| 4/5 Been waiting for this fight to be adapted for a while now and it certainly did not disappoint Gremmy vs Kenpachi has always been my favorite bleach fight and I was dying to see it get animated. Not perfect but it managed to grasp the atmosphere & theme of this particular bout. The animation was fluid and eye-catching at times. Tanjiro's VA did his thing. Kenpachi's shikai was sick and to think that no BANKAI were used in this episode is crazy to think about ~~ |

| Let's go Zaraki Kenpachi is back in action and let's just say his return was sudden actually. I thought his entry would be a little more climatic. His opponent really reminded me of Cid Kagenou from Eminence of the Shadow for some reason. |
| this was the best episode of this arc, topped fake yhwh vs yamamoto, the manga killed me for 2 months reading the chapters whereas here it was a 20 minutes full action. Absolutely amazing 5/5 |

| Seeing Yachiru talk after a long time was a rarity in itself, but seeing her fight for a brief moment is all I could've asked for. Still, the adorable little devil she is! Here comes Gremmy with his Visionary ability, The power of imagination is limitless as many would say, the more creative the person is the more powerful the power. I believe Gremmy when he said he's the strongest, that is if he had better imagination. In his defense, this kid knows some concepts of human technologies like guns, missiles, and the concept of space, however, that alone is still elementary compared to what humans could come up with. A meteor? Why not a black hole? A gamma-ray burst? How about the motherfucking BIG BANG?! Alright if those are outside his realms of imagination, how about he just bring up some nuclear bombs from the human world? It's already been around for decades. 1 of them could rival Genryuusai's bankai, and the world got thousands of them. Grammy's loss is due to partly his limited imagination. Despite the limitless capabilities that his power possesses, his own ability to imagine is not limitless. However, let's be real here... Kenpachi Zaraki is just built different!!! Isn't it ironic how the first enemy Kenpachi fights against is someone who uses imagination when he just got out of training to shatter his own imagination that suppresses his power in battle? Gremmy just has to fight Kenpachi, does he? He picked the single most absurd entity within the vicinity to be his opponent. The fight is over the moment he acknowledges Kenpachi's monstrosity. The user of this Visionary schrift should be imaginative yet logical. Something which Gremmy is not. And for that, the price he has to pay is his demise. Kenpachi's Nozarashi is awesome, what's even cooler than that is his attitude, he seems calmer outside of battle now. Quincies are about to have a very very bad day. |

| Finally the battle between Gremmy and Kenpachi. Kenpachi still badass and a very competent fighter despite Gremmy's powerful ability. Despite Gremmy's onslaught, especially imagining outer space to attack with against Kenpachi, the man appeared rather unfazed and still kinda enjoyed the fight. I believe the most entertaining part on that battle was Kenpachi releasing his Shikai and destroying Gremmy's meteor. One little gripe I had was that the Kenpachi vs Gremmy battle was a bit anticlimactic at the end. We also had the opportunity to see Yachiru's Shikai, and a very unique one indeed for a typical Shikai. |

| Holy shit Kenpachi's shikai was beautiful, i don't think i could ask for a more amazing situation for his Shikai's first appearance then to cut a fucking meteor in half. The build up was insane as well, i was holding my breath the entire time thinking there was no way Kenpachi was actually just gonna cut a whole meteor by himself, then he said his Shikai release line and i fucking lost bro. The scene of him holding Nozarashi in all it's glory with the flaming remains of a meteor passing by was gorgeous. Ngl on paper Gremmy's power of imagination sounds incredibly strong, but i guess is limited to his energy since he had to make clones, and the power of imagination sounds like a double edge sword. You'd probably need incredibly strong mental otherwise the slightest bit of doubt can actually straight backfire against you. I remember hearing that, you can't be 100% certain about anything, you can be 99% sure but there'll always be 1% of doubt in that thought which i guess can apply here pretty well. In Gremmy's case although he kept thinking he could win, Kenpachi kept eating his attacks and living, so that doubt that maybe Kenpachi really was a monster and unkillable slowly grew larger which led to his loss. I guess another factor would be it sounded like Gremmy was inexperienced, he talked about how "no one could ever challenge him from the start" and "i've never thought about defeating anyone before" so it leads me to believe Gremmy hadn't been in a lot a fights, where else Kenpachi is a killing machine and has probably been fighting since he gained sentience. |
