Heeeeeeeere's Johnny Watched this as soon as I finished today's ep of Hero Academia and I went from "Yay Kaji Yuki" to "Ugh Kaji Yuki". I guess it just means he is very good at this job. Ymir going insane and leaving Bert desperate is way too amusing, and the scene where she gulps Christa is one of my favorites. Her face when she realizes where she is going just makes me laugh, I'm not sure why. It was just as I remembered in the manga. Also they are really putting lots of things there are in an advanced part of the manga, that was surprising. Again, it's funny seeing all that when you know what's happening. They could be less obvious about a certain death that's going to occur tho... |

| Nice episode. I loved the constant transition in the soundtrack. Eren trying to fight pick up a fight with Reiner gave me serious laughs lmao That's just how silly and funny that moment looked. So Ymir's a titan for over 60 years? :O Guns! An entire civilization outside the walls? :OO But what's their purpose for turning humans into titans? |

| This episode is pretty amazing, just like the rest so far its kinda sad that its finishing after 12 episodes so now in two minds as to whether i should read the manga so my question is... How in depth is it thus far? p.s. please don't mention anything beyond this episode since i need to know without this comment being removed ill be very grateful |

| I like how the Scouts pursued Eren and Ymir through the woods on their mechanical flying things, but then at the end of the episode they're suddenly on their horses? Like, how do you go from horse -> mechanical flying things -> horse again ALL while being chased by titans behind you. The horses without riders had to of been sacrificed/eaten by titans. I mean come on, that's not realistic at all, Attack on Titan. Smh. Who wrote all these plot holes? |

Maybe for punishment or weapon, but never the less humans made the titans. The 60 years blew my mind though. So Yimr is at least 60 years old, but he see that she does age. I'm guess as long as they stay in titan form they don't age. Maybe because of the healing factor. I'm also guessing that "contenders" are the ones who are able to successful turn back into their human form and/or able to control their titan form. Meaning the titans we see now are just mindless beings. Ymir past was amazing and opened up a lot of doors and questions. to be honest I rather learn more than see just fighting. 5/5 Did I read a spoiler? Or it is just your assumption? |

| A really great job at showing Ymir's backstory, and at the same time, they did a really well job at building the intensity up as well. I could hear some new OSTs too, loved it. Great episode. |

| After the clifhanger last week i decided to read the manga and right after i finish reading ep 10 came out! Realizing Im light years ahead from the anime... thus making this episode to predictable. And why ymir's flashback animated early? Did not expect that comin |

The full OST release is June 6th or 7th for all S2 tracks. Ohhh, I was probably hearing something else when I thought of Ymir's scene. |

For anime-onlys they're still trying to figure out what those flashbacks meant. Some even thought it was pointless, thus proving that it didn't reveal stuffs in a very glaring manner. What we got what was a glimpse of Ymir's past. Of another civilization existing outside the walls. And that they're turning humans into titans. That might seem 'way' too much but those were only bits and pieces of a much larger backstory. And personally I thought adapting that chapter this season was a good decision, as it showed the audience, especially anime-onlys who always complain that there isn't much going on in snk but the action scenes, that it actually has a bigger plot and more layers than it originally appeared. I'm an anime-only btw but I've been spoiled about a lot of things already, and yet this episode just got me more hyped because finally, it offered some sort of answers, no matter how incomplete they were. |

Otherwise the bearded Titan that ate like half of Eren's squad in Trost would have become a shifter too. It would also make sense in general, otherwise there would have been shifters all over the place and the people inside the wall would have caught onto that. That aside: it would be extremely underwhelming if becoming a shifter would be that easy. It just wouldn't make sense to write. That seems plausible. Would explain why titans keep eating humans even if they don't need to, not to slaughter them, but just so they could return to their human form. Also, I don't think it's underwhelming if becoming a shifter is if a titan ate another shifter because as we've seen so far, there are only 6 shifters (beast titan included). Meaning the chance of random titans eating a trained, skilled, intelligent shifter is like, one in a hundred. Ymir got lucky because she was was like, hidden. Bert & friends got caught off-guard. |

| Still watching the episode. A bit surprised ... (that's why I needed to check this thread asap) - did not expect them to explain Ymirs background that detailed already - with info the manga is giving only much later. (Glad I caught up to it finally last week before watching this episode.) Could this be a hint that there won't be another season of the anime for a long time again? (At least not yet planned or in the next 2-3 years?) Else they could just have waited a bit instead of giving such background info that early. |
