LN readers, do you think that the major events and a proper wrap up will be included by the end of this season, or are there barely are enough episodes left to fit them properly? I start to worry cause not only the whole Iroha case hasnt gotten any better, there is also the case with whatever Yukino wants help with and some shit going down with Hayato (from some spoilers i accidentaly got). I have never cared for a slice of life anime so much and i really want a satisfying ending to this, at least the Hachiman X Yukino confirmation. What are your thoughts on the time left for the conclusion?

Maybe they will adapt volume 10, but the final parts will extend to special episodes or OVAs. Just like kokoro connect.

Yes. LN readers were probably waiting for it since it was kind of vague. But now it shows it's most likely a picture of them of going down the ride. :D

Not really. In the LN it was a plastic pouch she bought from the store, most likely with Pan-san on it. Here they changed it to what seems to be a picture. So it's obviously of no importance at all.

Wait a minute, i had the impression that volume 10 was the conclusion to the story and that volume 9 was the one that resolved everything important, leaving volume 10 as something like side stories or whatever. So, the way things are going, not all major events are likely to fit in this season?

More importantly, the series is still ongoing? Does that mean that its quite likely that this wont be the final season?

Doubt it. The last time he said it was Volume 10? That didn't happen. Besides, I don't think 3 volumes are able to cover all of the problems surrounding our three main characters. Four if you count Iroha.

That is some great news, thanks for the info. Now the dilemma is whether i will read the LN after the end of this season or i ll wait for a season 3. Has anything been mentioned about the possibility of season 3 after this? And how popular is this series in the first place? Cause if it has plenty of fans i guess there is no need to worry.

Maybe. This only has 4 more episodes and 2 more volumes to cover at least. There's no mention yet though since season 2 isn't close to finishing yet. A season 3 would probably be great.

Well it seems they went of enjoying their free time first tho.

Was an alright episode. Yukinoshita's opening up and all, which is cool. But honestly, I feel that Hikigaya's just lost his charm. I loved his observation of human beings in general and comments about them. Those are more or less gone. Now it really is turning into a typical SoL Anime. Oh well, guess I'll have to make due with that.

That is what trips me out. If a girl confesses to a guy and he isn't interested in that kind of relationship, why would you run away in tears from the person who rejected you? You made it even more awkward and embarrassed yourself in front of everyone.

Also, Yukino holding onto Hachiman's jacket was bizarre. Came out of left field for and wasn't done right. The build up wasn't gradual and it felt abrupt.

Now this is more Oregairu-like! Such a good episode. Lots of cute, heartwarming moments between Hikki, Yukino and Yui. <3

Iroha confessed, and got rejected as expected. Hayama pls
Just go with Hikki instead though, he's 8000x better than that douche anyway.

Here's hoping the Iroha-drama.exe will not take a whole episode in the next one..

It went from a happy Komachi

to a confession at the end where Iroha gets rejected. Hayato gives that Shaft head tilt and looks at Hikki.

Yui had her shining moments as well. Like, in that scene where she moves her seat closer to Yukinon during the club meeting. Her giggle was too kawaii and cancerous. She may be a bit ditzy and an airhead but her charm is what I like about her.

Yukinon isn't too far behind. I liked her in this episode. It would seem that she is finally breaking through her shell slowly, like asking for Hikki to help her right before the ride went down the slope, and she also grabs part of his jacket.

RumiRumi in the preview, hopefully she's in the next episode. She's always fun to watch.

What a cute episode.

- Yukino coughing to get Hachiman's attention is so cute.
- Yukino and Yui's jealousy when Iroha handing the bag to Hachiman is priceless.
- Pan-san is mentioned and Yukino blushes.
- Hachiman and Yui moment.
- Yukino got excited for that colored Pan-san s. (Well, she got excited over anything related to Pan-san :) )
- For some reason, Pan-san remind me of Hachiman. Probably because of the eyes :).
- Hachiman and Yukino moments... so cute.
- "Help me someday" is the flag! Notice it Hachiman!
- Yukino's hiding something in her bag. Was it a picture of her and Hachiman during the ride? I mean there's a flash (probably camera flash) when they start to fall down during the ride.
- Yukino and Hachiman conversation: Yukino want something that both Hachiman and Haruno didn't have so that she can save "something".
- Iroha's get rejected by Hayama...

