| Jeanne.. while I already had a bit of respect for her because she was trying to "save" the people she was involved with, it didn't take long for her to talk nonsense about lesbians and Marie. It was funny tbh because if Marie was really a lesbian then why would she have Fersen as her affair partner? If she took a woman then it would be much more beneficial for her because it makes it difficult for people to gossip about her affair. I really laughed because it was so funny and how people there easily believed it. It completely made me go "?!!" right when she brought Oscar into that crazy nonsense statement, but luckily there was Andre who quickly keeping Oscar from making a scene :"D Btw... "Tell me... what have I done to deserve all this?" that's... you've done nothing, Marie... you've done nothing for the good of your own country... that's why you're getting all this... |

Brilliant episode. Jeanne is actually one of the most compelling villains in this anime, and this is from me, someone that was skeptical of her. Her compassion for Nicole was her undoing. Though even when she's backed into a corner, she still fought hard and went out with a bang.   That ferocity that Jeanne has. It gives the energy of the two above. Marie Antoinette made it worse for herself. For one, the cardinal got off scot-free. Plus, she has ruined her reputation even further. |
| Damn, what an insane episode. I wasn’t expecting the trial to end happily (although now the general populace is against the royal family, but at least the right people were punished.) Jeanne was/is such a good character, she was very proactive and I loved seeing her have enough humanity to not kill the blind prostitute (at least at the time, looked like she wanted to at the trial lmao) My only criticism was that during the trial it was brought up that the Queen is a lesbian because she keeps Polignac and Oscar by her side, but we haven’t SEEN that since Polignac’s daughter killed herself. Hopefully she has more appearances from here on out. If that gets cleared up, my only gripe so far is the show forgetting that Oscar was blamed for the fake miscarriage. |
| This series has gotten back on track in a big way since Dezaki became director, was worried after not liking episodes 15 through 18 very much at all. Fantastic episode. |
