I wanted Norman to do demon annihilation but it is what it is. I know Emma did talk no jutsu however I found her words to be more compelling in the anime compared to the manga.

Grandpa Vylk was an okay guy. It was helpful that he kept the pen cap, though I found it amusing (in a morbid way) that he ate that human anyway.

Vincent is a traitor?! Uh oh

As always, everything is too easy for the children. They talk and everybody is kind and nice.
The old demon give them a piece of the pen and they know everything about the ennemy + they can make a cure for Normal and his group. Was the writer lazy or something ?

I've been quite generous with my scores up until this point, but this was the first episode I've actually disliked.

If this run is indeed penned to be the final 11 episodes of the series, then it's no surprise that there's plot convenience after plot convenience after plot contrivance to try and get the cast of characters to the final boss as soon as possible.

Supposedly important plot points are being created and solved within the space of an episode or two, and there's no satisfying payoff to them because there's no fucking tension and build-up created through hours and hours of getting to know these characters beforehand.

After a decent last episode, it's turned into an absolute dumpster fire.

What sort of fool are you taking me for? what the fuck is this shit? Barbara... OF ALL PEOPLE, DOUBTING!!!? I'd understand Norman... but Barbara? you gotta be kidding me. This show is insulting my intelligence.

And now, conveniently, everyone finds out about a cure for lambda's side effects... LMFAO

Shirai, retire now and never ever try to create another story.

I'm amazed that there are people that still likes this shit.

Nah man SnK manga did not have talk no jutsu and even if you were to argue that it did it was not nearly as bad as this episode's

oh yeah I love aot manga (alliance arc is my least favourite arc tho, may change with the final chapter) and by no means am I comparing this to aot like atleast the talk no jutsu in aot made sense this is just abysmal writing.

Yeah this episode was bad. Unlike the last one, there wasn't much to enjoy in this one and everything just felt too easy to finish off the show for good as quick as possible. The way the episode handled the writing was really rough.

Wow. Norman changes his mind from genocide quickly. He convinces his followers to do the same and they quickly accept despite all the shit they’ve went through made them hate demons.

I don’t like how Emma magically undos all the character development Norman went through. What's the point of Norman going through all of that trauma and his personality changing as a result, if it's all going to be written out like it was nothing?

The old demon who prayed in the temple that the kids were hiding had drank cursed blood 700 years ago, found a human (most likely Minerva) 15 years ago with a pen he’s conveniently carrying containing crucial information about the blue prints to Grace Field House- which conveniently is the the only gate the human world and a cure for a disease that most likely would not have even existed back then and the pièce de résistance: the little demon girl’s name is Emma....

Plot convenience on steroids in the anime.

I liked to see this turn of events in Norman's vision. Seems like they're finally together, and things will end just fine in the next two weeks.

Although I have mixed opinions about this season, there are some interesting points. And also the soundtrack, which is very good.

I thought them suddenly having a demon genocide drug was a bit much, but then having Mujika be the magic fix all cure too? Uh... and the old demon happened to have her blood, okay...

But gee, surely it can't get more ridiculous than that. Oh, everyone suddenly decided genocide was a bad idea after being 110% dedicated to it before. Oh and it turns out the old man happened to have a pen cap (for over a decade no less, you know just lying around as you do) and that includes the blueprints for the Farm HQ.

But OH WAIT, it just so happens to have the cure to their current drug side effects too.

What a coincidence. Truly something.

Will be glad to see the end of this.

Also as a side note I hate what they did to Ray, I honestly forget he exists.

I am pretty sure, if the anime were to be released first and only after that the manga adaptation, the anime wouldn't get that much hate for now, because it is still a well written story. Also it is nothing new in the whole anime history, that one of the main character is choosing a wrong path and another character helping him to come back on the right one. I am happy to see the old kind Norman again and maybe more Emma-Norman moments.

Gosh, I didn't realize that it's been a while since we've seen Isabella on the screen. That was a refreshing sight to see her return. If she's a "grandma" now, then she is a legit gilf. I'd like to see her put her hair down more, though.

I CAN’T BELIEVE THEY KILLED OFF MISTER WITHOUT EVEN HAVING INTRODUCED HIM ๐Ÿ˜ญ

On a sidenote though: If I was an anime-only, this move at the end would have been the biggest ass pull ever. Like, HOW CONVENIENT that this old demon dude found a dying escapee years ago who had EXACTLY the plan for all the houses and a remedy for their drug that they need now. Why does a remedy even exist in the first place?? It didn’t look like those scientist were planning on healing their guinea pigs or anything.

All in all a decent episode though except for the stuff I just mentioned and that it felt very rushed.
Norman be like: “Anyways guys, plan is cancelled. Just felt like not killing demons anymore, sorry for pulling y’all along with all the preparations and experiments we’ve done the past year. Kinda a waste of time huh lol.”

Barbara, Zazie, Vincent and dude I forgot the name of, who have been dying for revenge and a massacre cuz they’re almost on the verge of dying fr: “Oh yeah sure, no problem. We do as you say boss :)”

I did like their reason for going back to Grace Field and that they put more importance on the Lambda experiments. The manga just kinda brushed over it, but this way they at least do sth more with it.
Also, more Phil and Isabella screentime next episode!!!

All this and Ray having both ears is pissing me off. He cut his left ear OFF. It was an important thing during the escape in season 1.

I really really wanted to see Barbara club the demon kids. Well, maybe not onscreen, but I think it would be in-character for her to do it. She was frothing at the mouth with hatred in previous episodes. She was chowing down on that demon meat. If anyone was NOT going to make friends, it was her.

