The fights are still okay, but the plot... it's contrieved and nonsensical anymore. There were a few time where I ended up laughing b3cause of aheer ridiculousness of it.

I got my AOT back, that's what I thought when I was watching this part. Part 1 was like a blur to me. I don't read the manga but its obvious where this is going, though I want to see how.

Attack on Titan is the greatest anime, no, show ever. I think even in the next generation AoT will be the best anime in history. Every episode is top par, the story is fantastic and everything is logical beyond belive. Zero filler in this long-running and beautiful piece of work.

This show is a masterpiece that will be discussed for years and years to come.

The clown offering Levi some candy is probably the best moment in all of attack on titan

Alright, re-watching AOT is done, and now we just wait for Attack on Titan: The Final Season: Part 3: The Final Chapters: Part TWO, where this epic saga comes to an end.

Not gonna leave a wall of text today, so let's get this over with simple and sweet: I did enjoy this Final Season by Mappa more than when I first watched it, when it was airing. However that increase in the enjoyment factor was not as big as the gap with the 3 seasons by Wit Studio. Maybe it's just because I hadn't watched this in a while, or that that was actually one of my first anime and couldn't properly give it the appreciation it deserves. But I can say re-watching the season by wit studio has quite tremendously improved my opinion on them. I had left them with around mid-7/10s, and have left them all with high 9/10's, and have even given S3 P2 a 10. It can be a variety of factors, but those slightly simpler times just hit harder for me. Maybe it's the animation, the soundtrack, or the story itself, I'm not quite sure. But I still do very much give wit studio a leg up on mappa in terms of AOT.

AOT doesn't have a single bad episode, and that still remains true for the final season parts 1 and 2. I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything that happened in the Paths. Those are moments deserving of being called "peak fiction". Everything after that and seeing what all our characters go through was great (or not-so-great, for them) to see as well. Just a simple campfire scene with enemies sitting across from each other was an enjoyable experience. The fight scenes are still janky imo and nowhere NEAR as fluid as what wit studio did. But that's fine, since that's no longer an important factor. It's the context in why it's all happening which is what's important. And this last episode, yeah it slapped. I was thinking of giving this a 0.1 point over the 8.8 I gave part 1, but I think this last episode alone was enough to push it to a 9- but just a low one at that. Anyway, see you guys when the final episode airs later this year, hopefully.

9.2/10

I don't understand why
they felt a need for this
backstory. I wish Eren and
Mikasa got together, but it's
cool to see him follow the footsteps
of his father by procreating with royal
blood.
I want the rumbling to succeed. Eren Yaeger
isn't evil. He did nothing wrong.

I really want to give this a 10... but the episodes without Eren were just really meh. Maybe I'm just biased cause I like Eren but I wish this went another direction. Still... I had a blast watching it, so maybe it is deserving of a 10.

Annie has been listening to Armin for 4 years, but I haven't seen any moments from this couple. I only have Annie-Armin left to cheer for. Eren probably can't be paired with Historia. Mikasa-Jean as well lol
Begin.
Wow long flashback here. Our friends in "strange" clothes.
Sasha is back.
Honestly, I'm not used to them dressing like this. Very interesting. I also think this is a Parody Ep.
I'm watching the movie Titanic lol
Mikasa in white is truly a work of art.
It's strange that Levi didn't kill the dude in that clown costume.
So happy to see Sasha again. Like she's not dead.
I didn't expect ep 12 to be so fun.
Compared to season 1, I didn't expect the story to go this far. It was like I was watching a 1940s war movie.
Eren-Mikasa looks so pretty together.
It was clear that Mikasa likes Eren in a man-woman relationship, not because they lived in the same house since childhood or because they were a family.
This ep is so weird but full of warmth. I like it. There's no dialogue, only music, but it's emotional in a way.
The character Mikasa really shines in this ep. Though she doesn't appear much.
Don't tell Eren to destroy the world because of love. Such a childish thought, Mikasa.
Out of many people, Eren trusted Floch.
Oh C'mon Eren-Historia! C'mon! Let's go! My heart is sobbing.
Oh Theoretically, Eren is right. But that's the extreme way. So that intention was Eren's, not Ymir's?
Oh no Zeke was the one who confessed on Mikasa's behalf.
Damn, is this a love triangle?
I really want Eren to love Historia, but that would make Mikasa sad. idk
I think Eren is a bit selfish.
I can't support Eren anymore, he's been swallowed up by hatred. But I completely understand that feeling, which proves one conclusion: if a person possesses too much power, there can be severe consequences.
Hope this is Ymir. Not Eren.
And one more important thing, where is Zeke?

