| Honestly don't let the ratings of MAL bother you, especially with Gintama. Otherwise if it makes you happy, the Mods could just merge all the Gintama seasons and place it at 1st. Everyone happy ;) |

| Indeed it is getting a little out of hand, but not because Gintama is on #1, but because of toxic people who create new accs just to downvote not even bother watching it, we knew what to expect and that`s why it was 10/10 beforehand. |

| Well if you want to have a top 10 unique anime instead of top 10 anime based on seasons you could just take the first Gintama entry and have that as where the show is as a whole and then just skip the other seasons and then eventually you will have the top 10 unique anime on MAL. Boy I'm glad I solved that problem or else the entire universe might implode! |
| This inevitable, pointless thread again. Seriously, who cares, they're just arbitrary numbers that are used to organize and rank these shows. People need to stop getting so hot and bothered by Gintama's rankings, or any show's rankings, for that matter. And as I'm sure the frustrated mods who have to deal with these threads have said more times than they can count (also pointed out by @DatRandomDude), they won't simply merge every Gintama entry into one, because then they'd have to do that for every show with multiple entries to be fair. Sounds like a simple solution tbh, but there must be something more to that if it still hasn't been done yet. Until that day comes, if it ever does, I guess we just have to deal with more of these dumb threads. |

| As much as Gintama everywere upsets me, this is how democracy works and we don´t need any changes. Same complain happened with Owarimonogatari and look at the amount of "1" it recieved from haters, as it Brotherhood deserved the eternal 1st place. 3 words: Let them choose In my perfect world my top 3 would be at the top, but life doesn´t need to be perfect for every single person. Just learn to accept it and move on to the new upcoming shows this season. |

| I think it's about time people stop worrying about it... I agree that having a top 10 seems pointless if it's all the same anime, but it's not really a big deal regardless. Fanboys (and girls) are going to make new accounts to upvote Gintama and downvote everything else, and there is going to be another thread like this in a few more days - or even tomorrow. Let's learn from this, people. |

| tbh if MAL was to merge the ratings of all Gintamas together, then they should also merge the ratings of say all Attack on Titan seasons, all One Punch Man seasons, all Naruto seasons, all My Hero Academy seasons, and it's just gonna be a mess because each time a new season of an anime comes out, they'll immediately go to the top because of the ratings of their previous seasons. so I think people should just deal with it and watch what they want to watch instead of being petty and spamming shows with 1's and 1/10 reviews just cuz they dislike the fandom, without actually having watched the show. |
