| There's definitely something very uncanny valley going on with this show so far. On the surface it seems like it's trying to be an earnest romance, but it's either botching it through incompetence or...I dunno? Hananoi's creepiness is at the center of it I think, but there are times where I'm left wondering if this isn't supposed to be taken as a parody. I swear if this ends with Hananoi's secret shelf having a severed head behind it, or him ripping his own face off to reveal a lizardman I think I'd give this a 10. |

| I don't understand the hate and the topic of toxicity associated with this anime since Hananoi seems to be really in love with Hinase and it's not like he's forcing her into a relationship or what. I must admit I got yandere vibes from Hananoi and probably this was one of the reasons why he's misunderstood by many viewers of this show, but I have a soft spot for yandere guys and girls: they're actually the sweetest, insane characters but ahh they love and fall hard. Not that I'm sure Hananoi is really a yandere guy though, but I think by now Hananoi worships Hinase rather than normally "love" her proven by the fact that he called her "angel" in the first episode. Still there were moments in this anime that really touched my heart, so I'll be looking forward to more episodes of this for sure ๐ |

Although, if you haven't read the manga, there is a very good reason why he behaves that way. When that's revealed, his behavior makes a lot more sense :) So many others are so shallow, however, they're only looking at the surface. Hint: Going through life taking things on face value will make you one of the clueless individuals around. Then again, I often get the feeling most people on MDL are young, and so are very inexperienced in life. Hopefully that will change as their emotional intelligence matures. Like you, this is one of my favorite romance anime in a while (loved A Sign of Affection too). I loved a sign of affection so much too. |
| I have to give credit to this series for at least that it doesn't shy away from the physical part of a relationship (even if they are just taking the first steps). I don't have problem with the obsessiveness of the guy per se, but all the more with that the story did't back his fixation on her up with a build-up phase, because right now it is based on nothing more than the pretty flimsy "hot guy gets obsessed with average girl for no other reason than that she held an umbrella out for him in the snowfall" premise. The other tihng is two episodes went by and I still don't know more about this guy than that he is "hot". |

| (Writting this as I watch) This just seems so hyperbolic with everything. The dramatic search for pin in episode 1, and now writing 10 notebooks with questions for test, waiting 2+ hours, I can't take it seriosuly. Those picutres of his parents with cut out silhouette were sooo suspicious. I'm surprised Hinase didn't react to them. Feels more and more like a yandere-type of romance, especially with that curtain scene, he's totally got a shrine there huh? (Oh My God he does) Kinda lame he doesn't want to be her friend, to me your partner SHOULD be your friend first. |

| Uhhhhhh what? He has a shrine for her? 0_o That suddenly took a very different turn, along with that scene where one of the things Hananoi wanted to do was make her his alone. Anyone else picking up Yandere vibes? lol Loving this show so far though, and I really want to see where this goes |

| Not him waiting for her for more than an hour everyday is something and also him whispering behind her ear, no words for that because I can't explain how would I feel. It is something weird but I am smiling kinda cheering for the both of them. Want to know more about Hananoi. Is he the one who cut those pictures? I think the pictures of his parents was cut by someone and he is not there. |

| Hotaru's first boyfriend through Hananoi, he's essentially her teaching guide, along with her classmates who are the same as well. But this is putting expectations on her, which Hananoi tries to help alleviate, though not in the usual couple ways which Hotaru herself is seeing other couples do. And when she actually tries, it's more of a battle between her and Hananoi waiting for her at the train station so that they can go to school together. Oh, the stubborness of Hotaru wanting to wait for Hananoi in the freezing winter cold, it may be OK for the guy, but not OK for the girl, which since this is Hotaru's first time experiencing feelings like this, she gets a pass. Even with a diary, this is their couple moment, and it's a sweet one like holding hands. From the first day to 3 weeks, Hananoi at this point is still unpredictable, as much as both Kyo and her boyfriend want to give some advice on the cusp of Christmas Eve. His parents being doctors, which mean that he's always at home, he brings Hotaru to his place to relax a bit better than the usual corner store to talk about Christmas and stuff like romance. Figuring out the thing they would want to do, Hotaru is rather blunt, but this is a test for both of them in their affectionate ways. Still a lot of danger, but caution is necessary. |

| Interesting premise, like it so far. Can relate to Hotaru in her way of thinking about love, good to see she's so upfront about it and Hananoi is understanding in that regard. Him admiring her so much to the point of fixating gives it a curious touch, too. |
