I'm still so disgusted and sad over what has happened, I can't sleep. What a tragic loss of industry talent, but more importantly, what a horrific amount of suffering and grief. So many people dead, so many friends and family members. I will forever mourn what great works these souls could have created, but its almost selfish to think of a company and its products, when humans have been killed. All the love and support in the world should be given to the survivors and families of the deceased. Hopefully step are taken so that this kind of terror cannot so easily be inflicted again, and the victims can recover with as little trauma and pain as possible. This devastation will not be forgotten, even as we strive to move beyond it.

Why are the good people the ones who die first? KyoAni was what defined anime for me, with Hyouka being one of the first that I watched and it was easily the best out of those first few. I haven't caught up with all of KyoAni's works and neither did I know how they are championing such a progressive workplace in the terrible anime industry. But knowing how KyoAni helped so many lives makes this incident even more painful to bear. I'm just so shocked, angry, disgusted and sad to see such a horrifying incident happen to such a good company. And it scares me to know that it only took one person to irreversibly ruin so many people's lives across the world.

My deepest condolences to KyoAni and the affected families. May the deceased rest in peace. Hopefully KyoAni can recover from this.

Why is that KyoAni had to face this. They defined what anime was to me. The best anime studio that we ever had to me. My deepest condolences to all the staff members of KyoAni who died and their families and friends. The anime community will never forget you.

Meus sinceros sentimentos."

This is seriously fucked up. Kyoani is one of my favorite studios and one that has brought me so much joy, their studio also has a better reputation in terms of the way they treat their employees, they also employ more women than most other studios (sadly from what I'm hearing most of the victims in the fire thus far have been women). The fact that this has happened to one of the most wholesome studios in all of anime, is incredibly depressing. They've lost all their work, both digital and physical.

Kyoani, I hope you and the victims of this fire heal from this and continue making the anime you've worked so hard to produce over the years with the same love and care, so many people have been touched by what you put into your works not only domestically, but internationally. May the deceased Rest In Peace, and the survivors take the time they need to recover in the meantime.

I will not go into details out of respect but the Police have told family members that some of the victims will need to have DNA testing to identify them so that final word of who was lost will take at least another week.

Prayers and support of all kinds, empathy and sympathy for families and for KyoAni staff and leaders is our way to help the healing.

thank you

Was never a huge fan of KyoAni, but nobody deserves a tragedy like this. It's been a few days now and the death toll has unfortunately been increasing, hope the remaining victims will be able to pull through and that the arsonist gets what they deserve.

Kurosawa Tomoyo (Sylphy | Amagi Brilliant Park, Oumae Kumiko | Hibike! Euphonium) Blog: Tribute to KyoAni

Toyota Moe (Inami Sakura | Kyokai no Kanata, Kawashima Sapphire | Hibike! Euphonium) Blog: Tribute to KyoAni

Toyota Moe's Tribute to KyoAni is especially heartbreaking as she was given her professional debut by the studio. And she shared some fond memories of the lovely people who worked there. They were Passionate. Warm. And Kind. And they would share their miso soup. Everyday. Like any warm and tightly bond family.

This has been plaguing my mind ever since it happened. I was even in the middle of re-watching Liz and the Blue Bird when the news broke out about the arson. KyoAni and their works mean the world to me. They've helped me through dark periods of my life, which might sound silly to say about Japanese cartoons, but it's the truth. "K-On!" is also my favorite anime of all time.

I'm deeply saddened and heartbroken over this senseless loss of life due to the actions of one monster. I hope KyoAni is able to recover from this blow, however long they need to take. My prayers go out to the victims and and anyone affected by this tragedy. Words can really not express just how heartbroken this has left me.
