For some reason, it feels like they censored Beta and Epsilon's arguments earlier... with that *come here kitty, let's play~* (IDK about the LN but it feels like that but their VA's make up for the lack of scenes) I don't think the point of the cat or the worker in the department store blocking the frame was censorship, but rather comedic/unique directorial decisions. It was that as well, of course. (｡ŏ﹏ŏ) It was an adorable scene with the cat. |
| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| I love lingerie as much as the next woman. Yes, we do buy it to feel sexy and confident for ourselves, but also to attract a man's gaze. But for women, all that boob stuff was a bit too much unnecessary fanservice to the point that it actually got offensive. This is now off the list of anime that the kid will watch (kid was offended). Oh well. |

| Poor Epsilon xd doesn't fool Cid at all... I didn't know that Alpha had a higher rank in the shadows, even Gamma refers to her with Sama... I thought that among the main ones they were all equal in rank. |

| yeah i'm going to agree with some others here that it felt really out of place, and i really didn't like it. there was some story to it but most of it was a wash because of silly ecchi nonsense. |

| Just finished stand alone complex, so now watching anime like this, especially with episodes like THIS, make me feel like I'm losing braincells. Actually gonna drop the show here; it was fun while it lasted. But maybe I'll go through a withdrawal phase and end up coming back to this next week- who knows. I do hope that the rest of you do indeed continue on enjoying THE EMINENCE IN SHADOW |

| Lame fanservice episode. Nah, this show isn't clicking with me. I gave it more and more chances but it's still peak AVERAGE at best. Maybe even worse than that. 10 more episodes to go? I'd say I'm close to dropping the show entirely. Seems incredibly boring to me... Too bad, it had potential. |

| The new plot is pretty incomprehensible, but Cid remains funny enough to justify continuing on with the show. Epsilon's jiggle physics and the story rip-offs were also pretty funny, even the meta joke about one of the books being named after the show itself. |

I'm not bashing you or anything but looks like a lot of people here got confused by this episode? It's the usual transition/lull/transition episode while also showing off shadow garden members. The slime boob joke parts is for introducing and setting up how expert Epsilon at controlling magic. She's potentially even better at it than Cid. Also why boob, well Epsilon = ε In the novel Alexia and Iris part supposed to happen around time when Cid and his friends went to buy chocolate, but anime decided to move it here so they can have all fanservice in one episode. The rest is setting up next story and explanation about the legend of three heroes and sealed arm of demon Diabolos. Natsume's version of Eminence of Shadow actually replace all the heroines position in each story (Claire,Alexia, Sherry) with her instead |

| Overboard with the fanservice yes. Though I was getting more annoyed that Cid would have all that female attention and just be annoyed by it. I find this particular trope to be very annoying in anime, especially harem, to have multiple girls in love with you and the MC has no idea. Or in this case knows and doesn't care. I just don't buy it and I just start feeling sorry for all these girls wasting their time in a plot device that is not funny in the slightest. |

| Decent episode. It was nice getting to see more of the girls in Shadow Garden and it was one hell of a bouncy episode. It was funny how Beta wrote about the stories that Cid told her about and just changed the titles, making it seem like those low-budget games that use real-life names while changing little details. Will be interesting to see what happens next in the Sacred Land story-wise. |
