I am not a pervert. But I do think people are too sensitive about cartoons. I do not understand why animated panties are harmful. I do not understand this sudden "purity culture" trend everyone under 25 is into. If something is SLIGHTLY objectionable, people lose their shit. Sex is an evil dirty thing now. But violence is fine? And this is the only anime so far that I have never finished watching. I even ended Seikon no Qwaser and Kiss x Sis somehow. It's not about who adds fan service or sexualization to his work, but what the reason is. Fan service is nothing that is even remotely necessary, and neither is sex scenes in films. These have no reason to exist except to sense someone's sexual preferences. Say they are a death sentence for an anime. No Game No Life had no story at least until Ep 9 and only poorly implemented games. The characters were also not lovable, personable and not well written. Especially not Sora, that pseudo-intellectual otaku. And instead of trying harder, you simply give them fan service because the fans will swallow it anyway. I watch anime for the humor, plot, characters, and detail. And not to look at Jibril's saliva, the constantly naked body of this "princess" or what she was. And certainly not Shiro's underwear or her naked body. This and 3 different boring game duels was waiting for me in the anime. The concept of the anime is not bad, in more capable hands this would have been an interesting anime. My main criticism is and remains that fan service has no positive influence on a work, unless it is an ecchi. You then look at this out of your own fault. And that the works spring from the mind and the fantasy of the author. For example, why does "Made in Abyss" have so much sexualization in children? Whether there are pictures of naked women / men or statues in history has nothing to do with it. Art has always been bizarre and has no standards. |

For people who like it it is certainly a blessing. That's why the very existence of fan service has become such a major criticism. Even with Fairy Tail, they almost shit the anime on the wall because it has developed from a shounen to a soft porno. "Subjective opinion. :/" - Right, there are people who actually see story in it. I mean, this story that I undoubtedly missed and that was hiding in the bathroom or in Shiro's underwear. Happened to me now and then. If anything developed in the film, so be it. It has no negative influence either....besides, it can be funny. Maybe I'm just used to a higher level of comedy thanks to Saiki K and Gintama. Taste when it comes to humor is certainly entertaining. Made in Abyss is an interesting title, but the anime's portrayal is just wrong. The mangaka wanted to build something dark and brutal. What has emerged is half fetish porn. He could at least have taken a closer look at horror films, which managed to combine brutality, atmosphere and cruelty without the characters having to be naked or having tubes in their anus. But strangely enough, that doesn't bother me. I am more bothered by the thought that I am looking at it and not finding it wrong. Btw, if you want to answer. maybe keep it on our Profile Comments?
