In a way, it is not bad (although I don´t like this change)...

I would appreciate at least a possibility to switch to old settings somewhere or something like that...

Xinil worked a lot on this so he ain't going to change it back cause of baseless flamming without argument.

Then his work is bad in our opinions and we'll criticize it.

Criticize if you want but subjective shit like 'I don't like it' don't bring shit on the subject.

I kind of like it... eventhough at first I was like WTF?! =P

However, its going to take some getting use to.

The only thing I don't like is that everything seems to be aligned to the left, leaving nothing but blank space on the right.

It's not that it looks bad, it's that it wastes space and has bad functionally compared to what we had before. It's a step backward for the sake of "style". But I'll even go as far to say that the style is pretty vapid and poor at that. There is a beauty to simplicity that people seem all too eager to forget about.

Well done man. That vertical menu just wasted precious horizontal space anyway. At first I couldn't put my finger on what changed (didn't see the top menu and all) but then I realized it felt a lot more 'spacey' and I liked the feeling. Not at all as crammed.

Now it's just about listening to those 'haters', haha, and make it even better. For everyone. As for me? I approve!

Wow, is the profile width really such an issue? If you have pictures then you'll either just have to center them or redo them to accommodate a wider width. That seems like such a trivial and childish thing to complain about.

Like heaven forbid we seem some welcome changes in here if it screws up what is I'm sure a small percentage of user profiles.

I think perhaps, on subpages of page (anything not home/panel), we'll remove the huge top logo. That way, for most of the site, we still get a decent amount of screen real estate. Decent compromise?

The old layout was a lot more compact and nicer to use, while this just makes it feel like everything is all over the place. It makes things simpler I give you that, but otherwise it just doesn't cut it.

So no, I don't really like this new navigation + layout.

Option to use the old one would be appreciated.

Say you've made improvements once you've permanently solved those SQL errors and returned the sidebar. I'd like to know what my numbers are for without having to mouse over the dropdown menu.

There was really the need to change it?
Honestly I think the old layout was one of the most functional I have ever seen in a website like this, I dislike this one, it's not immediate like the old one.
And also, this change has screwed up my MAL Updater.

Should be evolution, not revolution. :P Small changes are better. :)

I like new logo, il looks much more better, entire site look better. However navigation is harder than it was before, and loads longer. :(

Try make it faster.

the navigation heading are really not intuitive at all and should be reorganized, but other than that I think it's a positive change. I enjoy the wider pages and such -- feels cleaner.

There should be an alteration to the menu so that when you hover over a root menu item it closes all active menus other than itself. Because theres a cooldown before it hides menus onmouseoff (though a good thing), you get a trail of them if you move your cursor horizontallly over the root menus. It gives the impression of a slow response and it's distracting when you're quickly navigating and two menus are open at once.

I am a banana.

Don't mind but I think you should put some pixel between the blue bar and the top of the page, otherwise it would be too cramped imo.

With most things, it takes time to get used to something,
all the more so if the previous thing was widely accustomed to.
I don't mind a change like this, after a while it'll be all the same.
Problem is that my profile page doesn't seem to like it all that much.
I'll have to redo some of it to make it one whole again....

Menus on top suck. If I get a message and a invite to the club I have to click profile before I can click message???

and before one click was enough.....
You should just have to scroll over the menu and have bubbles pop up. At least that's how it is on my end.

So one click is enough, there's just more hassle than just going over to the sidebar and clicking 'Messages'

Well that's what I meant. I said it badly.
But you have the key word there. HASSLE. >.<

Sadly, demanding only makes you look extremely childish. This new layout is growing on me as I keep viewing it, but there are still a few things that I think should be added/changed/tweaked.

I'll compile them and post in a bit.

New MAL = Mac

If your happy with this than yeah its your site but come on, a Mac-book Mal V_V;;, whatever the site is still great >.>;; (actually the greatest so ^_^!!)

I can't say I really dislike it, but one sure thing is that I hope scriptmakers will soon make a dark version of it, because for now it's so WHITE.

Also, the vertical menu was great since you could have it always on your screen with scripts. Now you have to go all the way up the page to navigate, and that's definitely a downgrade.

but dropmenus ought to disappear the moment cursor moves away, right? also, i'd be most happy if their script wasn't connected to another site, but to myanimelist.net directly

Not liking it at all, and clubs are messed up all over. Why can't we have options instead of forced changes? I'd say more important things could surely be recoded, like messages.php which is not that functional. "Fix Inbox"?... eh.

Here's hoping for a new stylish theme from the guys in the MAL Theme Club to fix this.... well, at least the color scheme. I dislike having a bright white screen when I'm on the computer late at night.

The layout itself is a nifty change.

Considering that Xinil had put lots of time into it for the past couple of weeks working on this new layout and design, I really do not want to say this but the new layout and design looks messed up. On the contrary, I don't dislike it either. Perhaps, the new layout prevents those inbox glitches from occurring since the panel is now in the top designed differently.
