| I find her design appealing,the same as in the manga,and because she is "Sugoi Dekai",also she has a certain "sarcastic" way of treating Shinichi which I find appealing.Her personality is great,and I'd imagine she'd be fun to be around. | I don find her hot, but she is cute fer sure. Her face looks fine. Its a very modern, clean and crisp looking anime, with good coloring and movement of the characters. They obviously obscure her nose most of the time, probably to make her a bit more attractive. But she is a bit too short, around 5'4'', the hair is too short, so I would think she was a dude without the honkers. lol. That being said: Possible reasons she might be attractive could be her bubbly persona, the fact that shes not really a ditz, and does have her own personality. She is surely feminine in the ways she gets emotional but can also be shy and embarrassed. Some guys dig that a lot more than others. She is also clearly into the main dude, and most guys would LOVe to have a cute chick be into them like that. And yes...the boobs. She is easily a large F cup to a large G cup at most. And considering when I was younger busty chicks and I just clicked all the time, some "being after me"...I cant hate on the characters. Hell I slept with half of the women I have known. lol ITs just a fun, slice of life show that a man can relate to in some aspects. HOWEVER...as a loner too, chicks like that can be annoying. It is just when a character is made to look that young and that sexualised at the same time I can get irritated (e.g. Shield Hero and Cuties). Though it makes me more annoyed at the author/creator of the art more than the actual character themselves since their creation usually just encourages the perversion of young teenagers, a concept that is quite common in both Japanese media and it's culture. Btw I know she is not a teenager (21 for that matter), but when the character has a teenager like body, voice and practically everything else, a word of exposition doesn't really change the fact that she was created to practically be one. Thanks for the explanation. And I can understand your reasoning. But personally I wonder if her design was motivated by getting away with creating something on the edge of being legal, or to make us think about prejudice and how many people judge things that are outside their personal preference, then this preference having slowly become some 'universal reference', as bad. The manga, and also scenes in the anime, contain a few moments where the message is clear to not judge what you don't know. Like Sakurai deeming everything with chocolate mint flavor to taste like toothpaste, and that no one could ever like that taste, because he himself had a bad experience with it. Surely enough that was partially meant as a joke, but some lines in that scene seem to have been intended to make us think "are we like that too?" Same with Uzaki mocking Sakurai's habit to watch solo movies, she only sees that from her point of view, and Sakurai corrects her on that. Or the café owner and his daughter both thinking Uzaki is a cute kid, only looking at her size/length, before seeing her full appearance, and realizing she is different from their first impression. It may be a slice of life/comedy/romcom thing, but I think the author did at times try to slip in some messages about not judging something or someone based upon first impressions or purely their appearance. I could be wrong, but maybe the motivation of the author wasn't just to give in to some fetish fantasy. |