HachimanxYukino all the way! :)

and from the novel:

“Hey, Hikigaya-kun.”

“Hm?”

Halting my turned gaze was the White Wall Castle that was lit up with a color of white and blue.

But also lit was Yukinoshita’s coat of pure white that embraced her and her smiling visage that was on the verge of bursting into tears.

In gazing at that priceless, yet transient figure, my breath was taken away.

Yukinoshita released her hands from the bar and squeezed the armholes of my sweater. In that instant that our hands had touched, it felt as though something had taken hold of my heart.

Before long, I was visited with a pleasant sensation of floating that felt like I’d continue to fall forever.

“Help me someday, okay?”

Her whispering voice vanished from the falling wind and I was unable to give her a reply.

That may have been, I think, the very first wish that Yukinoshita Yukino had uttered.

Well, Iroha's reaction was indeed too much but after reading that part in the LN version it was considerably toned down, seems like it was just studio Feels trying to make it 10 times more dramatic or so.

Also, what do you mean that there was no build up in Yukino holding Hachiman's jacket? Them having that much time alone in that boat is enough of a build up and at the end of the day it was a spontaneous action, so how should it be executed to be done right in your opinion?

Eh. Iroha's reaction is pretty realistic. I've seen people who've been rejected act the same way she does. Plus, when something like that happens most people wouldn't be able to control how they would act due to the emotional blow they just received. People are different. If I got rejected I most likely would be like "eh" because I'm used to it. If someone else got rejected they may not re-act the same way. It's pretty easy to look at a situation via hindsight and go "wow why would they do this" or "Why not just do this". It's easier to formulate plans and stuff like that when you're not actually doing it.

She could have just told him she wants his help some day in the future. Why tug his jacket like that and induce romantic undertones? Clearly there is nothing romantic between the two but this just gives the shippers more ammo for their Yukino x Hachiman fantasies.

If he wants to play it safe, Four volume is the best we can get. But if he wants to wraps things as soon as possible and choosing the ending route of his creation, I think 3 volume is the best choice for him.

Well, It's obviously Yukinon was trying to get a full attention from Hachiman. By tugging his jacket like that, she would have received a full attention from Hachiman so he will gives her a 'real' help when the time comes. Therefore Hachiman would not have any misunderstanding when she said that. It's not really a bizarre at all, Having a conversation where you talked about your private matters to someone it will leads into an awkward moment. By distracting something that out of from the context, you will gained a full attention from that person who's currently listening to your private life/matters and moreover to make these awkward moment disappear.

Doesn't work considering there is nothing to be distracted about. They are on a ride with the two of them going at an incredibly slow pace completely devoid of anyone popping by. Hachiman seemed pretty attentive and even told her to not hold the rail until the fall. Pretty sure he was fully paying attention at the conversation the two were having and thus the tugging thing was just a way the give a bone to the Yukino x Hachiman shippers.

Why tug at someone when simply calling their name should suffice?

Seems like you are implying you don't like Yukinon tugged his jacket because it will crush your pairing ship. Nonetheless, Considering Hachiman's bad habit of reading the line instead of having a full picture of what's really going on. I am guessing Yukinon did that so Hachiman wouldn't have any biased thought/bad assumption regarding the help she needed when she asks for it in the future. We don't really know what help she needs regarding her problems. Therefore we con't conduct her action of asking for help is bizarre at all since the reason i just wrote above.

I could give a shit about my pairing ship, I don't like anime purposely appeasing to the shippers in a forceful way. The tugging of the shirt wasn't necessary at all. Hachiman knows Yukino is a very straight forward person and her asking for help someday in the future shouldn't be misconstrued. Yet we have her tugging his shirt and then giving him a smile like she actually likes him. Wasn't their relationship very awkwardly rocky a day ago? Oh but awkward small talk and riding a ride together now means hey things are cool and I can ever tug your shit like you are a possible love interest. Should have been more build up and a more fluid way to patch up the relationship.

