I don't  think I've cried this much watching any media ever. This was the best episode of this masterpiece of a show. Perfect adaptation of the best chapter, followed by an incredible adaptation to the next chapters which only makes them better.

RIP Floch, RIP Hange, RIP the billions of people caught up in the rumbling.

Phenomenal episode.
I was emotionally touched. Everything about it was amazing. The character development, the OST (my god it's so good), and the cinematography of the ODM gear maneuvering.
What a great start to the finale. Mappa really out did themselves.

I was really impressed with how they handled Hange's noble sacrifice. They made it even more epic than the manga. Damn. Shit almost made me tear up.
And my god. Near the climax of the episode, shit hits the fan, as Armin, Mikasa, Jean, Connie, Reiner, Levi, and Pieck hop off the plane to fight Eren's giant ass skeleton centipede looking ass. It gave me goosebumps. The beast titan was literally throwing rocks at them mid-air as the gang was landing.

Nothing short of a masterpiece. Masterpiece. Masterpiece!

I'm sure there are some great animes out there with a great storyline, however MAPPA did one hell of a job in everything: soundtrack, animation, direction, marketing.. all of this elevated and delivered the story exactly the way it was intended to be. People who read the manga know exactly how it feels and they relived it all over again. It raised the bar so high for any other anime to catch up with it. I stand by those words. Bravo MAPPA!

AOT has been fully on the Sad Train ever since Sasha died. Now that Hange's gone too -- basically the only other character who was funny on purpose -- we're hitting light speed sad.

Amazing ep! Totally worth the wait!
The first 10 mins were one of the best moments in anime, the suffering, pain, tragedy was so well shown, along with epic ost.
Overall episode one, which was around 30mins, was almost phenomenal.

My only complain (the thing I thought could have been done better) is the timing or the abrupt start of ost for few scenes and the few osts didn't feel they totally suited the scenes like the ending scene.
This might be due to the one hr time limit ig.

Looking forward to the next part.

after the second half of s4p2, I wasn't that excited.

but holy shit this was actually extremely good.

and 2 new insert songs FUCK YES!!!!

8.75/10 for me, tied for second best entry in the series.

with s3 p2 being n1, and s2 being what it's tied with.

Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 3 Part 1 is finally FINALLY here! For those who don't know this is a 1 hour special.

The official Twitter account announced that the second half of Attack on Titan: Final Season Part 3 WILL DEBUT IN FALL 2023 (AOT S4 Part 3 Phase 2) (somewhere between OCT-DEC). So at least 7 more months till more Pieck fiction.

The Teaser on YouTube really says Part 4 tho idk what to call it anymore other than Attack on titan final season part 3 second half Ver1.1a plus ultra final final version 4.0

That Rumbling Scene was downright EPIC. The rest of the episode also contain the best MAPPA’s animated sequence so far for AOT, both in term of their perfection in CGI blending and 2D animation. It is safe to say that the rumbling could not been done better by any other studio, given the time and scale of it. Can't wait for a Final Season Part 99!

Thank you MAPPA, Hayashi sensei and team for the spectacular experience. The ep was peak, AOT at its peak.
Yes, yes!!! Levi's shinzou wo sasageyo to Hange made me tears out, the way Hange reunited with the commander Erwin and other fallen comrades was truly the supplement of Erwin's last speech, "... There memories serve as ab example to all of us. The courageous fallen, the mighty fallen... "
Some other scenes like rumbling are well potrayed. The ost choices were top notch. Over all a fantastic ep which made me to appreciate the manga even more. Looking forward to the final ep of this modern classic which whenever come will definitely make me to appreciate the manga and these characters even more.

In this Shingeki no Kyojin episode we got a rare occurrence of Muslim portrayed in anime as the good guys.

A few episodes ago in Isekai Hourou Meshi, a fat bourgeois was attacked by bandits, who were clearly Muslim themed, the guards were all big burly European-theme with a handsome face.

There's an anime about the real https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahmud_Pasha_Angelovi%C4%87 but it was so meeeh I can't even remember the name and since it's a war anime they were essentially portrayed as a Lawful Evil country with a Lawful Good MC who turned Lawful Neutral later.
Stop the sequels high-ranking stupidity.

Damn dude this was really, really good haha.

- The gruesomeness and tragedy of the rumbling is real man. I'm not sure how you can justify this global massacre :(
- LOVE the Annie x Armin romance XD so random lol.
- RIP Hange man. What an amazing exit that hit me in the feels. Love her to bits.
- It's still great to see all these former enemies working together. They've truly come to understand eachother and acknowledge their sins.

The final battle is here LFGGGG.

However, according to Crunchyroll the next 1hr special will be coming later this year D: so we have a while to wait!

"Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS Special 2 will also stream on Crunchyroll when it arrives later this year."

