Logicoma, does whatever a spidercoma does.

Story progression was slightly better than the first movie, but it seems to be just another variation of "you got hacked and your reality/memories are fake". The "an AI did it" and "the original villain (the corrupt vice minister) was an asshole from the getgo, but he's dead now, so hooray" ending was a bit unfulfilling.

More action-oriented than the first movie, yet the animation quality was a huge mix of good and poorly-done bits.

They decided to reboot the series only to have most characters belonging to a single unit and joining all at once in one episode? I was hoping for something more thought-out than that, honestly. Now there's only Togusa left to recruit. I wonder if he'll manage to screw up the next episode...

Seeing the amount of asses that Batou kicked here, maybe he should be the leader instead of Motoko in this iteration. And Satou went from silent, cool type to a greedy fatso, wtf. Ishikawa barely got any screentime and it was even worse for Borma, which is another point back from my SAC days that I hoped this movie could do better.

Amazing episode :)

I love how it showed how Major recruited everyone on her team. I love how Major how to kick everyone's ass just to recruit them. Still no Togusa, maybe next episode :D

Was really suspicious of VV at the start. This may be the first time Major questioned what Ghost is. Then again, i feel this is more of a reboot since Major mentioned about Ghost in the first movie.

Lots of action and fight scenes. I love the techno OST, but they keep using the same battle theme over and over again. Need to spice things up!!

Can't wait for the next episode!!!!

So the Major had to defeat her team in order to recruit them. It's definitely different than SAC. I like it but still it feels off.

I hated Saito's design, what's with that haircut, and why did he become so fat?

It's not just that he has gained weight and opted for a an El Cheapo barber, it seems like his and Pazu's personalities have been completely switched around.

Saito was always the dependable stoïc, while Pazu was the womanizing gambler.

The Major is still off of what I know and how I like to see her (<-yeah, "I know"), but perhaps there's more to her development in the next movies. Will wait ^_^

In Border 2 I found her to be much closer to what I knew, than in Border 1, but that is also "off", as it feels inconsistent.

That's why I quickly got VERY bored with SAC (variations on the same theme, but dull as dishwater) but everyone seems to love that.

My head hurts trying to understand this one. I guess it carries from the first movie that there are false memories and everone in the team had been affected by this virus. So this movie was basically a flashback to getting the team members... idk. Plus some derp animation/artwork here and there...

6/10 teetering on 5 or even a 4...

Definitely better in all, while remaining the primary objective of the story, it is less smoky and consequently the narration is more interesting and thanks to some twist, even more exciting. The dusting of the old issues faced back by GITS and SAC, give the clear paternity to this series of OVA. Soundtrack more convincing, however, it remains a product that could be better if they had invested much more money; not that the quality of the drawings is insufficient, but certain anime need a very high standard.

9/10

I enjoyed it but it didn't feel like gits, felt more like a gits-inspired crazy dream with explosions, arms-bullets flying n' shit. they kill too easily to take it any seriously. 6/10

It was very careless of armed Minister of Home Affairs and Vice-Minister of Defense to argue right in front of Soga, who was not immobilized in any way (aside from handcuffs, which did not really help much)

Paz and the rest killing guards as it's nothing >:

Definitely weaker than the Border 1 but not too shabby itself, I suppose.

Major showing his crew who's boss was pretty darn cool to watch but the main villain is still under wraps it seems. I just knew that Gaijin had ulterior motives and it was a little strange to see the Major warm up to her so fast, it's hard to imagine the Major from the SAC universe doing that at least.

More memory manipulation, I see. I'm guessing this will be the theme for the entirely of the Arise Architecture series and it happens to be right up my alley too, so hopefully we'll be getting the same for the remainder of the journey if not better.

Weak 7/10 from me.

Simplesmente perfeito.
