The pace of the episode has not improve. Still bad execution. Man, they seriously need to stop doing the flashback to learn the situation of the other heroes, I seen this way too many time to be needing a reminder. Also, stop reintroducing the villain that we already know in multiple previous episode. Stop dragging on time and get the the main scene. The more I watch Deku, the more I hate him. Bro, you got to the scene. You had only 2 freaking options: 1) Grab Mirio and Eri and run. 2) Stay and fight Overhaul with Nighteye who doesn't possess a quirk that boost his physical power. BUT NO, he decided to go with neither after checking the situation. Fight Overhaul not with his full power. He stay near Eri, hesitate with his long narration then see Nighteye got beaten and freak out. Base on the prior season of what the student learn in the academy, there is an episode where they do rescue training for class activity. But in reality, Deku fail to execute that. Mirio, on the other hand, did his part and take Eri away as the top 1 student even after losing his quirk. When Deku come back to fight Overhaul again, he need to get into the mood in order draw out his power. His chara is weak to the point is annoying. AOTY? Absolute Not Anime of 2019? No either. TheAnimeMan didn't even bother mentioning this series on his video for the top anime of the decade. |

It gets really annoying. You think All might would do that ‘?? No , he would go to fight. Look at shounen characters, they get stronger the more they fight bad guys that push them and get more experience. I mean look at Black Clover, Boruto, and others. They fight villains regularly now, one after the other |

not every situations needs to be over analyzed, i prefer Black Clover and Boruto much more to My Hero. Everything has to be an analytical situation and they always run away. In season 3, when they were rescuing Bakugo it would have been a perfect opportunity for them to fight against villains by themselves. I hate this slow paced bs, bring on the villains and let the character continue to grow stronger. Being in the school does nothing anymore, they need to fight. Why cant we fights reguarly. Naruto, DBZ, Bleach, Black Clover, Boruto, 7DS, Fairy Tail do it consistently. I hate strategy and tactics, just fight. You think All Might ever has a strategy??’ man i hope izuku grows out of this |

He's a recycle chara from Boku no Hero (the original work) before Boku no Hero Academia. Overly analyze is not bad thing, but he is lacking the ability to think of the possibility in various situation. Deku should have the MC from the CautiousHero/ShinchouYuusha as his teacher since Sir Nighteye only taught Mirio to take caution and predict. |

I'm glad the series take a darker path and the fight scenes are really astonishing. It might become my favorite arc. Overhaul's transformation looks sick by the way, I wonder if he will goes into a even weirder form later on (do not spoil me). @DragonIncursio Black Clover? Are you really talking about that trash tier anime? Anyway, analysis is interesting because it makes scenes deeper so it doesn't become brainless. Though, I can agree that having too much analysis breaks the pacing. However, there's nothing interesting about an anime where there are only fight scenes. It's just good for kids who are unable to use their brain. To be honest, if BNHA was that kind of anime that would be just another pointless anime. |

That's one reason why I prefer they fight villains more frequently |

Looks like the backup needs some backup. The thing with Nighteye's quirk with how when he sees a future it will always happen no matter what is pretty tragic. I wouldn't want to use it either. Anyways where is the spinoff where Deku dies and Mirio is the new MC? I mean just have a munch of Deku/All Mights hair and we good to go. |

Another episode with action and tones of sadness and despair, is a shame of how Nighteye ended up after facing Overhaul and seeing poor Mirio suffering after losing his quirk and also after seeing how Nighteye was lethally injured by Overhaul's attack. Izuku has it very difficult to face Overhaul, now that the bastard merged with Nemoto to become stronger and in turn heal all the wounds he received when Mirio fought with him. I was worried about Eraser after seeing that he is being held at the hands of Kurono, I suppose he will get rid of his problem, I hope it is so. What a great sorrow gave me to see the desperation of little Eri, Overhaul has poisoned the poor girl's mind and with Nemoto's ability this is worse, I hope the little girl would realize that although her saviors are injured there may still be hope, but she has to do her part too and send Overhaul to hell. I felt a bad feeling when Nighteye mentioned what he saw with his quirk, he and Izuku die at the hands of Overhaul, I hope his prediction is not fulfilled, but seeing in the serious condition that Nighteye was, they do not give a good omen and add that Izuku is injured to fight, but in the next episode it seems that Tsuyu and Ochako arrive unexpectedly as reinforcements with Ryuukyuu, so I can hope that both will be saved. |

-Aincrad- said: Call me crazy but the last time I saw Shokugeki no Souma's tags, shounen was one of them, it's true that it doesn't requiere high quality animation, but it does requiere some animation, one episode can be perfectly 200 static pictures and yall would take it like normal.Alvaritoterreos said: Damn, people realling getting butthurt with this episode animation, but then they take 4 seasons of Shokugeki no Souma like that shit has some animation and don't complain a shit. Yeah 'cause Food Wars is not a f*cking battle (shounen) anime, so it doesn't really require high quality animation. Also, it actually has some really good animation(at least until season 3,which is the last season I saw). In my opinion in the third season they started with this 200 pictures for episode and started being worst than an average anime. But it's still true that some episodes have great animation. |

