happy. I kinda disliked how Anna just didn't want to say that Nuku was his boyfriend and everything would be solved, but the way this ended... I guess we will never know what they talked about, but I have my ideas, Nuku should step up his game, it's a certain win. And I suposse everyone else thinks she takes photos of Nuku for herself, not to edit them like she says uwu I'll be waiting for a 2nd season, I'll miss Anna so much ❤️❤️❤️  |

| For an original episode, this was a really fun one. Anna's idea of a fake boyfriend date at Nonhoi Park was amusing in the same way that it was sort of doomed to fail. Still, it got plenty of laughs out of me seeing her add to the many things that her fake boyfriend does for a living. XD It was also typical for Anna to boast about her 10,000 yen bill, only to not have enough money for the trip back home! She always succeeds in making me laugh with her wacky plans like this! Overall, this series has been a blast. A-1 Pictures put a lot of care and love into the production values and it easily shows with how vibrant and alive the show looks. The cast were fantastic, not only with their development, but also how they made the episodes more fun. I can't decide between an 8 or a 9, but either way, I really do hope there'll be a second season announcement in the near future. =) |
| There were some decent episodes and the production was stellar, but the second half of this show was very weak for me and mostly dull to watch. The anime original finale isn't terrible by any means but not one I enjoyed a significant amount. |
| I dont understand how people are labeling this anime as romcom. Nothing romantic happened between any of the girls and MC. And I highly doubt it's getting a second season. Honestly if the MC ended up with one of the heroins it would be unexpected and something fresh for once but it felt that this anime went nowhere. |

| Very good show as it is and honestly, I'm not sure I want a second season, I found everything perfectly wrapped us as it is. Production-wise, everything was very high level, I found it quite well written and funny and all the characters are enjoyable. |