Alright, now let me do some extrapolating:

- the children production farms are a big business, probably controlled by the nobles / elite of society
- Mujika is "the evil-blooded girl" because she threatens this big business by magically making them unnecessary
- She mentioned "the people from the farms will come after the demons in the town", presumably to wipe them out so that the cure for human meat is kept secret
- If all of that is true, how can the Demon & Human Friendship Gang™ save their families AND stop the government / big corporate from killing everyone involved (such as the town demons) and covering it up?
- they have to stop the Lambda method from being implemented on the farms, then destroy the farm system, and cause a complete socio-economic collapse and possibly destroy a religion as well, since the demons see eating human meat as some sort of holy ritual.
- In 2 episodes.

The genocide would have been enough of a mess to complete, but doing all of that while everyone is alive will be impossible.

I'm sure the power of friendship will save the day! *rolling my eyes*

Despite what everyone is saying I quite liked this ep, emotional, Normal realizing that is ideology was not correct.
Loved the part when Ray yelled at Normal in the beginning.

Ray didn't cut his left ear off, it was Emma who lost the ear, not Ray, he simply had the bandage on it because it was injured due to the operation or whatever but his ear was always there.

Now about the episode:

After the awesome previous episode this one left me with a bad taste, so many plot conveniences on this episode which got resolved way too quickly, they are rushing this down way too hard, can't blame them really, we only have 2 episode left but rushed animes are always bad so yeah, this crap is bad.

I really dislike the talk no jutsu type of thing, it's just a lazy way of resolving the issues, these issues aren't being resolved with good story nor plot twist, they are being resolved in a lazy way with the talk no jutsu. It only took 1 talk no jutsu from Emma to resolve everything, it may take another talk no jutsu from Emma to convince the last boss too, we will see...

I gave the previous episode a 5/5 but I will give this episode a 3/5. The last episode gave me a bit of hope but the hope is gone again, this season can't be saved in 2 episodes because it's simply going to be rushed as hell, this will definitely end up in 6.8 or less.

This episode throughout was almost plot convenient and a bit of power of friendship. Atleast there are no more Demons killed and all of them returned back to normal. We got Vylk's (I guess) backstory, and he gave the piece of a pen that holds the Grace Field's blueprint and the composition of the drug that can save Norman and his followers. All is well, they're gonna save Phil and others because they need to, and while they're at it they might as well escape the Demon world altogether. All is well, until the bald guy Vincent just blackball us at the end and decides to sell them off to the higher ups. AND THAT WAS THE ONE THING THAT TRULY PISSED ME OFF IN THIS EPISODE.

You have a good setup for a good ending, and after all the plot convenient developments and actions from the characters, they decided to make Vincent the traitor from their group, like come on HOW MUCH TWISTS AND SHIT DO WE NEED TO TAKE IN THIS SEASON. Ngl throughout this season, Mujika is the only character that I actually liked, even after everything, she's the only one that I can actually respect. And goddamn it Vincent, you just done it for us. I can't believe that TPN, out of all shows in the Winter season, would I consider dropping because at this point, I am exhausted.

Mujika being the cure to the disease was since episode 1 the cure, they even explained it, that's the only thing that stays true from the manga, everything else is bullshit and lazy writing.

Thanks for clearing that up.

You know what would be even more retarded than that one specific old demon guy having a tiny pencap he'd been carrying around on his person for literally 15 years? If he was blind too. Wait...

Well, it's clear they want to end it fast, I expect the whole Grace Field stuff to get resolved quickly too. There's likely never gonna be an S3 so part me wonders if this was just greenlit so they can feel some kind of closure with the anime original ending that just breezes through everything.

Well hello, Grandma Isabella~

Well, for people so obsessed with killing Demons, the deal with Barbara and co. sure was solved rather quickly. Not to mention the insulting deus ex machina that came in the form of a pen's missing piece but other than that, this episode was still enjoyable in its own way. The fact of having a Demon teaching some Humans about humanity was actually quite nice, I must say.

The Convenient Neverland. Norman and his pals change their minds awfully quick too after just a few words. I guess the power of friendship outdoes years of being drugged and tortured, who would've thought. And Isabella appeared once a while ago, disappeared from the show and now turns back up at the end as "Grandma Isabella" this anime is a shell of its former self honestly, they've skipped over so much shit.

What is actually going on... what happened to Norman being so shocked that the evil blooded girl was alive? Literally what was the point of that suspense? And why does everything wrap up easily after they decided to not go ahead with the annihilation plan. Suddenly they have a cure? How convenient.... It feels very 'holier-than-thou' for the sake of Emma just wanting to be a pacifist. Anyone else feel the same??

Finally the dude at the end. WHAT could he even gain at this point if he waited so long to report that he found the children. The only thing I can come up with is that he's been promised huge bank. I'm so dissatisfied -_-

up until this episode, i really thought that this season wasn't as bad as everyone was saying, but this ep was a gigantic let down; i was really surprised to see that most of the people on here actually loved it. so here's the thing: the ending of the episode was kinda cool, and the thing with isabella being the grandma now was interesting too, but the only thing i can say about barbara and the rest of norman's guys' sudden "change of heart" was pretty shit. i get that they think highly of norman and are willing to do what he says (for obvious reasons) but the way they just went from "EXTERMINATE ALL DEMONS >:(" to "ok norman we're totally happy with ur decision :)" was the worst possible way they could've played it out. i think the only way to save it at this point would be to have barbara and the gang being in on what vincent is doing (cooperating with lambda probably) but pretending to accept it so that norman wouldn't exclude them/stop trusting them.

Honestly, if the gang was in on it with Vincent and did all this to gain Norman's trust, I would take back all my words because THAT would be a twist...
