Loving this, loving this. Trigger just put so much love into this.

Yep, pretty sure it was more than just a kiss.

Arguably the most fun episode yet. David learns the ropes, befriends the gang, trains to get a stronger body to handle more chrome, and it looks like he finally gets with Lucy. Happy to see him with Lucy, but there wasn't much build up to it. She's been so cold and distant with him, seeing her all of a sudden kiss him feels a little rushed.

Super cool to see The Afterlife animated, not to mention Rogue herself as a cameo. Really hoping with how popular the anime has become, CDPR will add a lot of Edgerunner references in future updates of the game.

Overall, really great and fun episode.

Holy fuck, one of the worst eps of anime I've ever seen. Music mismatched 90% of time, reusing same stills 20 times, direction feels all over the place. Trigger saved anime, my ass.

I was begging for David to stop with the promises cuz Lucy seemed annoyed asf sighing and scratching her head, thought she'd eventually snap at David, then she really went at it. Guess she was flustered or embarrased? I doubt I'll ever be able to understand females

After really enjoying the first 3 episodes this one felt like it took a dive off a cliff. This episode felt like a disorganized cluster f*ck. I get that this was supposed to be a training arc, but the jumps were a bit jarring and seemed to lack direction at time. The best part of the episode for me was when Pilar was ended, I really did not find that character interesting or likable in the least. There has been some really bad cringy writing up until this episode and the cringe moments hit a high here. I will give it another episode, but this could be a drop. Not sure where all the hype is coming from?

Either the subs were particularly awful or the people in this world have basically shown the middle finger to grammar.

An entire training arc passed by in like half an episode which is completely fine since it's kinda pointless to drag it out, considering increasing your power levels is basically just becoming more machine than man, as Obi-Wan would put it. The romance aspect, assuming Lucy's love is legit, is very rushed though.

Ion think a more drawn out love would have worked for the show and the story it’s based off is about the cruel crushing grip of capitalism, to make a slow burning love and fit in the Herculean weight of the elites it would have been very messy and I think the show is way more entertaining as a fast paced action show, fast like living in a big city

Bro I might be wrong, but it looks like EVERY shot is a location you can actually go to in the game- apart from the moon (which was a brain-dance, but otherwise you still can't go to the moon). We even get to briefly see Lizzie's Bar for a moment in that montage

No you right almost every spot is somewhere in NC even the apt complex David stays in is the one the protagonist stays in the game

They could have made it worked if the writers were talented enough. Romance, or just any relationship, is not much enjoyable when it is rushed. That's what I'm saying.

Idk, I thought the romance was okay and I liked the transitions during the training. I just like the overall style of the show, Cyberpunk really has that going for it.

David found himself in a welcoming family, the montages of him interacting with the various characters in this crew were done excellently. Seeing the whole crew walk alongside one another with David quietly smiling was a rather heartwarming sight to behold. Unfortunately, Night City is a place that rejects everlasting happiness. Pilar got absolutely popped by a hobo-cyberpsyco fucking hell. THat's just how easy things can get worse.

David's brave yet impulsive action to risk his life and go headfirst to save Lucy was admirable but it's exactly what Lucy said. He's the kind of guy who'd do that and I guess that's when Lucy found out that she really didn't want him to die. The last kissing scene was rather sudden but man the atmosphere, the OST and the intimacy they had allowed for a prime moment for the kiss.

Holy smokes. For quite a while I thought I was watching a Flintstones episode with how much footage and static shots were reused so blatantly. It's ridiculous how many fanboys praise this show for it's "animation". Wich leads me to believe a large portion of these peeps have no idea what animation stands for.

Am I supposed to feel bad because long arms guy was blasted out of pure randomness by some psycho pissing on top of a barrel? I guess not, since the main writer and director didn't even bother to make David's mom death any more sympathetic for him nor the audience.

July & David's relationship feels like the most vapid and cliched hollywood love story within a drug or alcohol abuse screenwrite. With so many other actual romance shows in this past season, yet another overrated asset by the loud fanbase gets a free pass.

Can't say I'm optimistic for the rest of the episodes if by almost halfway point it's just pure randomness and vapid ideas.

The way
's death has literally no emotional impact and is just an excuse for yet another chaotic, flashy action scene really shows that this series doesn't care about its own characters. Too bad, since episodes 2 and 3 were actually decent.
