This episode started adorable and ended on a tense fight, i'm worried about Fran pushing it too far. Very enjoyable episode.

First of all this is super generic Isekai - let's get this out of the way first. So curb your expectations and everything I say about episode is in this context.

A lot of good things happened and 1 bad. Buying undergarments was that bad part - but thankfully it wasn't horrible and was short. Felt more like a joke.

Rest was good with some hiccups, but they are fault of mostly the entire series, not this particular episode.

The battle at the end was decently done and even though you think they will win (I don't expect twists of that caliber from such generic Anime), at the end they are struggling. Despite being overpowered, they aren't as overpowered to now go and charge and kill final boss. I'm glad at least for that. We will see how this battle resolves in next episode.

I agree. about the undergarments... it was a equaly cringe in the LN, and frankly they should have converted it to buying cloths instead and called it a day, it would have been an improvement while sticking close to the story. That said ... that's about as bad as it gets, anything like that in this show is a jab at the author or the sword, and I very much double there will be huge focus on fan service just very light fan service.

As far as twists? I mean .... of course the MCs aren't going to die in right off. In that respect its pretty realistic, some anime's try to be cerebral here and just come off as cringe.... this is a no nonsense father daughter Isekai slice of life battle junky anime.... and frankly it can go pretty far with that.

Though i agree that it is generic in most aspects, i think the execution of the show is done very much above average for an isekai. Just look at how it feels when Fran swings the sword around. It's not just a wooden twig, it has weight, takes time to swing and has a long backswing. It's little things, like not having the same isekai circular town with a wooden fence and a river down the middle. Clearly the director of the show knows what he's doing, and he's got the resume to back it up.

The old blacksmith mentioned there are 5 of them and he saw just one in his life, the Ignis. Another one is called Seniorious, the other three I forgot their names but one of them has ability to protect the wielder's mental health through any ordeal but is in urgent need of repair.

OMG Fran looks adorable in those clothes and that armor !! Teacher got shy when he asked for normal clothes and underwear!! They are both cute!!

Fran's level of determination is so admirable, she doesn't want to loose or feel weak again!!

As a manga reader, I am nothing but excited seeing how this adaptation has been handled from the animation to the music its gone above my expectations and i cant wait for more! I hope more people start picking it up and seeing this not just another bland whatever run of the mill isekai, but one that sets its self apart with with an interesting take on the genre! so yeah watch it, Im your teacher, and your my Fran so listen up

I honestly wasn't going into this show with the highest expectations, but it's actually pretty enjoyable!

In this episode, we get introduced to a number of supporting characters. One of them is Gallus. I like Gallus, they're cool.

Anyway, this episode featured a cute shopping day, as well as some cool action scenes near the end.

Overall, it's pretty good!

This is turning into a really good isekai/fantasy anime, and I like the relationship between Fran and teacher Shishou. Also, the blacksmith has become a big help with crafting armor. Hopefully Fran has not bitten off more than she can chew with sticking around with the growing number of goblins.

You can translate in this way, especial that in English word master don't have same meaning, you name people which great at something master, but you never name same person as his underling as master but teacher. So teacher do not give respect of "master" but he don't rule over her, so even when he is skill master he is her teacher.

3rd episode of The Eminence in Shadow was IMHO good, ending weird but other all better than first 2 (but I love Bakemonogatari ;) )
But agree, this anime first 3 episodes was good 2nd and 3rd already watch few times, 2nd is so good at same problem which other anime fail, show some jerks but not putting too much time, so it don't become drama.

Why I feeling that you think Demon Slayer is good anime, with power up from nothing... yeah character win battle in first go if he is prepared, not some BS with stamina is limit and next author forgot about it, and fight take 5x times as it take to drain stamina in first time.
Sorry, at this moment is good anime, we don't know what power this sword have, be we already now that is not best, it is strong but no OP. And shopping which is normal thing you do for some reason is bad? Better have unlimited bullets in 6 shot revolver?

Going pretty well. It could have better animation but it's miles ahead of most isekai shows so I can't really complain too much.

We will see how the next episode goes, hopefully they give the same level of impact to this goblin battle as it had in the novel.

I love how they don't shy away from gore, the goblins just exploding into guts is definitely different.

Considering Fran was a slave, translators probably felt it would be risky to use the word Master so they went with Teacher for political correctness.

Great anime, and it will only get better. I loved this episode with the introduction of Garrus and especially loved Fran going through the various shops.

I am happy that Fran and Master are not powerful to the point that they quickly annihilate every enemy in sight. I enjoy seeing the protagonists succeed through training, hard work, and party members. That being said, Master is OP in his own right.

Lastly, CUTE FRAN IS TOO CUTE

Fran reminds me a lot of Renge from Non Non Biyori. Though NGL the show is kinda lame, just pretty generic isekai. I guess this will be the chill show of the season for me.

The so called shock factor of it was responsible for all the initial buzz back then. But who knows, if you're a fan of modern fantasy anime, you might end up enjoying it regardless.
