| Great chapter, held my attention throughout. Seems like Jodio just goes along with the flow, that will probably change as the story progresses. I like how his stand looks like some kind of giant insect alien, that's got to be the weirdest looking mc-stand so far. As for the story, it seems like it will be rather distinct in style compared to the previous parts. Dragona is an interesting character... Are they trans, or something else? |

| Oh yes this is looking promising; great first chapter! I'm quite curious whether Jousuke will make an appearance. Maybe it's implied that he or some other Higashikata could be this Japanese person, or is his story over? Regardless, exciting stuff. |

Things that made this an already incredible chapter
I can't believe his sister is named Dragona, also it seems like she is trans with dressing up like a girl and getting breast implants but her brother keeps reffering to her as bro which is a little strange. I can't tell if that's just the translators or if there is more too it, but I guess we'll see when the time comes. The main JoJo has a ton of internal dialogue so far, I feel like I don't ever remember a JoJo speaking this much internally before, definitely not in the parts I've read. It's definitely strange for JoJo but I'm willing to see where it goes, that is if it's not just dropped eventually. The main JoJo really is a drug dealer, I did not expect that after Part 8 with insane dementia patient Gappy. Also he seems morally ambiguous, a classic JoJo staple part 7 and onwards. He really melted that police office, not to say he didn't deserve it of course but that guy looked fucked up. By the way I love the talk about him going to become rich, again it is a lot of internal monologue we never really see but it is incredible, I can't wait to see where he goes, This shit is really reminding me of Goodfellas too, with the criminal underworld and all the monologue. My guy is also talking about the classist warfare between those in the game and those not with that one kid being bullied and keeping his mother safe and all. Domestic Violence victim in JoJo, reference to Spam Onigiri in almost the same breath. Either way, this first chapter is immaculate, I am so unbelievably excited, everything already seems so amazing and interesting and new and different to anything before in JoJo, I gotta try to read the next chapter earlier if I can. |

| Really solid first chapter. Not as good as the start of SBR and JJL, but still a very good one. I like the new characters. Their Stands seem to be interesting as well. |
| Araki putting in a man with injected breasts is something I could only expect of him, it enforces that gender is a binary. I'm glad he goes along with the times as this only increases his creative mind. The first chapter sets off something incredibly interesting, I wonder who this mysterious person might be. I have the feeling it may be Joshu, only he could be involved into a clusterfuck of a situation that could get the main cast in trouble hahaha. |

| Here comes the new JoJo: Jodio Joestar, alias John Jojolands. I love the fact that this part works as a re-imagination of the Part 5: Vento Aureo. I hope the japanese guy from the island is Joshu or Josuke Higashikata, I would love that. Great first chapter, and hello people from 10 years from now when this part finishes. |

| Araki goes even farther than ever before in his feminine male character designs with Dragona LOL JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Breaking Bad Edition? So far I'm intrigued, it's cool to have an arc centered around criminals (technically so did Part 5 but that aspect wasn't really focused on) I'm sad Jodio's stand is called November Rain because I hate Guns n Roses but I'll get over it lol Overall a solid start! |

I love the implication that (seemingly) one of the highashikatas from part 8 is going to show up and be the target of the heist. AHHHH. If it's Josuke I'm going to freak the fuck out. If it is josuke, I'll be disappointed if he's alone... I need to see him and yashou as a couple god damnnit. I would say Jobin would be cool to see but he's dead. WAIT WHAT IF ITS CHADIFIED JOSHU LOLOLOL. I am so fucking hyped man. dragona's pronouns aren't he/him there are no pronouns or gendered words used for them the entire chapter other than jonadio calling them 兄さん, unlike jonadio who is called 少年｀ and 彼 straightaway which is clearly a conscious decision. otherwise dragona speaks completely femininely. you can use any pronouns you like for dragona but telling people stuff like this at this point is just false |

| Okay I like this! The setting and actuality is cool and the new characters are really promising. I guessed for a long time now that we'll see Joestar siblings in part 9 and it seems my prediction was right. Altough so far it seems only Jodio is the main protagonist. I loved his interactions with Dragona. They were jamming to Dua Lipa :DD So Dragona is transexual? It looks like. I am happy for him. The drug dealing theme gave me some Vento Aureo flashbacks. Who's gonna be the Japanese guy they want to rob? I really look forward to the next chapters. |

| Jodio definitely has the whole giorno scheme going on, but he's actually going to high school and selling drugs to children (His classmates) Dragona is cool too, the rearranging stand reminds me of diver-down. Sucks they got literally assaulted by a pervy cop in the first chapter but I can't think of a cop in jojo who wasn't an obstacle/enemy food. Paco's stand stealing stuff with ease reminds me of Harvest, but that might be a stretch. Good first chapter, excited to see how badly this theft mission goes! |

| Great start, cool to be here for the beginning of the new series. Smooth Operators reminds me of Sex Pistols and Jodio reminds me of Giorno as the "not so good" JoJo main character. Really fun and I like the summer style. Kinda surreal/strange to read about covid in JoJo though haha. |

| i'm REALLY liking this one already, i was expecting the main guys name to be Joey or Jody but Jodio is fine enough. i was also expecting the style to be fairly identical to part 8, i'm not sure how to explain it but there's something about it that's subtle but still very different. and it's neat to see another crossdressing character. paco is out here with some absolute child bearing hips though  |
