| Another great episode with only one remaining. I have to say that Sagiri, Yuzuriha, and Senta held their own pretty well against the Tensen but that's also thanks to the tree guy's tips. Yuzuriha is a good fighter and she finally showed it here. Sucks that Senta sacrificed himself in saving Yuzuriha but at least Shion came in the nick of time to help out the girls. I'm assuming that Nurugai is nearby too. Meanwhile we briefly saw Gabimaru and his group and it looks like Gabimaru passed out, presumably due to exhaustion. With only one episode remaining I wonder how they'll end it but hopefully a season 2 announcement is promptly made afterwards. |

| Some pretty big lore drops this ep, so all the Horai Religion that the island natives believed in was a lie by the original Hermit to maintain order, Elixiar of life doesn't exist and if a human drank Tan they become a tree, finally the island is really just to experiment on humans. So i guess we've figured out the island's true purpose and also that the Tensen aren't actually Gods, just incredibly strong monsters who know how to use Tao. Also interesting thing to note, seems like Tao also has some sort of Rock Paper Scissors mechanic to it where some people can control a variant of Tao that is more effective against another variant. Yuzuriha and the Tensen they fought apparently have similar Tao where they can dimish it so they can't be detected, and Sagiri can instantly manifest Tao. Fuck they got me, i actually thought the twist this ep was Sagiri, Yuzuriha and Senta killing the first Tensen since striking the Tanden seemed incredibly effective, but nah the twist was it was never that easy to begin with. Thought something was up when they had Senta getting all sentimental, sad that he had to go genuinely thought Sagiri and Yuzuriha's relationship was unique. But yeh, why stay NEXT to the abominable monster plant corpse that has shown to regenerate from fatal attacks. It's true that Houko gave them a theoretical weak point and in a life and death situation they had to all in at that gamble, but they've been fighting this Tensen for like 15minutes? and their conclusion for their risk assessment was that they've definitely seen all its tricks. I would understand if the time frame between them "killing" the Tensen and resting was like 3mins minimum to 10 minutes max since the adrenaline is probably running off and they are probably focusing on being glad they survived a fight against a "God", but if they really lingered around the corpse for anything longer then that time, i really wanna say they deserved what was coming. |

| Sagiri and co were in for quite the fight with this Tensen, learning more about the Tao too, along with the fact that the elixir might not be what it sounds like. Shion arriving just in time, hopefully to make sure that Senta's sacrifice to save Yuzuriha wasn't in vain. |

| Even though it's a harbinger of a very dangerous situation, Kishikai theme simply rocks. Especially when shortly before it we could see Sagiri learning about the truth about the Elixir of Life. I liked how Senta's feelings towards Sagiri, as well as his backstory, were portrayed in the anime. They were adapted faithfully to the manga, and apart from that they were enriched with everything good that animated format could offer. Shion's entrance looked grand. He arrived just in time to not allow anyone else getting stung by the enemy flowers. Poor Senta... One episode left. |
| I figured it wasn't looking good for Senta for a while now but I had started to hope he would make it out ok. but I guess this island just isn't the place for him after all |

| Very cool episode. There is a cool fight, a story from Senta's past, a sharp plot twist! I liked it very much! The moment when Senta gets hurt and Yuzuriha kicks the skulls is really cool! In the manga, it was breathtaking, but here it just knocks you off your feet. |
| Yuzuriha is a more impressive fighter than I expected her to be. I enjoyed learning more about Senta and his past. Too bad it ended up being a death flag. RIP I loved Shion's arrival at the end. |

| So there was no Elixer. There's Tan that can enhance the life of certain individuals. And the mastery of Tao of course. Both of these are deemed as 'elixer of life' outside the island. Senta had a crush on Yuzuriha. Sad to see him die. He was a good character. Ain't no way they could have defeated Mu Dan so easily. He seemed like a big bad. He also did that plant-like transformation or smth. Shion came in clutch. I don't think he has mastered Tao tho. |

| Another good episode with good action. I was almost disapointed with how easy Mu Dan went down i totally forgot they had a second phase. Yuzuhira has some cool techniques. |
