| It might not be what some want, but this was probably my favorite episode so far, the song, the talk about heaven and the goddess, the respect and mourning for the dead, all of it was superb. |
| This makes me wonder if there is only one religion in this world. Id think more elves would be like Frieren if they could see religions come and go all the time. Kraft seems nice though he seems to confirm Frieren's more toned down demeanor is part of her personality rather than an elf specific thing since Kraft seemed more lively and expressive despite him assuming himself to be older. I assume if he cant tell Frieren's age maybe elves dont even age much even once they get old, rather they just expire. |
| I must say, seeing Freiren, Fern and Stark join Graf and the others in their tribute to the fallen soldiers while Milet's insert music playing in the background gave me serious goosebumps. It hits REALLY hard and makes the scene even more beautiful and peaceful. =) Still, the journey further into the Nothern Lands proved to be difficult when a blizzard forced the trio to find shelter. Upon finding a log cabin, they were greeted with a shirtless man doing squats, which was odd, but amusing. His name is Kraft and like Freiren, he's an elf as well, while also commenting that it has been 300 years since he's last say anyone of his kind at all. With a blink of an eye, 6 months pass by before the weather becomes calm enough for our trio to move on. The time that they spent with Kraft was pleasant. The highlight was the talk that Kraft and Freiren had together about religion, about how he used to be like Freiren at her "age" when it came to not being into religion at first before things led to him becoming a monk. Their discussion also made her think of Heiter in the past, where he noted about Freiren suppressing her mana, but also praising her as well. I do hope we'll see Kraft again, as he's a genuinely nice man. =) |
| its another elf!!! So they havent died out just yet. Something about them beeing so casual about the idea of dying out as a race bugs me, but I guess when you can just talk with other races and live with them it doesnt really matter much. |

| Nice to see another elf. And he called Frieren "young". Now that's the guy who's been around since prehistoric times lol. Would love to know more about his past. He certainly must have seen some shit :D "See you in few centuries" - I immediately thought of Frieren without Fern and Stark and got depressed a little. She'd be used to living without them by then. But if this whole "heaven" does exist, then death may not be that sad after all. |

@tetragramat Alive during that time or born soon after given how fondly he talks about it. I'd wager probably born soon after and might have had a glimpse of the Goddess, thusly his devotion to her and need for her to be real. To most, he was seeing things or mistook a stranger for the likeness. To him, he's old enough that it's within the realm of possibility, but it was also so long ago that he can begin to doubt what he witnessed.
| @SentiOnikawa Kraft tells Frieren that "I used to think like you". This means that his years of believing are relatively recent. If the goddess had been "around" when he was born, this would make no sense - as then he would've believed from the beginning, not starting later on in life. |
