| @Acoustic_Sammy_X Yup, very emotional. And kinda reliable, when we discover as adults after many years what parents/other ppl did to us and how they probably were struggling themselves, but still made haven for us kids. |

@Comander-07 Think she is more protective in a sense that she see's frieren as her mother/female figure in her life and would feel uncomfortable with anyone carrying/touching her.

| Frieren sure released a bit of her inner Anya this episode. Not to mention she even showed way more facial expressions than usual... and all thanks to an ecchi potion lol. Seriously, character interactions this episode were sooo good. Now I wonder if Stark will try his luck with the Hero Sword someday. |

| What scene are you referring to? Did I miss something? If you mean the scene where Eisen explains the tradition to frieren that was when they were on their adventure. As I understood it it's been a tradition in warrior cultures but nobody ever explained that part to Stark. Why nobody ever bothered to explain it can be due to many reasons. Eisen being awkward about emotions. Maybe he assumed that Stark would know about this custom and didn't want to seem patronizing in explaining. Stark clearly never questioned it so nobody assumed that he wouldnt know. The likeliest is a mix of all of those with everyone involved being awkward about expressing emotions being the likely culprit of it all. |

| Yeah, this episode hit harder than expected. Stark realizing the Hamburg Steaks were actually birthday presents and that his brother cared for him deeply. This show has yet to disappoint. Even with all of the excess hype going around. |

| With the sword being almost a symbol of the hero himself, getting to see a little bit of the story behind Himmel's was not something I was expecting. Especially the fact that he was a "fake" because the sword didn't choose him, and him not letting that put him off from being a hero. Also a bit of a focus on Stark, with Frieren and Fern picking out gifts and celebrating his birthday, and also seeing what happened in his part with regards to the village he was brought up in. After seeing how well Stark has been fighting, its hard to believe that he wasn't always a natural at it, but it seems out of those in his family he was the weakest. |

| Fern clearly is into Stark some even though she seemingly looks down on him sometimes. She didnt want to hand him sleepy Frieren because she would be jealous of him princess carrying her. Woh apparently Frieren can be energetic and act excited sometimes. Ah so Stoltz was a good bro to Stark. I get the impression he is still alive. |
| Enjoyed this episode. Seeing them animate various panels in the manga is refreshing. |
| You'd think slice-of-life elements would hinder a fantasy story, this show slays. |
