| Cool! Looks like there will be a lot of time for action since there aren't that many scenes to cover in between the fights now if I recall correctly. After ep 3, we'll probably have relatively long fights between Lancer and Archer, and Rin and Shirou against Caster and Kuzuki in one episode, or perhaps 2 if there's enough stuff to show beforer they get to the church... but I'm not sure about that. Then probably reality marble, yada yada, and Rin being kidnapped and the scenes that take place before the fight between Shirou and Archer - certainly no more than 2 episodes? After that fight, Shirou vs Archer, and then Archer defending Rin and Shirou, some porn, and then the final episode. I mean, there's some stuff in between these scenes here and there, but I don't think it's that much. That would probably leave us with 2 episodes left, not really sure what for. What do you guys think? |
Looks like I was invited into the club. Yay! I'm really looking forward to the Illya fight next week, should be awesome. Also, I would pay big money to see ufotable porn. Here's hoping they milk that Rin x Shirou sex scene! ;) |

I think for the most part the majority of people are liking it. Even if it's not as good as the VN, it's still a good anime on its own right. |

| Hrmph... considering we have 4 clubs, I forgot to post here as not everyone is in every club... This is pain in the ass. Well, I watched ep last night, and might share some thoughts. Caster flashback expansion was nice to see, but... I got a different impression for Caster's original Master from the anime compared to the VN. From VN, I had the impression of him being a very capable mage, but very afraid of Caster's capabilities, which made him use 2 Command Spells to seal completely Rule Breaker and to limit Caster's output, if I remember correctly. In anime... he's a douche. Period. Even more arrogant than Kayneth and too proud of himself, and doesn't like to be ordered nor does he like when someone tells him he's wrong. Wanting to get rid of Caster like that just puts a Golden Seal of Douchebagginess on him. Well, at least I hope it will to some extent show how big of a powerhouse Caster is... something anime failed to portray correctly in my opinion. Shirou and Rin segments were nice, and so was Illya in the castle. However, that Shinji scene was... urgh... I still don't know what to make out of it. On one hand, it's obvious that Liz is only threatening Shinji, while on the other hand, while Shinji is pushing halberd away from him, Liz is shaking too much when you consider their difference in strength (Liz is Servant level with STR ranked B-). Gil showing respect to Sella for her loyalty to Illya was also nice to see. Preview was godlike. |

| Just watched the newest ep,im so overjoyed they added things that are/seem cannon that are skipped in the VN. Meidos NO T.T The Hollow/Ataraxia reference blew my mind. Just how good can this get,im so impressed 2 eps in. First i get a Sorrow remix Now i get these new information on the support cast etc. How could an adaptation be any better,who knows how much more new cannon/cannonish stuff are going to be revealed and just how many sick remixes we get. |

It may have been better to show Medea's backstory instead since it's more interesting and shows how tragic her life, but I don't really know. What's done is done anyway. | Fight-wise, I also think the scenes at the church will be equally good/better. But we'll see. I remember this segment with Illya and Berserker being one of my favourites from UBW... yea, definitely been looking forward to it. HF is what I really want though. Re-read some of the first half of the realta nua version today. You know I almost forgot just how much I loved this even in the early parts of it. What kind of feelings i had while reading it. People often say that the first half of HF is slow or whatever... well fuck that. Plenty of crazy unexpected shit happening in the first half too. And for some reason I just care way more about these events than the ones that take place in the first halves of Fate and UBW. With that I'm not even including the "peaceful" scenes with Sakura, Illlya, Kirei, etc. which is all great too... and different. That's the main point right there. HF feels... different, all around. It feels more mysterious and sometimes horror'ish than the other two routes, and I can appreciate that for sure. You don't know what to expect because such radically different things are happening that you don't always understand. Servants dying left and right and being eaten, True Assassin, Zouken, Sakura's secret and problems, the Shadow, Kotomine's words and foreshadowing, Mapo Tofu (lol), actually hanging out with Illya a lot, and so on. What was the quote? "HF - Fuck the rules, Electric Boogaloo: This time it's personal, no rules unbroken" Maybe if you're all about the action, then the first half of HF won't be that impressive. But that's not how it works for me at all. |