Shingeki no Kyojin, as an anime of drama, action, and war, is simply horrifying, but as a comedy, it ends up becoming one of the best ever made. Annie and Armin are a great couple, Isayama knows how to write and build relationships like no one else.
Einstein was right, time is relative. It feels like 7 days passed while I was watching this episode.
Can someone answer something? Why did Hange take so long to burn?
If you're a fanboy, please don't waste my time.

Perhaps, this is hell.

I don't know what to say really.. I was expecting a lot more than this. I am not sure where Isayama was trying to go with this. Barely any dialogue, most of the things said have been said already in slightly different ways, or maybe there's nothing special about what has been said really. The only two scenes that made this episode somewhat redeemable are the following:
1) When Annie refused to go with. "I don't want to save the same humanity that once persecuted me." I liked seeing a new layer of moral dilemma or maybe just a different perspective on the conflict. I think this is yet another reminder that there's no correct or ONE answer, there's context and perspectives. Everyone's opinions are strongly affected by their experiences. Maybe to be unbiased, one should step out of the conflict and consider all circumstances and not just what seems convenient to them or their narrative.
2) The scene were the commander admits to the human rights violations Marley subjected Eldians to and their role in feeding this cycle of hatred. At the end of the day, the rumbling is their own hatred coming back to bite them.

The "sinners" scene while decent could've used a bit more dialogue, but I still like that the "truth" was laid out there, that each one of them confessed their sins.

What I'm having trouble with is the first few scenes. Is Isayama trying to tell us that there was no other way? That the future in Attack on Titan is deterministic? Nothing would have changed the outcome? That the Rumbling needed to happen? Like it's some type of necessary evil? If I'm overanalyzing this, please let me know. I would love to hear some thoughts on this part.

Overall, I have mixed feelings about this and how it might end, but I guess I need to sit with it for a bit. The gap between these parts is not working in the favor of the show really, quite the opposite.

By the way, was the highly acclaimed chapter 31 adapted?

I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. Like, the episode was actually great but I got some weird vibes from it. Maybe the hour length threw me off? It's a 10/10 either way
Now this is some character development. Although, it's sad to see that some of us diehard fans are not enjoying this as much as we wished we would. Now that I think about it, it would've been better if they waited until FALL 2021 to air the whole thing instead of these 2 long episodes. A final movie would've been best.

Absolutely perfect. Previous seasons of Attack on Titan have been completely overhyped. I, unlike many, didn't find that Attack on Titan lived up to most of the hype. But this 1 hour episode was perfect and I could see this being the highest rated anime on MyAnimeList.

That was insane, this episode was leagues ahead of the other parts made by Mappa. The decision to make this into a short movie worked perfectly, I'm so glad Crunchyroll didn't release it into 3 parts like leaks said. The direction, OST, and animation were so perfect and really consistent. I'm really looking forward to part 2 now

most people already talked about all the really good parts so I'm gonna focus on something else. I remember some time during the episode for just a few seconds we saw a dog in an abandoned city eating a piece of meat. even though this is a small insignificant scene it really made me release that the rumbling is affecting all life and not just humans. soon that dog would die and the rumbling would leave just a barren landscape where no life can ever live again.

I GOT CHILLS.

this checked all the boxes. the music, the dialogue, the animation; both 2D and CG looked absolutely amazing. everyone looked great too.

that entire hange sequence brought tears to my eyes. it was literally perfect. THAT'S WHY SHE'S THE GOAT.

this episode itself is a 10/10 but i'll give it a 9 for now, if mappa delivers again with the episode just like they did with this then i'll give a 10.

will be back for the final episode in a months, TATAKAE.

as far as anime adaptations go, it was good. Everything that hit, hit, everything that missed, missed. The beginning and end went so fucking hard, that you can almost excuse the  subpar adaptation of the middle 35ish minutes. Hange's death, for whatever reason, did not include where she says Titans are incredible right  before she dies, which is honestly the best you can get out of such a contrived death. And, also, they numbered the chapter so incorrectly it's a joke. Hopefully MAPPA will back away from the dogshit ending that already exists and give us something good whenever the next episode airs. This one really lacked the animation spectacular I was expecting. being on par with part 2 even though there was a year to adapt like 3 chapters. Anyways, hope the next one is infinitely better, has good music for a change, and has Yuki Kaji go hard. Obscenely good animation (no CGI titans) would be nice, but I'll be satisfied if there's an even decent ending to the story

I feel this plot reached its peak in Final Season Part 2. The dynamics of right and wrong were a lot more complex, it was a lot harder to judge, but now that it's come down to Eren being the one hated thing in the whole world, it's become a lot simpler. While I don't feel the same intensity anymore, it's still a really great plotline. Good job.

There's so much here to talk about, where do I even begin. They really seem to be setting up the idea that eren really has to be killed. Between showing the Rumbling in such detail(showing those kids getting crushed in the beginning) to the conversation in that spirit world-like place. Also RIP to Hange.
