| Name: AyuMItsuki Level Achieved: 3 From Batch: 103 Finished on time Anime Watched: Ping Pong the Animation Your score for the anime watched: 9 Add me again Comment: I have heard a lot of people praise this anime but I avoided it due to the sports theme (one of the few things I can't get myself to enjoy most of the time). I started out with mixed feelings, knowing it is generally regarded as a great anime but also being afraid I'd dislike it because of the topic. However, while ping pong was the central theme, the stories of the characters and their personalities were represented really well. Though I can't relate to the passion and effort people put into it (as I have not experienced something that requires the dedication professional sports do) there were a lot of feelings conveyed that felt very realistic and in reach. I initially wanted to give it an 8 but after seeing the final episode and how everyone turned out in the end, I felt like it deserved a 9. It told so many different stories and managed to pull them all together in 11 episodes so I am impressed. I am also considering reading the manga. |