Yeah, I was thinking that if they don't take too long to cover what happens before they get to the church, perhaps they could finish the episode the moment Archer tries to backstab Shirou. There's quite a bit of talk and some action after that as well, so I'm not sure if there's a better time to transition into ep 5 while keeping the mood and theme. The end of the 5th day, after Shirou and Saber finds Kuzuki's corpse and Caster at the temple (pretty sure that was the first time). Before that though True Assassin also appears and munches on Kojiro from the inside... that was creepy and unexpected. And it feels especially ominous in the VN because it's all explained in words. You don't directly get to see it all and I think that was actually a good thing in this case. True Assassin, as well as the Shadow, gets slowly revealed more and more over time. At the start they're both just very mysterious and off-screen - which is good. And thus, it is summoned. Taking the false Servant's flesh as its own, the true Assassin enters our world. "Ki--------Kiki, kikikiki-------------" ----An ominous moon. A white skull laughs under the black-burned sky. ^ That gave me chills when I read it. For two whole routes they hadn't shown any kind of "true" Assassin... and I always thought that Kojiro never looked like much of an assassin to begin with, so I kept wondering if there'd ever be a "real" one. Finally in the third and final route, they actually made it happen. And they didn't even show what he fully looks like right away! Great stuff. Makes me wonder though if people who haven't read the VN but watched Zero will be disappointed by the reveal. ... Well that's their problem anyway. |

Actually, senpai-tan, I'm pretty sure a fair amount of F/Z fans will enjoy Gil's fate, judging by some of my secondary friends. (I won't tho ;_;) And quite certain most of the Grail system infodumps in HF isn't revealed in F/Z, Angra Mainyu and its true nature in particular. If anything, most of the HF Holy Grail info was revealed in the Einzbern Consultations. Also, while the Sakura reveal itself won't shock the F/Z viewers, they do get a different form of revelation - why Sakura has been so surprisingly normal and nice throughout F/SN thus far, when she was so broken and cold in F/Z (KAARRRIIIIYYYAAAAA). So the revelation works both ways, and connecting the dots will prove to be just as much of an experience. Really, the only thing that might annoy F/Z viewers is that most of the Servants will be dying fairly quickly, so it won't really be much of a Holy Grail War at all xD |

| When i started HF and the Shadow appeared, i tought ''Wtf?, is this the Dark Sakura i got spoiled about?'' but the evidence didn't match, so i threw the idea out of the window. And i kept guessing xD HF is the route i liked the most, and it actually made me Fangirl! xD And i still hate the F/SN Manga for spoiling me about Rider and Sakura ._. |

Saber does turn into Dark Fucking Saber though. Her death is really cool and her fight at the end of HF will be really awesome as well as long as there's no major screw up. And Shirou finishing her off... that's one of the best scenes in F/SN. Gil's fate is pretty surprising even for those who've read Fate and UBW. UBW is going to be the second time Gil is in the spotlight, so it's refreshing to see that change. But yeah, his death is really abrupt and he ends up not doing shit in HF, so it shocks everybody in a weird fashion that is difficult to describe. Having seen Rider's quick death in UBW does teach viewers how servants aren't that untouchable, it just happens to be even crazier since it's Gilgafreakingmesh who dies. As for Sakura's "reveal"... it may not have the same impact, but that doesn't necessarily mean it'll be disappointing. Since they won't have seen Sakura do much at all in UBW, they may expect her to participate more in HF... but will people expect her to snap the way she does? Probably not. At least not until they see the first movie, unless the pvs are really revealing. I dont deny that connecting the dots is a wonderful thing and viewers should do that instead of waiting to be spoonfed(also my point on why ufo hasnt screw up yet in UBW) but remember the first eps of UBW?yeah.... Things they already know OR what they think they already know will annoy them. But enough of that. For Sakura, the scene I want them to make as perfect as possible is when Shirou decides to not kill her with the knife.Her resolve when she pretends to be asleep, her fears, her regrets, the last command and the decision to face Zouken.If there is a scene that fully portrays Sakura is that one. |

The fact that they gave it for free makes the chances for an anime adaptation like Shirou's chances of becoming Archer in UBW. |

| There's currently no video on YouTube of Shirou vs Kirei that actually includes the dialogue (or Illya's sacrifice...), so I thought I might make exactly that. But I have an odd question: do you think it would be appropriate to include the "Yorokobe shounen. Kimi no negai wa youyaku kanau." before the entire segment itself? Only the audio of it. Like a callback to something he previously said, basically. It's so iconic and... I dunno, it just seems to make sense in my head right now. But what do you think? Would it feel completely out of place? |