It's such a moral dilemma. Not everyone is evil, and there are plenty of nice people. However, I still think wiping out everyone is the best option. Unfortunately, nice people are not always in power, and they're the oppressed in many cases. I believe it's a rule that people who are evil and play dirty always end up on top. By annihilating everyone, both good and evil are gone, and the good ones are saved from living a life of hell underneath the tyranny of the evil few. Anyway, it's my radical opinion.
I truly wish Eren would win in the end! However, I'm sure the author will cater to the majority, just like what happened in Code Geass. Nonetheless, I still think both shows are great! I accepted the reality that anything radical is instantly rejected by society.
Damn, that scene at the end + OST was f*cking awesome! Now I see how those Titans can wipe out everything. Stomping on people is just a bonus; their steam is hot enough to kill everyone within range.

So much just happened in this episode dude, and I know some people fr cried because this was just a flashback, but honestly this might be one of my favorite episodes. It's so weird to see the scouts this happy and relaxed, and let's be real, from this point on we might not see something like that again.

I loved seeing them experience new things on the mainland, but also seeing Eren change was interesting. And then that whole ending sequence where he comes up with the plan to basically destroy everything, that was insane. And that final sequence where we see multiple nations try to stop the rumbling. That was just scary lol Eren has become what he once swore to destroy. He is flattening whole cities now... Onto the hour long special.

This is truly a finale with author willing to destroy and kill everything for the sake of the story, even more so than in the past.

I can't say anything but that it's terrifying to watch but at the same time I couldn't step away from watching it all in one go. (thank god that I don't have to suffer waits between the seasons).

What's more incredible is how author manages to pay off all those weird set ups, that were set up in the past. Throughout the series there were all sorts of strange things and secrets here and there. But to see it all explained, resolved and actually happen is something else.

The set up of "The titans inside wall can march and destroy everything at single order." I always though "Cool but there is no way that it will ever happen". And yet here we are in the last season with it actually happening with no mercy or delusions either. "Even when things go well, half of the world will still end up getting destroyed" and when did things ever go well in this show.

Well I have two more episodes of OVA to go... hopefully that is the actual end. Not that I want it to end but the author is burning it all up and there is no way back.

Man, I really don’t get the love for AOT Final season. It really went downhill after the peak S3. Also, considering everyone hates the ending, the final part will likely be widely panned. Idk, I’m just upset the AOT I loved died…

seeing them all have fun and hanging out just makes me miss aot season one when there was one simple enemy not the entire world or eren. also them colossal titans are scary as hell them mf really be swimming all the way and i thought they were going to walk. also erens founding titan looks creepy but badass. also seeing them marley soliders run from eren and the gang i dont blame them. like imagine you were called to shoot cannons to legit titans and them mf pulling up with millions whilst a big skeleton fucker is watching you like come on

The whole party scene had me covered in goosebumps and ready to cry. For the first time, it really sinks in what the Rumbling is going to destroy. But more than anything, so much about Eren's character is trickling out here. This episode is a right masterclass in setting the stage for the grand finale.

So Eren did disclose to Flock his real plans. I was certain Flock lied, but it turns out he didn't. To Flock and Historia too.

Damn, Eren wiped the seafloor with that big-ass navy. Unless he goes down, or someone eats him, only nukes could stop those Titans. And nukes do not yet exist in this world, otherwise they'd have used them.

That memory scene between Zeke and Eren also answered Mikasa's question. She was afraid to say that she loved him, but assuming Eren was dense enough to not realize it (doubtful) Zeke ensured that he did later on. But it did not matter to him, since he only had 4 more years of life.

On to the first "special" 3-parter, and then a short wait for the final one until Nov 5...
