| Ive watched all Higurashi anime available (including the infamous Kira OVA) and I'm surprised how good this remake. Its scary, but whats scrarier is that how low the avg score is. It should be a little higher like around 7.8+. For reference, the trash Rent A GF scored higher than this. My only downside is the animation. Its low quality considering its a 2020 anime. Plot is solid like my junk. Even if you watch the old Higurashi, this mf will still caught you off guard. It will only gets better. Now do Oyashiro-sama a favor and watch this anime. |

| I watched the original Higurashi and I'm gonna be honest with you none of the people I know who are watching Higirashi Gou - having watched the original or not - find it to be even remotely scary. I'd say Higurashi Gou is quite terrible in building its atmosphere, with weak coloring and directing, which doesn't bring up the tension up at all - unlike in the original anime. |

Maybe because they wants to focus on the mystery rather than creating tension? I don't think it's bad just that it is a downgrade in visual presentation mostly. |

I know I am very late, I havent watch this new season of higurashi, BUT Rent a GF is not Trash! It was a fun romcom! |

| I found Gou is peak of Higurashi Anime, i don't know. I enjoyed more than other seasons. |
