Bro no csm is one of my favorites but this chapter was the worst one in all of part 2.
| @LaFlame77 well Fujimoto did say he was tried of drawing it so maybe the passion is slipping for him in earnest can't disagree the art is slipping, let's hope he's just stretching us to the limit for big deliveries |

| The drop in art quality has been extremely noticeable as part 2 has progressed, with large amounts of panels occupied by huge amounts of disorganized text bubbles and as much white space as possible. Even that aside, the story is completely scrambled and wholly unsatisfying compared to the midpoints of part 1. It feels like a waste of time to go through, though recent events of the plot at least seem to be building up to something moderately interesting. I can't say I super care, though. I want to like what's happening with the plot, but it's not giving me anything to grip onto, and it's just throwing information at me so quickly and all so suddenly, with still so many questions. Literally 5 chapters prior, we were being introduced to the mention of marriages and all that stuff with the chainsaw man church, which just established itself as a plot entity like 60 pages ago. I feel like the plot is building up and releasing itself all in the context of a single volume, which is hardly anything, and it's far too much to expect there to be any satisfying payoff. If I were to foreshadow a plot element, then 30 pages later, amidst movement and action scenes, all taking place in the same location, exposition dump to you how that foreshadowing splurged into the next big plot arc, I don't think anyone could find that satisfying. |

| 2.5/5 Probably the weakest chapter of part 2 so far. There were some grueling chapters in the aquarium arc but man, this one was notoriously bland and one-note for Fujimoto's usual standards After last chapter's reveal, most of us were expecting shit to hit the fan but it was mostly Denji & co. getting rescued and Quanxi flexing. Barem is still very chill for someone who's getting pinched and honestly, turning into one of my favorite characters. The Quanxi panels were nice but lacked the usual pizzazz of Fujimoto's artistic flair. Can't complain about those geometrically impossible thicc panels tho xD No Asa & Yoshida confrontation, No plot progression, it was all just meh tbh~~ |
