| I'll post mine: Hugtto Precure - Good so far and I've watched every other Precure so no reason to stop. Toji no Miko - It's not very good but I already committed to it. Way too much downtime with boring exposition. Needs more cute stuff or action, preferably both. 3D Kanojo Real Girl - this show is objectively bad in almost every way and I would completely agree with anyone who scores it as a 1. With that said I am fucking enjoying it and I hate myself for it. Will watch it all. Alice or Alice - harmless short, decently entertaining. Tachibanakan Triangle - same as Alice or Alice but significantly less good. Comic Girls - solid comedy, cute characters, easy 9/10. FranXX - continuing this one, I have mixed feelings on it but overall it's been a positive experience watching it. Episode 13 was the most recent I watched and it was definitely the best in the entire series, I doubt they will reach that level again in the 2nd half but I still wanna see how it ends. Mahou Shoujo Site - maybe the edgiest first episode I ever watched. It was way over the top so I couldn't take it too seriously but honestly I kinda liked it lol. Guilty Pleasure. Nobunaga no Shinobi - it's a good short in it's 5th cour, I recommend it to anyone. It's easy watching, historical, comical, and cute. Tada-kun: pretty solid first episode, I like the girls a lot, should enjoy this one. Uma Musume: have it at an 8 rn but will move it to 9 soon if it keeps up. very enjoyable, funny, and cute. WIXOSS: S2 of the spin-off of WIXOSS. I didn't like the S1 of the spin-off as much as I did the original series but I'll still watch this S2 I really like the franchise overall and I trust them to do something interesting and get me engaged this season Fumikiri Jikan: haven't watched it yet but I assume it fits the same reasoning as Alice or Alice and Tachibanakan Triangle Wotaku: it looks good enough and it's pretty well hyped. First ep airs tomorrow I'll probably end up giving this one an 8 or a 9 if everything goes according to plan. Akkun to Kanojo: haven't watched it yet but same as Fumikiri Jikan Steins Gate 0: I liked the original so I'll probably like this Amanchu Advance: I liked the original so I'll probably like this Shounen Ashibe Go Go Goma Chan Season 3: why the fuck am i still watching this? oh well I already watched this far I'm gonna fucking watch it to the end. Cardcaptor Sakura: Still my favourite thing airing rn. Have it at a 10 and unlikely to change it. that's all 20 of my shows for this season I think. |

Bajar poking at Creatures Family Days, not sure if want to bite  I decided to read the 3D Kanojo manga later instead of watching the show (apparently smutty manga is the only kind I can actually get through reading unless there's bugs and/or critter-girls) also that studio just came off of Marchen Madchen Nobunaga no Shinobi is great. Gonna be getting sadder though, since unlike Horse Girls it has to stick to history. I might watch Tada-kun later if I read enough convincing positive things. Wotaku remains my #1 most wanted Thanks for the heads up on Akkun to Kanojo, often I never know which shows are shorts unless I'm already paying attention to them. | what AP's watching, part 1, I cut this down a lot: not current: Tokyo Underground - Early 2000s shonen action series, pretty generic. It's amazing how much animation has improved in fifteen years. Good kinpatsu shoujo though, always a plus. Definitely has the early 2000s protagonist sidekick thing down pat. Overlord - Took the plunge but only two episodes in, not really enough to make a decision yet but I haven't been enthralled so far. Character designs sure are eccentric. Haven't gotten to the chibi specials yet. That's why we're here right? Takagi-san - Character designs are certainly cute but the titular character comes across as more of a mean-spirited bully than anything else. I like how they seamlessly add the chapters from the spinoff manga with the three girls into the story, I like them more than I do the actual series. Holdovers: Seven Deadly Sins - Huge boost in animation quality from S1 to S2. I've never really bought into the power-up sequences this franchise uses. They get curb-stomped and then somehow are strong enough 5 chapters later to take out the villain that just smashed them up. At least Escanor is on his way, love that dude. Black Clover - Had about a miserable a start as possible with a super generic opening (gonna become the wizard king, really?) and an absolutely atrocious voice acting performance but has started to grow its own legs over... half a year. Yeah that's way too long to justify. I'll probably have a lot easier time reading the manga. Beatless - Every time I want to move this up to a 7 it puts out a totally mediocre episode. Series needs a lot more of the redhead, things *happen* when she's around. MC owns a Nao Touyama voiced sexbot, which is, well, where do I sign? Obviously mine would look less like Lacia and more like lucky jervis best karen chitoge even though she's an awful person claudia or atago yeah that's the ticket Franxx - Giant Robots as a metaphor for puberty has only been done about 4,000 times before. I appreciate that they tried to make us care about the characters, but I really don't. I wish they'd fight their CG monster opponents way more often. Agree that the most recent episode was one of the best, if not the best one to date. Can't believe I didn't see the things with the names coming, it was so obvious in retrospect. Toji no Miko - I wish they'd fight their CG monster opponents way more often here too. Saiki Kusuo - Kind of expected this to be funnier than it has been. Only one really uproarious episode so far, when Nendou got the love letter. Shorts: Akkun to Kanojo - If the entire school knows they're already a couple it's a different scenario than if it's just a girl who wants to hook up with a guy but they're not actually together yet. I see Ndroae's comparison to Aho Girl, but that one was more farcical - I don't know how anybody could take that show seriously with Yoshiko's ludicrous levels of actual mental retardation. Alice to Alice - Was expecting a really dubious fanservice disaster short but it's 90% chibis. I can't say no to 90% chibis. Tachibanakan Triangle - Here's our actual possible fanservice disaster short. Weirdly, I don't have any complaints about this. |

