| I use to watch Pokemon without knowing it was originally an anime. (Watched it in English dubbed). I started watching Tokyo Mew Mew in my elementary school days and got it to it. I googled it and found out it's called an anime. From there, I watched anime once now and then for fun, but really into it until I watched Mirai Nikki (I think) back in 2011/2012. |

| Original DB (or Pokemon) was the first anime I watched, but I didn't know what anime was at the time. Naruto was the series that got me into anime. That series was the motherfucking shit when I was a kid. |
| There was a morning program in Australia called Toasted TV and they aired Naruto and One Piece dubs. I asked my cousins about it and told me about anime and introduced me to Full Metal Panic. |

| Miyazaki films. Before them I had watched other Anime such as DBZ , Pokemon , Digimon etc. However I wasn't aware that they were actually anime. Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke were the first that I knew they were of Japanese origin. The first anime's I finished was the original FMA, Tsubasa Chronicles and Naruto. (Which I actually watched in Japanese. Cannot remember which one was first however I think I watched Naruto first) Didn't see the what made you want to watch more. I would honestly say the animation style. I honestly preferred it to cartoon's which looked very childish compared to anime. I also liked that despite the fact that it was animated it had darker and more complex plot. Honestly I liked it because it was different to what I was used to and it blew my mind when I was only like 8-9 years old. |

| My first one would probably be Dragon Ball, but One Piece got me started because after I watched every One Piece episode available at that time I looked for similar stuff and started watching various other anime. I guess I like the limitless possibilities you have with anime. |
