Well, I think this clear up all the doubts... I ship Hiyori x Yato, but idk if that will actually happen... Maybe in the end he'll cut the ties between them, and become a god of fortune like he wanted, and stay protecting her from far... That would be nice too, if they can't be together |
| I ship Yato x Bishamon more, but I like Yato x Hiyori, even if there has been less development lately. It was pretty much confirmed in the manga that in the matchmaking ceremony, Yato and Hiyori were tied together. But, that was done by Kofuku, so I am not so sure anymore(after all, whatever she takes part in loses). |

Personally for me, when people mention the matchmaking chapter, I think it's just the author showing some form of symbolism. I think there's still a chance that the relationship is possible, but I think there's a high possibility that there is going to be a hell of a lot of hardship involved, even more so than what had already incurred. Also, why do people rule out that the relationship is impossible? Is it because she's just regarded as human, when she's actually just a half-phantom that can go in and out of her body when she pleases? It is true, that currently, Hiyori is being depended on heavily by Yato as a way to preserve his memory within her to pass onto generations, but I highly doubt the authors will just use her as that. I think Hiyori will serve a bigger role, dare I say, maybe even serving as Yato's lifeline eventually, if Yato's father were to ever die? I mean, yeah that's a heavy guess, but I don't want to rule out the possibility. Therefore, I don't want to rule out the possibility of them being together, when there is so many different directions that this manga can go through. I mean, the manga's almost out of it's hiatus, and it's not ending anytime soon, we'll see where it goes from here on out. |

| okay but read the latest chapter and re-evaluate yourself again yes, hiyori is a mortal and yato is a god but i wouldn't go that far to say "impossible" regarding their relationship the authors have made it clear from the get go that they like each other it'll be hard for the both of them if they start dating, i mean that would probably mean breaking the rules, but tbh i can really picture yato doing that. The chances of it happening r slim but it isn't really impossible. |
