| Oh boy this episode was a pure delight to my eyes! Gorgeous animation, beautiful lighting and spectacular choreography. This is probably one of the main episodes that made this anime so famous. I never liked when a main character becomes powerful through mere flashbacks or power of friendship and stuff like that, but its just part of what shounen are. But the colorful animation was just beautiful, you can’t take that away. |
| Episode 19... been a while since I saw this episode which pretty much broke the internet and made Demon Slayer, already one of the most popular anime out there in the mainstream and in the past decade at least. This was a popular series beforehand, but this episode was what made those ratings rise skyhigh and the members amount exponentially grew after this. I loved this episode back in the day, and I can see why. My feelings are nowhere near as positive as it is nowadays but it is incredible seeing how a couple minutes of an episode made this take off to to the skies. I wish there was more depth towards Rui, kind of feels underwhelming even now and one thing that's definitely nowhere near as good as how I felt before were the actual demon characters themselves. More should be elaborated on that end though with the next episode hopefully since Demon Slayer did stuff like this in earlier episodes too. And the way Tanjiro and Nezuko powered up after their reflections of the past opening their eyes a bit did feel a bit contrived and too shounen for me. But the animation for that sequence still looks really damn sick, with great usage of digital effects, camera movement and sound effects/music to create a thrilling and intense atmosphere in the air during this sequence. It looks and sounds really good. I'm more into the kind of action that Mushoku Tensei has sparingly from detailed and pacey spars to combat over these last 2-3 years specifically but this one still is good enough even now, even if it's the effects side that carries this more than the choreography itself. Is this an asspull? Yeah I'd say so but many shounen series pull this off and this wasn't a bad watch even with that. "Kamado Tanjiro no Uta" is still a great song, fit the action and family themes ongoing in that period. The music in general with this series sometimes feel unbalanced with the action and emotional moments going on, making stuff feeling a bit too forced at times. But here, it was balanced really well with everything, complemented well without overpowering or forcing anything. And it was nice with the ending visuals too. Those drawings are desktop wallpaper worthy so easily. Kind of nuts though how this was only 2 and a half years ago. A year and a half before Jujutsu Kaisen took the internet by |

| Best episode for me. The bond between this sibling is godly. Im so moved with this episode I keep on replaying the part where their mother is waking Nezuko-chan then poof, Nezuko strikes. Love it. |

| Getting this kind of superpower with memories from the past is really convenient for Tanjirou. It didn't hit me that good and it felt little too convenient for this scene. I wish they would have even given a foreshadowing of this superpower. |

But it has the highest number of votes in any episode or manga discussion thread and of course it has the highest number of 5/5 votes. Just tells you how much popular this episode was that it broke the internet and trended for weeks. Edit:- It didn't even take a day and now we have CSM episode 1 with quite a lot of votes crossing 10000 and Bleach Tybw ep 1 which is also catching up to these number of votes. Anyways they seemed to be heavily botted and their 5/5% isn't the most remarkable. (Bleach has a good 5/5% for votes and rightfully so) |

And nearly every popular Anime has bots dude. Hmmm. I agree these two had one of the best starts in anime history. I mean Bleach just blew my expectations away. Still if you look at their discussions, you will find out there are quite a lot of bots increasing the posts and votes. I never said that they aren't popular. Having a lot of bots is actually a good sign that the series is popular for various reasons. |

| Just as perfect as the first time. Experiencing it again made me remember that this OST played just as big of a role as the animation or at least very close to it. The sad feeling it gave to this moment was the perfect one. And well, the animation is just incredible. This is what you get when everything goes right, Nezuko suddenly waking up and learning the special ability, Tanjirou's flashback, which made me really want to see his father because he's the one that Muzan kind of feared, and Rui's death. Now for the follow-up. |