| what AP's watching part 2: Sequels & Spinoffs: SAO Gungale Alternative - I might take some heat for this but I liked SAO s1 a lot, especially the Aincrad part. It started to go downhill after the incestuous imouto character was introduced and Sinon/Gungale didn't really add much of anything either. I don't know how adding a cute girl sidestory really fits in the universe, but the first episode worked out alright, certainly better than I expected. It's not going to hold up with just two characters, obviously. Steins;Gate 0 - The thing about the original Steins;Gate is that at it's best it's a worse version of plots Doctor Who did 35 years ago and I hate almost every character in the show. Kurisu, while certainly not terrible to look at, has a pretty miserable personality and is unlikable. Okabe as a chuuni has that super irritating Mamoru Miyano voice that should only be used for Romantic Comedy Protagonist's Best Friend (more on this later!) and when he's not in his chuuni mode he's still insufferable and difficult to root for. Amane and Moeka aren't particularly likable and Yukari Tamura's got a super annoying voice. Ferris Nyannyan is actually voiced by Haruko Momoi, who has the most annoying voice in the universe. Ever played or watched Tales of the Abyss? You're gonna have a lightbulb go off. Daru is a loathsome cunt I hope dies alone of AIDS halfway through the series. Mayushii, I like her, she's fun. Kana Hanazawa is my favorite female voice actress. Obviously you know what happened to Mayushii. As for this episode itself, it was passable! No Hyououin Kyouma crap, minimal detestable Daru, obviously no Kurisu. It's like Okabe went from a cheery Doctor and regenerated into a morose Doctor without changing his appearance. It works for him. So far. Food Wars Season 3 Part 2 why can't it just be part 4? This show has consistently been pretty good without being great. Much like Kurisu, Erina is a pretty miserable character with a weird face who is not at all miserable to look at.. Tadakoro is still a cute pudgster. I am somehow always surprised how well shonen tropes fit into this series. I am under the impression the series' author got his start in porn. Hero Academia 3 - Started off with a below average recap episode. I still expect this to be in the top 3 at the end but I'm not as confident it will be #1 as I was when the season started because of other shows. Real series starts tomorrow, I'm still excited. As for the movie-original character, cute's not the word I would use there. Still doesn't beat out Nejire though even though her hair is blue and... weird. Amanchu 2 - Pikari is a high level best girl for sure, but I would rather not see her topless ever. Ai? Well I don't really want to see that either but I'd definitely allow it. I love these characters more than the actual show they're in, if that makes any sense. I was that way for Hanayamata too. I look forward to their continued adventures but also falling asleep for five or six minutes every episode. New Stuff: Hinamatsuri - Was promised a laugh out loud series, did not laugh whether out loud or not. We'll see if episode 2 tomorrow can fix that. Caligula - A game adaptation from a genre I generally like (dungeon crawlers) but I haven't played. Seemed super generic until the last four minutes at which point it got super weird. I couldn't tell you any character's name yet. Persona 5 - An adaptation from a better game I also haven't played, but I know a good number of people who have. MC seems way more of an insert character than the P3/P4 guys did. I liked the P4 adaptation a lot, I have it on DVD. Teddie is a better Alice than either of the girls from Alice to Alice, but a worse Alice than Alice Cartelet. Comic Girls - Kaos is cute to be sure but I'm going to need more actual comedy in this show. Also the fifth girl. Urara Meirochou managed to get through its first season without introducing Fifth Girl but it's not easy. Uma Musume - Special Week is a cute for sure, but I don't know if following the horse's career to a T as they have these first four races is a good idea. I would like El Condor Pasa to get more screen time, she's fun. I hope there's not a lot of drama here, there's definitely a lot of opportunities for it. Tada wa koi wo shinai - This was the last one I watched, and it ended up being the only standout episode of the entire bunch. Here's Mamoru Miyano again but wait, he's Romantic Comedy Protagonist's Best Friend! Alec is fun and Teresa's a cute, very good imouto type girl that is not at all attractive. What, you guys are surprised I gravitated towards the adorable foreign blonde girl, that is very unlike me yes. The guys have their own charm as well. Whether or not this goes the drama route or not, I think I'm going to enjoy this one. Only 8/10 show so far. |

It was one of the first shows I picked up on returning to anime in 2015, and I kinda figured OP child protagonists are what you sign up for when you watch anime. On the other hand, fast romance progress and family life with a cute "daughter" was and is very rare in anime, so I like it for that. Aincrad had a lot of moments that seemed like failed attempts at being cool, and I didn't like the sudden twist ending. GGO was alright, but my favorite parts so far (along with the early family life episodes) were the ALO quests with everyone together in Extra Edition and the middle of season 2, and Mother's Rosario. I have no rules for "good" tragedy, I just either care or I don't. The opening 15 minutes of Star Trek 2009 make me cry every time, and you never even see those characters anywhere else before or after. What Doctor Who stories are you thinking of with Steins;Gate? To me it was an inferior version of the opening 15 minutes (seemingly the strongest part of a lot of things) of The Time Machine (2002 movie only, not in the HG Wells book). | Takagi is pretty light hearted and honestly i think their relationship is the most realistic relationship of middle schoolers in anime that I've ever seen. That isn't really saying a lot but still. |

| diet ep. This show is so fun, it's definitely my early favourite for AOTS. so many funny moments this episode but the highlight of the week is that best girl Haru Urara is back! She made her debut and finished all the way up in 5th! Good job girl I'm so proud of you! Taiki Shuttle got Toshinou Kyouko voice. I like her. Gold Ship is probably the funniest character. Silence Suzuka is so cute and nice and caring I love her. I wonder what her secret is? I'm guessing she'll have to retire early or something? |

This is a really fun episode with lots of fun characters and fun things, ahhhh this is just the best! the irl Kentucky Derby was this week apparently no Japanese horses qualified :( Proud to see Suzuka taking the plunge and entering the American circuit |
