| Kobato is feeling good about the day, but it's not for Osanai who can't help being blamed for the crimes that she didn't commit, like the tampered strawberry tart and the stolen bicycle which become part of a break-in case. And it's the shopping for cakes part that Kobato treats Osanai, though Kengo joins thereafter with her disguise removed, being treated to cocoa, and the way of how he makes it delicate. All of this on a rather calm Sunday between friends, but that raises a psychological question of his life. The mystery of a leftover spoon that's laden with cocoa in a perfectly dry sink, Kengo must've done something incredible enough not to make a stain on anywhere. Together with Kengo's sister Chisato, the resolution gets underway of how Kengo did the deed with 3 cups, not 4. It takes a bit of ingenuity to recap even the minute details, and the hot milk was the one thing that was "wet", being microwaved and the cocoa done from the instruction manual. Some would say that this show is mundane, but it sure tickles the mind for some. |

| Mind-numbingly boring and dull. 20% done with the series and nothing remotely interesting or of consequence has happened yet. Whenever Kengo shows up in this series it's like the bat signal for pointless BS. Kobato talks about appearing normal a lot, but it's probably not normal to keep ditching plans with the cute girl to hang out with that moron who just keeps wasting your time. |

| @degenerate-2002 I've never seen a milk carton with a foil lining. They're usually wax paper, but I think the little cartons we got in grade school were just paper. I remember how the milk tasted awful out of them. I haven't had milk out of a carton in decades though; at least where I live it all comes in plastic jugs now. This was an odd episode, the hot cocoa mystery. I hope future episodes have plots that are a little more interesting. I did like that he made his hot cocoa the same way I do. The mixing part I mean, I don't microwave entire cartons of milk. I figured out how to mix a small amount of hot water with the powered cocoa to turn it into syrup before adding the milk when I was a kid. |
