This was garbage. I can't feel moved when most of the character's decisions don't make any sense whatsoever.

Just where do you trace the line between realism and symbolism in this anime? Is it supernatural what I'm witnessing or all symbolic? Because our MC doesn't react at all towards things such as not having a shadow. I know I would be going nuts, then again this world is not as normal as it seems.

Anyway, did this Mio person have a double personality problem? or were there really physically two of them? Did she try to kill herself by swimming deep into the sea? or did she actually turn into a damn bird?

Is this too deep for me? or am I looking too much into it? I'm genuinely confused.

Edit: Nevermind, just finished 2nd season.

Dual personality eh.....(i didn't see that coming, I thought supernatural stufff would happen)
- Mio herself would leave Little Busters
- Midori herself has plenty of friends aside of Little busters (and little busters are loners so she will not belong)

So they ended up merging to each other to balance, So she would be socialbe enough to join the group yet still loner enough as all the group members are.
Great stuff.... perfect presentation

Somehow this arc didn't affect me as much as I hoped for.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

So she was just schizophrenic? Seems way too drawn out and forced, the comedy episodes of this show are much better.

Interesting how accurate this portrayal was of Disassociate Identity Disorder? Too an extent, at least. Trauma is usually involved when an additional identity comes about, but damn.

does mio have a split personality or something, or is it different, how can something imaginary be real and interact with other people

This Mio story arc was good, very reminiscent of Fuko's in Clannad. In a sense, at least. Obviously not the same scenario or disorder, but a vaguely similar mechanic - creates a good amount of mystery, just enough to wonder "what's actually going on here?" and keep me guessing until the end - I had a handful of guesses in my head.

Well, that was enjoyable, and I'm glad it ended in a happier fashion than the Fuko one. That wasn't bad but it was kind of a downer, as I recall. This one left me feeling pretty alright. Good stuff, I'm starting to understand why this anime was recommended for me a few times over the years.

Seems Midori really wants to replace Mio and Riki has slowly forgotten about her, And she just disappeared

At last, he found her but she really seems sad deep down, And some flashback from when Mio and Midori first met when they were little

So this arc finally ended, Are they as one now that Mio has a shadow well that means she'll come back gladly I hope the memories are still intact.

At least Mio got saved, that story with how she created Midori and started to see her as an imaginary friend, well now everything is fixed I suppose, it still lack of explanations about why it happened etc but I guess that's just supernatural without explanations, that's not too much of a problem xD

I can't say I loved this arc but it was interesting learning more of her character overall. The visuals looked fantastic too

After 12-13 episodes of utterly meh episodes we finally get an actually emotional story. Still not perfect but at least Mio's story was good.

A pretty good adaption of Mio's route for how short it was. It was way better than what they did with Komari's, but suffered from the same weaknesses.

Most notably not having spent much time with Mio beforehand. Her proper introduction isn't until Episode 10, which makes the conclusion feel unearned, since just like Komari she barely spent time with the LBs here.

I am disappointed that KyoAni didn't adapt Little Busters instead, they would've probably made this have worked more organically. Doubt Mio would've introduced much later than around Episode 2 there.

The lack of romance is also sorely felt. The main reason Riki couldn't forget Mio like anyone else, was because he loved her. It That's what Midori understands, and why she helps her in the end.

Still, this adaptation has become much better from Episode 7 onwards and I am looking forward to the rest.
