I finished that Beelzebub episode the next day, that was super cute fetish fuel. Omorashi (おもらし / オモラシ / お漏らし), sometimes abbreviated as simply "omo", is a form of urolagnia (urine fetish) subculture originating and predominately recognized in Japan, in which participants experience arousal from having a full bladder or wetting themselves, or from seeing someone else experiencing a full bladder https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omorashi VRV comments "this washed my soul" "such a warm and pure feeling watching this 💕" You are the pure ones ;P Would eat that yellow snow from Jashin-chan. |

Just finished IMAS but dudes, it did turn out pretty good! And to think I never would have touched it if not for goofy chibi specials. Liked the music more than I did 2011 imas too. Some people might tell you there is a 2006 imas anime but you have my permission to gouge their eyes out. I think they were forced to do a better job putting it together because they couldn't just go "oh here's miki this will distract you for 15 of these 23 minutes" not sure where cinderella girls went so wrong, really |

I was looking forward to space fisher Ruby (obviously, since I put her in the collage in the first post), but she was pretty disappointing last week. nDroae said: Disappointing that the coordinator lady was too obsessed with looking As White As Possible to put on a swimsuit and get in the water, that could have made the episode considerably better. Americans are loud, brash, rude and annoying, riiight? It's impressive that currently a whole half of the main six are annoying, while green, gray and purple have nothing to do beyond cute dialects. Maybe gray will be featured next week since the title starts with "boku." Space Fishing could get better once the girls stop fighting every episode, but unfortunately the show seems to have been written by someone who thinks conflict = quality. Meanwhile at the other end of the scale Ms. Vampire is pure 4-koma with almost no dramatic structure at all, to the enragement of one commenter on Anime Feminist. I don't want to bring everything back to Yuru Camp but the first episode of... that show I mentioned is a how-to guide. Things change, they progress. Rin goes from completely ignoring nadeshiko to looking after her. We start off with Rin being disappointed that she can't see Mount Fuji and the episode peaks when the drama between Nadeshiko and Rin has happened and the clouds clear to reveal the most beautiful shot of Mount Fuji illuminated by the moon. The whole episode is set at the side of Lake Kawaguchi but we visit different locations by the lake. It's not all just set in three rooms. He(?) also says "If they couldn't sort that problem, they shouldn't have adapted [Ms. Vampire] at all." No. Interesting POV on Space Fishing from @RedScarf314: https://myanimelist.net/reviews.php?id=292494 It has quite peculiar production values. While they are not the best, it would be a mistake to call them low. Low production values are usually associated with poor planning/budget and lead to technical errors/schedule slips. This show is the inverse - it's like it is done by amateurs who have no experience but are otherwise competent and get most of the stuff right. It's most obvious with the voice acting - several VA’s literally has this as a first job ever and you can hear it. Is the voice acting bad? No, on the contrary - the result is technically competent, but with the added bonus of not sounding like every “anime girl voice” ever. Same goes for the screenplay/directing - it often goes in unexpected directions that make no sense, but are enjoyable nonetheless - because you haven’t seen those developments in a hundred of other shows before. Have you ever seen a beach episode where half the cast straight-up refuses to go to the beach? Have you ever seen a beach episode where some complete randos show up instead to take their place? Sora to Umi no Aida unexpectedly has an art-house/indie film appeal - it's refreshingly unique and non-formulaic, even if the reason for this is creators simply not knowing how to do formulaic. (I wouldn't be surprised if AP could answer yes to those last two questions.) I appreciate the show's strangeness, though parts of it seem like attempts at doing the formula which ended up too extreme - the blue one being the abrasive overachiever (reminder I'm currently watching Love Live), and short-brown-haired MC designed to be a lovable enthusiastic bumbling idiot, a mix of the Love Live MC and Yui from K-On. (Obvious examples, but it's very likely the creators of Space Fishing were familiar with both.) Of course the problem with any character meant as a "lovable bumbling idiot" is there's a big risk of ending up with more of the audience irritated than charmed. Personally, I never hated Jar Jar Binks. :P https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-44708983 |

