However, most of what I can think of were for shock value, containing varying levels of explicit content. The most recent I can think of was Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne. It had gory murder, ridiculous amounts of rape, an absurd amount of bodily horror towards the end, and a really interesting usage of time skips, which managed to pull me through somehow. Though, for a specific scene, I suppose the reveal of that conglomeration of bodies was...a thing. I can also think of Gyo and how creative it got with body horror, specifically with that "transformation," though I'm not sure if that's supposed to be praise. |
