You just have low expectations for whatsoever reasons. Idk, you're salty, because main villain immediately left SS after Ichigo's arrival
Ok, I don't really want to promote toxicness here so I'll make an effort to defuse the nerve I struck with you. To be clear, what I originally called bullshit was not the plot, it was having made to wait for Ichigo to show up and fight the boss, only for the boss to immediately run away and make a fool out of Ichigo. Meaning it will likely be months until we get the payout for that training arc. Though this is not necessarily bad writing, it's cheap bait and switch tactics to keep us hooked longer. I blame the production (and editors of the manga) more than Kubo for this.
That out of the way, if you want to talk plot there are a number of weak ass devices. I don't particularly mind, as I said I'm not watching for plot, but it doesn't mean the holes aren't there. Why can't Team Zero go down fight in the Seireitei? Why could they use that capsule to go down the first time but now they had to send Ichigo down the slow way? Why did the ascension vulnerability only come up now (everybody pretty much knew Ichigo was coming down that way...). In fact, why didn't Rukia and Renji create the same opening when they broke through the shields apparently the same way? Why did Ichigo just patiently allow every member of the Meninas to hit him without doing anything real to defeat them?
There are explanations for most of these holes, but very weak ones that boil down to "because this is the way things are". Good writing establishes the rules of the game long before they came into play. Surprises and twists come from clever/unexpected uses of pre-existing rules, not from things we only just hear about when they become relevant. This season (and the others before) are riddled with "surprise! I have a hidden ability" moments. Makes for exciting battles but very poor plot.
Not to mention "surprise! the character we need shows up at the nick of time" moments, like with Kenpachi last episode. Like, how convenient he got through with his 'training'
just before his loved ones got in trouble. How convenient Byakuya shows up to give Rukia a pep talk just before she falls prey to her lack of self-esteem. Like how Chad and Inoue show up just when Ichigo chickens out after seeing Ishida with the enemy. Etc. Etc.
Now I'll leave this here, if this is not enough for you I'll assume you are just baiting me.
First of all I didn't mean to bait you at all, just to have a discussion. Why could they use that capsule to go down the first time but now they had to send Ichigo down the slow way?
Fair point, to be honest I don't know how to answer to that question.why didn't Rukia and Renji create the same opening when they broke through the shields apparently the same way?
I assume the clothes my not be the only "key" thing, this may be related to different type of Ichigo's training that has something to do with king's powers/reiatsu, but well. It's weird enough having clothes woven of bones(?). Why did Ichigo just patiently allow every member of the Meninas to hit him without doing anything real to defeat them?
He's just cocky and know that those girls are no threat for him right now. Also he is not a killer, even he warned thunder girl to dodge getsuga, because he was afraid of killing her.Not to mention "surprise! the character we need shows up at the nick of time" moments, like with Kenpachi last episode. Like, how convenient he got through with his 'training' just before his loved ones got in trouble. They can sense each other's reiatsu. And nick of time is a exaggeration imo. Rukia or Yachiru wouldn't die or smh if Kenpachi or Byakuya had shown a few more seconds laterLike how Chad and Inoue show up just when Ichigo chickens out after seeing Ishida with the enemy
Classic trope, okay, not everyone may like it.
