| That really was a phenomenal episode. Perfect blend of all the emotions you can get from an anime, and dam i feel bad for Simon having to see the Kamina x Yoko. But now he's supposedly dead, and all i can do is furiously continue the series. Truly a fantastic anime. |

| Okay, I'm one of those people who cries quite easily during movies and tv shows. I'm just really emotional about certain things. But I don't think I've EVER cried as hard about a fictional character as I did during this episode. And I even KNEW before I started watching this series that he wasn't going to make it. But yeah, it was so hard to watch. T_T I have to take a (short!) break from it now because I'm not ready to watch it again, knowing he's not there anymore. DX |

I was thinking " what are people rating this so high for." Now I see. If this keeps up it will be in my top animes for sure. I'm sorry for doubting. |

| Friend: What episode are you on? Me: I'm not sure... 7 or 8? I think I might drop the show soon. The only character I really like is Kamina... Friend: No! Don't drop it yet. Boyfriend: Which episode are you on? 7 or 8? Me: I don't know. 8 I guess. Friend: Well, what happens in it? Boyfriend: Yeah, cause something important happens in 8. Me: I'm not really sure. I don't remember. Boyfriend: Did Kamina die? Friend: Yeah, Kamina dies in 8. Me: .......no....no he didn't die yet. And thats how I was spoiled! xD It was a pretty sad death. I expected more dramatic music though. I really hope what everyone says is true, and that the show gets better after this. So far, I've been bored with it. Think I'll give it a couple more episodes though. Not too sure how good is going to be without Kamina. |

| To be perfectly honest, it now becomes a slog of samey battles. So it depends on personal preference, it was exciting enough to keep me watching. But it's not for everyone. Then something else big happens. |

I guess something like this has to happen especially when the whole Kamina x Yoko thing finally materialized. Poor Simon. I am so looking forward to the aftermath of this episode. I might be in the minority but i will not like it if Kamina was somehow still alive after this. You do not build up the emotion and then have it all taken away. I'm glad that it's not like one of those anime where a main character never seems to die. It was really an emotional roller coaster this episode and I can't wait to find out what happens to everyone else after this loss. |

| Holy crap, I didn't expect Kamina to reach the final curtain so soon. He was kind of annoying, but I didn't want him to die, he was good for comic relief. Poor Simon. First, he was crushed by his crush (something which is aptly named, see episode for details) and then he loses his 'brother'. Damn. On a completely different tangent, that fortress thing and the Giga-drill seem to be continuing the phallic imagery. There sure is a lot of it in this show! |

| I'm a really late watcher and to my surprise, TTGL is was slowly growing on me (even the art). FYI guys, Kamina personifies the bad boy type that girls go after when we're young and naive. | Oh shi- I was expecting some comedic spin at the end or something. I wasn't in love with the guy, but but now it just seems like a huge part of the show got taken away. Guess I'll have to keep watching and see. |

| That was a rather early main character death o__o Aw well, still a great episode nonetheless. What will it do without a core character? Looks like the next episode will introduce the ever so popular Nia :D Can't wait~ Up until now I didn't think this series was too great (or at least not good enough to be at MAL's #1 >.<) but it looks like it'll be getting better... |

| Wonderful episode. Amazing battle with a great but unexpected finale. To be honest, i was pretty sure Kamina would die at some point of the story. That's just a bit too... early. I hope Symon will be able to learn from that tragedy and become a true man. |
| Good episode, have to admit I liked Kamina a lot, however I was expecting him to die, particuarly when he hooked up with Yoko - getting the girl = certain death. Realistically he was such a strong character that he was stunting the growth of all the characters around him, will be really interested to see what the other characters in this show do now they're not being shielded from the world by the sheer force of his personality. |
