INTRODUCTION

「After looking through some of the offerings of this casino, you find one that is not spooky and sounds like it belongs in a casino.」

『So many of these "games" have been nothing but luck, and I know poker takes skill, right?』

「Welcome! I sure hope you like 5-Card Draw, Texas Hold 'em, or 7-Card Stud, since those are the rules for today!」

「You hadn't noticed the dealer standing behind one of the tables, and watched as they picked up two decks and started shuffling them. "Do I get to choose which one?"」

「Oh! You misunderstand! All of them, at once! Let me explain!」


EXPLANATION
This game has challengers play poker in groups of four, with everybody competing for the strongest hand that they can make. Almost Every genre has been assigned to a card, and you will need to watch a series for each card that you would like to use that has the same genre. The game will have two phases, the dealing/watching phases and the showdown/turn-in phase, with sign-ups available until the end of the first phase.


  • Difficulties:
    　— Partial Hand: 3 series | 0.50 points
    　— Full Hand: 5 series | 1 point
    　　♦ Top 3 players with the best hands created out of all the games hosted, will be awarded with 0.25 bonus points.
    　　♦ Winner of each game hosted will receive 20 Essentia 🔮.

  • Any type is allowed, but must be equal to or longer than 15 minutes (total).

  • Your challenge "Starting Date" the start of the casino event (Nov 1).
    　— Series previously started, but not finished, may be used.
    　— Remember that it's required to add the start and end dates to any anime you use for our challenges.

  • You cannot use the same entry more than once.
    　— Applies across the different cards and other parts.
    　— The series used for The Challenge, Poker and Tarot can't overlap.


  • Poker Rules:
    　— The game will be played with 2 decks and 4 jokers.
    　— There will be 10 community cards dealt for any players in the same group to use, and then each player will be dealt 2 face-up cards that will be posted in the "Active Games" post, and DMed an additional 3 cards that are considered face-down.
    　— You will be able to discard up to 3 cards from your hand for new ones by posting using the "Card Discard Form", and they will be re-dealt in the same orientation (face-down stays face-down).
    　— You do not need to declare which cards you will be using until the showdown phase (Jan 1).
    　— Once you have decided on the hand that you would like to make, you can watch a series with a genre for each card you will be using (up to 5), listed under the "Card Genres" spoiler.
    　— You must be finished with your shows before the showdown phase starts to be able to use them for your turn-in.





  • Showdown:
    　Once this phase starts you just need to turn-in which cards you wanted to use and which series you used for each card. Everybody who completed at least 3 series for a hand will be awarded points, and the top 3 players with the strongest hand will receive bonus points. First place in each group will also receive Essentia. If you made a mistake, you will be allowed to watch one extra show, or you may change what cards you are using to make a weaker hand.

  • What do you watch for a Joker?
    Whatever card you are using it as. It can by any that work if it's used to finish a 5-of-a-kind.

  • What happens if I have two of the same card?
    You can use it for any pairs, full houses, or 3/4-of-a-kind. They do NOT work to make a 5-of-a-kind.

  • There's a lot of cards here, how do I choose them?
    You can take 5 from both your hand and the table to make any set you want. The hand rankings table shows the order of the strongest hands at the top left to the weakest at the bottom right. On the other hand, lower ranked cards are assigned larger genres if you want an easier time finding something or overlapping with non-casino challenges.