Well, It doesn't purposely appeasing to the shippers in a forceful way. It's just how the things are from the Light Novel itself. You do notice, this anime is only an adaption from a LN right ?, Therefore you do understand that LN have lot of material which can't fit a 24 minutes episode. There would be cut here and there, and in that particular scene, they didn't show Hachiman's insight from the LN at all. There were parts where both of them where distracted by the ride and there was no conversation at that part, and suddenly Yukinoshita called out for Hachiman -> Tugged his jacket -> Then she says "Someday, help me, okay ?" It was obviously Yukinon did so for getting his attention back to her. The build up you were talking about didn't get properly animated, that's why you get the feelings how bizarre the scene was. It's nice to see how anime watcher's point of view could be so different than LN reader's point of view

I really like this scene especially after several problems that they have in the last 4-5 episodes..

There're some great moments in this episode, from when yui pulled hachiman and yukino to take a photo together, yukino's reaction about anything related to pan-san, yui asked hachiman to have a "date" with her unintentionally, and ofc the part when yukino said that she'll need hachiman's help in the future..

I'm a little bit surprise about iroha's confession although they already "foreshadow" it when iroha whispered something to tobe and just a moment before the fireworks start, tobe pull out miura and ebina from the group and like some others said we already know that she'll get rejected.. poor girl :/

Let's see what will hachiman do in the following episode and i hope at least the problem with student council wrap up in the following episode..

Overall an excellent and entertaining episode.. Can't wait to watch it again next week..

Excellent episode came out a little of the climate of drama from the last episodes and in first half the comedy prevails, in the second half a little sentimentality predominates, great moments between Hachiman and Yukino, Yui also tries to approach Hachiman at times, but the dialogues and the relationship between him and Yukino stands out

Well, this episode of the impression of forming a little love triangle between the protagonists, and another triangle that was clear was breaks, poor Iroha, is now work to Hachiman

Something that left me quite puzzled was the Hachiman's camera when he took the picture Yui and Yukin, is not automatic?

I look forward for the next episodes, even already know the plot I'm excited to see the adaptation, I think this anime is being the best of the season and will surely be one of the best of the year ..

Great episode to solve most of the issues that have been plaguing Hachiman and Yukino all season.
Hachiman slithering around at home like a caterpillar in embarrassment... something I'd never thought would ever see in a million years. And Komachi, how can this little sister be so perfect? Her imitation of her beloved big brother was spot on, despite his denial to the contrary.
I'm hesitant to call Yukino's reaction to Hachi taking Iroha's bag jealousy, but Yui's definitely was. I'm quite unhappy they didn't show Yukino's reactions to the "Handyman" and his cronies, it would've been hilarious.
To me, the best part of the first few minutes was Hachiman's internal monologue plea for someone to marry their teacher already. I loved his weird logic of her going to DestinyLand a 6th time and dragging him along with her. Excellent stuff.

Then the trip to DestinyLand.... where a trip for 4 becomes a trip for 5...... and then 8..... We finally get Yukino's chat with Hachi, the perfect distraction before the drop, eh?

I wonder whatever posessed Tobe to even allow for Iroha to gain alone-time with Hayama though. Shouldn't he be at least mildly aware of Yumikos feelings for Hayama by now? Does he not know how Hayama thinks? Or was he doing it mainly for the purpose of expecting Iroha to get rejected? I really don't understand how Tobe thinks....

Then special appearance at the very end by Rumi!
All in all a lighthearted episode up until near the end.
Next episode, dealing with the Handyman. Cannot wait.

Really curious exactly where they plan to end this season at.

OK, this series starts to get weird. Most students don't get this much drama in high school life.

That's because most high school student relationships are superficial.
The only reason some people are friends with one another in hs is because they have to see them 5 times each week ( or even more). For example, I was "friends" with people in class, but once they saw me outside of class they pretended that they didn't know me. Drama like this usually only happens if you're close with someone. If you're not, the most you'll get is a few insults thrown and maybe the side eye.
I agree that it seems a bit out of place considering the high school I went to where none of this really happened, but I can't exactly scratch it out because I know this whole situation is possible. Even online friendships can be like this. (Although haha they did take it out proportion but this is mainly Hikki, Yui, and Yukino's fault because they had huge miscommunication issues. And by not talking it out together it got bigger and bigger blahbalbahlbha)

I wonder what Yukinon was hiding when she was sitting at the bench, the moment Hachiman comes she suddenly hides something in or with her bag.
