I once was walking to my room with my laptop bag, got about 1 foot away from the door way which is about 4 feet from my bed, got lazy, chucked my bag onto my bed which then fell on the floor, said "OH SHIT MY LAPTOP IS IN THERE!", ran into my room that I was too lazy to enter in the first place, checked the laptop, it was fine, went to eat lunch

i was setting up my brand new dell laptop on my high bed (over 4ft obviously) - which i used as a table (dorm rooms =_=;;) the extension cord is on the table under the high bed - which i don`t use as a table for various reasons... and somehow i think i tugged it and it pulled my laptop down with it.
i was REALLY suprised at how sturdy it is... lol.

Not yet thank god it has almost fallen off my bed a couple of times and I have hard wood floors and my dogs have almost knocked it off the couch by tripping over the battery cord but nothing has happened yet

No, but I was tempted. Instead I would just throw something at it like a pen.

Mine was on a school bag above one of my suitcases when I was waiting for the train. I left it alone just a second because someone was calling to me and suddenly I heard a very loud sound. My laptop died T_T.

Well... kind of. It didn't really fall, more like I threw it :P
It wasn't working properly and I got so asngry I slammed it against the edge of the wooden chair... the screen cracked and now looks like the roots of a tree, but still works if you use an external monitor <__<

Nah, but I've dropped my mom's laptop before. Luckily she wasn't home and it still worked fine so she never knew.
I'm more careful with mine...
I always drop my phone and ipod though, I'm surprised they still function properly, lol.
