| Normally this would be a good thing, but I preferred the more laid back moderation before. I don't like it when mods are breathing down your neck after each post and deleting anything that isn't Christian material or wordy. I prefer it when things are more laid back and dislike it when things get stiff. Still, I haven't really had any major problems so far. I've just noticed the moderation is increasing a bit too much for my taste. |

It's a decision thats made by the mod team. Once a person is selected as a mod candidate (there are several factors that go into it, like for the Manga Mod team we look at entries, consistancy, accuracy, that sort of thing. Sometimes we look at specific requirements, like "who is knowledgeable in this section" and "who speaks this language".), then they are asked. It's not something the mod staff springs upon a person. They have the ability to decline a position. And as windy said, we are currently going through a 'recruit' phase with manga and anime mods, and until that is finished the post will have to wait. Forum mods just jumped the gun a bit and didn't wait for everyone else ;) |