Lol so much bitching about animation. Animation this, animation that. I get it's not on par with previous seasons and it could be more fluid and kinetic but as long as it still looks decent or more than decent enough I don't see why it should be a problem. Also those complaning about "slow" pacing (which isn't really slow, it's just taking its time for proper build up), instant gratification will never be as impactful as the more gradual one. I like the way it's been handled so far. |

Aside from Kai, the other 8 bullets are just so underdeveloped. I thought these villains may actually feel menacing, but they remind me of useless side characters from 1A. First 3 of them got taken out by Tamaki without really any major danger. 2 of them basically got defeated by kiri and Fatgum. The last 2 got taken out by Mirio (If the quirk erasure didn't exist, Mirio already wrecked them all. ) 1 of them just disappeared outside the building with no mention until probably episode 13. Totally forgot who that villain was because that fight basically didn't exist. And Kai's assistants. 1 already taken down without any damage to literally anyone. Chrono is probably the only one who did something. Gotta see next episode. There is really no danger at all. |

If Lemillion doesnt get One For All now to make up for his lost quirk Im going to be forever salty at this just like Im forever salty at the Rosenritter shounen plot armour in LoGH. Seriously. Mirio destroyed all 3 of them while literally protecting a massive weakpoint at the cost of his own body. He even continued to do so after he lost his quirk. Absolute MVP. Deku continued to be a little bitchboy while getting support from 2 top heroes (who are arguable kinda useless) and without anyone even playing the "lets kill Eri" card. Really Lemillion should have gotten OFA. Its not even like only one person can get it. All Might and Deku had it at the same time. Just give Mirio one of your hairs Deku. Come on. Be usefull. I was expecting Deku and the rest to stomp the beat up Chisaki here, instead he got some BS powerup. Really he can Instakill anyone with a single touch Heal any injury instantly Alter the terrain Fuse with other people and use their quirk Thats BS levels of power. Even Golden Experience Requiem would be impressed. Facepalm Man from LOV can rot stuff he touches. Thats it. Sure this is not just about what quirks can do but what people do with it but still. Thats a nice scale. For some boring side villain thats just too much. I hope Mirio doesnt die here. I doubt BNHA has the balls to do it though. Nighteye might die but lets see. Why the faq cant this kind of show have competent MCs. Aside from the story, atleast this ep wasnt a slideshow. I guess the upcoming episode will be better in animation though. TLDR: Give Mirio OFA |

Reading the manga, this arc is alot more disappointing than I remembered. Half of the arc is inserted with flashbacks galore with fights barely lasting long at all. Most if not all of the fights were disappointing, boring, short or all. Convoluted character writing that basically could've ended the arc from the very beginning, but not because plot. The worst parts are the pacing because of the amount of time we spend on flashbacks and how short the fights are to begin with. The best choreographed fight was Sun Eater's and it was filled with too many flashbacks and monologues with very little action. The best flashback was Kirishima's, but with probably the worst fight by far. This episode has the same problem I've had with the past 4 episodes of this arc, too many flashbacks with too little action happening in between. 20% barely felt like it ever happened. Full Body Cowl felt like a significant power up and they even hyped up Deku using legs/shoot style as a big deal, but this major power up barely felt like it happened. Season 4 is by far the weakest so far and honestly the entirety of the MHA seasons is nowhere at my top 20 of the decade. IMO, the best season is season 1 as a whole. |

Completely lacks so much of the flare and love that went into season 2, which was clearly the strongest season of the show, season 3 still had fantastic moments that more than fucking delivered but man it feels like the current director really didn't put in much good work. waiting now for the fanboys to cry "NO UR A HATER UR NOT TRU FAN OF SERIES SHUT UP YOU ARE BIASED I WIN BYE BYE!" I already explained in another comment why BNHA is atleast in the top 3 animes of the decade, there is alot of reasons and feats to it be even on par with HxH(2011)! |

By far best episode of this season; there was less drama (& more Action) compared to previous episodes, which gave me the same feeling & enjoyment when i watched previous seasons of MHA. I hope, they stick with less drama in the upcoming episodes too. |

Thats what I wanna hear, fuck the BHA fun boys that sucks of these still frames. It was awful.. almost no animation, mostly just stills and in classic fashion mido has to hype himself up every time he moves an inch. (when he could be fighting) I don't know wtf you guys are talking about, "lots of action" my ass. |

Kami_sama_ said: 1st) My Hero is A Seasonal Anime and Black Clover is on going series that has over 110 Episodes and it is still going up until 150 to take a break. 2nd) Studio differences are so big,Studio Pierrot and Bones Studio. At least Pierrot gives the animation quality at hype moments. 3rd) Why the fuck are they doing a movie while the 4th season is airing. Like for real. And the previous Director gone cause of that movie ffs.akbeakbas93 said: Kami_sama_ said: It was pretty amazing honestly, at the standard of previous seasons. Just think of the last episode as an outlier to the normal MHA animation, it was the director's decision, and not due to a lack of quality animators. However, the animation in episode 13 looks godly from what I saw in the preview. Definitely my favourite episode of the season so far. - Has Black Clover in their favourite anime section. - Complains about overused outlined slide show. hhhhhhhmmmmmmmmnnnn |
