But basically, for this class, not only do you need to have a passing average, but you need a certain amount of points on both the midterm and final exam - which is 360/600 points (300 for midterm and 300 for final). I got 200/300 points on the midterm, which is roughly a 67 (not that the score matters, the points matter). So I would need 160 points on the final (which is acheivable but still scary). If I don't get a minimum of 160/300, then I automatically fail the class - it doesn't matter if you have an A in the class, if you don't get those points you fail. Obviously I would still need a minimum of a C in the class to pass, but I might get a D if I only get 160 points, so I would actually need more points than that. But yeah, that's the full explanation. TLDR: Technically, I failed by one question, but there's still some hope. |
