hating the way PEOPLE talk is not racist i wouldnt even say i hate it i just strongly dislike it. being racist imply you hate them because of there skin color or culture. I dont like rap because i dont like it so that makes me a racist now? you say im dense but honestly if this is what you belive your denser than me. and all i was doing was speculating, from the trailer it look pretty dull and boring and the plot seems pretty dull and boring the special effects are nothing to write home about and the point of the film? oh yeah to drive the aliens out which they will most liky do because they always do so yeah pretty predictable. and actulay this has been done befor in the film ALIEN NATION about alines who took refuge on earth and was also a lengthy series on how they intergrated and the battles they had with human purists technological advances and battles over them and the further realisation that that aliens were actualy slaves themselves and it was a slave ship that landed and the other aliens well who knows. BLAH BLAH generic alein film. its just has a polish of 2009 on it thats all. show me somthing good. |

| Just saw this. Not even remotely what I was expecting from previews. However it was very, very good. Possibly the best I've seen come out this year, extremely aggravating and infuriating, and far far more depressing than I predicted. It put me in the most foul mood, so though I feel like it would be a lie to tell you you'd enjoy it, it's definitely a great movie. Haven't seen anything well done enough to actually get under my skin even after it's over in a while. Very cool. |

| Saw it today, above average. I couldn't get behind the lead character, in fact I wished he would've died so many times. The mecha was cool, but it fought better on its own... liked the flying pig attack, though. The lightning/exploding humanoid trick looked cool the first time, after that it looked more like a camera trick than a special effect. The movie could also stand to lose about 20 minutes of drawn out scenes that didn't add much to it. This movie is watchable, but not best of the year in any way. This movie is better served watching at home than the theater, where you'll be more comfortable. I would have enjoyed it a bit more if I hadn't seen all the "great" reviews, but I still wouldn't give it higher marks. |

Initially I wanted to see him get raped by those aliens and eaten so badly, but towards the end I did warm up to him. Had I not, I probably would have felt this dragging, because it is fairly long. But all of Peter Jackson's movies are so long, like freaking King Kong. |

| Just watched it, I loved it. Bit of a downer though. I had no idea what the movie would be like from the trailers, but I didn't expect it to be depressing. Great movie anyway, the mech battle was badass. |
| I just saw this earlier today. I thought it was excellent; easily the best movie I've seen this summer. It did have a few plot holes and some of the character development seemed rushed, but it's hard to fault it too much for those issues since most movies suffer from those same problems. |
