Perhaps you don't feel like you're ready to be with someone until you're older and want to be single for a while. Perhaps you found who you feel is the right person for you at a younger age. Perhaps you did not find the person that you "click" with until after a few tries when you're a bit older. Perhaps you would like to "play the field" before settling down. It all comes down to personal experience. I don't think that age should have much relevance here, but rather the people who are involved. As for marriage, I don't think that age should have a big influence here either. I look at it like this: If you have a steady income and can support your family, if you feel you are emotionally ready to take the next step, if you have experience with your partner (knowing their bad habits, how your bad fights turnout together, seeing how they live and behave on a daily basis), if you trust your partner and if you have a mutual understanding, you're eligible to get married. It is true that a lot of younger couples have the habit to rush into it before they are ready, but not every younger couple will make that mistake. In short: I value experience over age. |
