| Not bad so far. Seems like it's going to be at the least, decent. But nothing OMG super amazing. This is Kyoto, so I know I'm going to end up enjoying it a lot probably. |
| The production quality was wonderful, and the story was interesting - but I just really don't like Mirai. I'd almost chalk that up to just disliking megane chars in general, but it's mostly just her behaivour as well. And the dojiko archetype doesn't really save her at all. Well, I just hope I'll manage to like her better in the later episodes. |

| 4/5 As for JC Staff with Golden Time, also the real possibilities of KyoAni, I know them well. The many criticisms you hear about are superfluous for me, calm and cool now we started with the anime series. Plot too bumpy in logic, there are too many things that do not make you leave prohibitions and enjoy the show. The same can be said of the narrative, which, being too fast and without fundamental explanations, leave a little unhappy! KyonAni this time to be appreciated for his excellent work on designs, colors, scenes and animations! * _ * Come on, I want to see the second to understand this better! ;) |

| Most likely got fooled by the description, but so far this looks and feels horribly horribly dull and generic.The "plot" is barely there. For self-proclaimed "Dark fantasy story" the atmosphere is HORRIBLY sugary and the characters are downright infuriating sometimes. Will most likely try to watch one or two episodes more, but the idiocy that is the first episode is firmly 1 out of 5. Certainly not what I expected. |

| It looks interesting so far. I like this main guy (Akihito I think), I love his hair. Animations is so freaking beautiful, especially the sunset. OP and ED were nice, nothing too nice though (although it might change since usually the more I watch OPs and EDs the more I like them). Just please, don't make Akihito and Mirai (I think that was her name?) a couple. No. I won't handle it after *cough*SAO*cough* |
| just watched the first episode~ amazing animation from KyoAni (my favorite animation company^^) which just shows a dark and serious tone to the anime, interesting characters, and good OST. Can't wait to see more from this series! :) |

| The premise looks more interesting that shows made by Kyoni lately BUT i was annoyed as fuck by the same narrative and character behavior. Always the semi-logical male guy saying "janakte" o all the girl around him that seem to be more crazy than him. Always the same male guy with his supposed character thinking monologues and the clumsy girl etc. They are stuck with this male character for some reason. the same guy in Hyouka, in Haruhi, in Clannad etc. Get over it Kyoani. | Great introduction, although there was a lot of things unexplained. I found that they jumped into the story a bit too quick (for me) and didn't explain things like whether the Spirit World Warrior people are human or not. (Or am I just really dumb and missing stuff?) Otherwise, it was really awesome! The music was great, fitting the scenes, and the art of course was amazing coming from Kyoto Animation! Looking forward to the rest of the series! :D |

| Damn nice start, I really enjoyed this first episode and was actually waiting a long time to finally watch this as I adored the short kyoto-animation trailer and directly wanted an anime, a couple months after watching it, it got actual green lit so well from that alone I already loved the series! And now we have the first episode with the whole concept and the lovely characters making it all the better! Let's see what the story has to offer us next! |

| I saw screenshots all over tumblr from this anime and happened to stumble on it when deciding on something new to watch. It's cute so far, despite the action. Not sure if I should expect a very deep plot, though, so I'll just watch it leisurely. |

| I was expecting this anime to have pretty art, maybe some good music yet fail to deliver on much else (characters, story, etc.). While I cannot comment on the story too much yet, I am amazed at how much I genuinely enjoyed this first episode. It's been a while since an anime has been such a truly pleasant surprise. I don't know if the quality will continue, but the characters seemed interesting, the humor was actually very enjoyable (something I rarely find in anime nowadays), and the art/animation was just gorgeous. Oh, and the OST was also quite nice. This may not end up being a perfect anime due to cliche premise/plot or something, but I hope to continue being pleasantly surprised and enjoy the heck out of it anyway. |
| Good start. I hope they have more world building. Why do the youmu exist? What is their purpose? If Akihito is immortal how old is he? Does Akihito age? I hope to get answers later. Other thatn that I like it so far. Tha animation is great and I like both the OP and ED. Mirai is really clumsy. lol |

| If I took a shot at every time I wanted to drop this show during this episode , I woud be dead by now. Time to move on to better anime, shouldn't be hard after setting the bar this low. |
| Beautiful art and animation. Of course, it's KyoAni. What do you expect? The OP and ED are really good and the characters are pretty interesting. Mirai using her blood as a weapon reminds me of Deadman Wonderland. Hopefully things will get even better in the next few episodes. |