WAN FO AH, AH FO WAN is a strong earworm. I liked Space Fishing this week nDroae said: Yeah, every episode has had parts I liked but this was the first to offer a lot more good than bad. Looking forward to next week's mauve "Scottish" feature (Maiko) and eventual green (Makiko). Well... Crunchyroll subbing Maiko's accent as Scottish makes about as much sense as Billy Boyd's Glaswegian as Pippin in Lord of the Rings (where the characters weren't actually speaking English according to Tolkien), that is to say, I like it. It makes a welcome change from the usual Applejack American southern accent to which translators tend to default when faced with "unusual" regional dialects. I would be impressed with myself if I could remember which was Makiko / Makoto / Maiko without looking at the character list. Well, I guess Makoto has the more "masculine" sounding name, not that western instinct means anything in a land where Tomoya is a boy's name and Tomoyo is a girl's name. Welcome to Japari Park episode 7 is out and I started the discussion thread with a zoology shitpost nDroae said: It's cool that the owls' earplugs were high on one side and low on the other, like a real owl's ears. BBC video: "How Does An Owl's Hearing Work? | Super Powered Owls" But wait. The other girls have two human ears and two animal ears. So do the owls have only animal ears? If they had human ears as well, they didn't plug them. However, owl ears being much more sensitive, it may make sense that they'd prioritize their owl ears for protection. What if they had human ears in those locations? Season 2 being an apparent reboot with no Kaban and a different human child, I wonder whether it will follow this game story or be another new thing. |

A lot of the people who don't like Spyce seem to be comparing it to Princess Principal. I don't think that's a great comparison. Just because they both have spies? I rather compare Spyce to something like Twin Angel because it's campy. |

Looking great girl. -1 Point to Yuki for this really bad line +100 Gay Points* +50 Gay Points* This is now officially the gayest namori show if you count Chitose scenes as non-canon. *Gay Points are not actually gay they are just 2 girls expanding their friendship through physically intimate moments. It's getting easier to predict how people will react stupidly these days -_- nDroae 8/11/18 https://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2018/08/10/ninja-wreak-high-tech-havoc-in-release-the-spyce-tv-anime-trailer#commentsI'd say PrinPrin made its intentions clear by the end of the first episode :) Whereas this probably has substantially different intent, so I wouldn't say they're on the same quality scale, it's a matter of what you want. Like, just a guess, if PrinPrin was Game of Thrones then this is Narnia. Senran Kagura got serious again after two episodes of extreme ecchi nonsense. The ED is jarring like After Story's, going straight from big drama to the girls relaxing in an onsen. NSFW link, nipples everywhere (somehow not reported/deleted yet) I got into another industry discussion on CR https://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-1025862/update-to-the-crunchyroll-x-funimation-partnership?pg=33 nDroae said: minortribute said: unless they can start pulling shows that are still not signed by other contracts from Japan I don't think CR will last very long without signing new contracts. just grabbing the new shows that come out every season is not enough to keep people here. Typically new "license rescue" catalog additions come via companies like Discotek, which negotiated with Japan for physical release rights. That makes it more worthwhile for that company than it would be for CR to negotiate for streaming rights only, since catalog streaming doesn't pull in nearly as much traffic as you'd think (I once thought the same). CR doesn't show view counts, but from the number of ratings on episodes, we can get a rough idea of how many people are watching. Here are the number of ratings on some of Funimation's most popular shows of all time, among those added here as catalog titles. Cowboy Bebop: Episode 1: 746, episode 2: 292, episode 3: 269 Steins;Gate: 754, 506, 421 Noragami: 605, 423, 388 Code Geass: 441, 271, 225 Psycho-Pass: 448, 285, 272 Compare those to the numbers on recent and current non-Funimation simulcasts: Cells at Work: 2934, 2139, 1547 Asobi Asobase: 1666, 1159, 993 SAO Alicization: 2791, 1849, 1553 Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai: 2333, 2334, 2270 (impressive high retention rate on this one!) Because of that (and monogatari comparisons), I'm now watching Bunny Girl Senpai :P |

Anima Yell turns out to be my fav cgdct this season. I think I want to pinch Kohane's cheeks so hard. Just started Gridman recently, it has potential to be my AOTS and WOTS at the same time. I like Akane, she's like an upgraded version of Gasai Yuno and Satou Matsuzaka or maybe even Haruhi. She's obviously lonely so someone has to hug her. Rikka is cool although Akane is better. What annoys me is that her thighs are the most overhyped thing since Hestias boobs. Waifuism aside, Gridman is a pretty cool mecha show. |
