Why not go for obvious childehood romance? Yukinon x Hayato and let's throw in Yui so she isn't sad when Hikki marry Shizuka sensei. |

I agree with the "no-respect" thing. The only one that Hikigaya has shown main interest for is Saika (although he does blush around the two girls here and there), mainly, but I doubt that this show would end up being BL- BL shows give major hints that they are, indeed, BL straight from the beginning. Along with this, the show would lose a lot of fans (unfortunately). I have a feeling Totsuka (if not already), Yui and Yukino will all develop crushes on him. I really hope it doesn't end a harem, but maybe it's just me. I'd rather he ends with Yui, though. She seems a bit nicer... but it seems to me it'll probably end with him and Yukino getting together. Harem-wise, Yui and Yukino will probably confess but Totsuka will be left to guessing, since that's the "smart" way out of losing fans- it'd be interesting if they allowed it in, though, like how mirai nikki and other anime did. But, of course, Hachiman will have to change a lot before any of this happens. |

I would much rather have him not go after anyone, I like his character as it is. If I had to choose though, I would say Yukinoshita, because then he might remain somewhat the same. |

Definitely Yui. Yukino is like the female version of Hachiman; I honestly couldn't see them having a very healthy relationship. And, further down the "line", Yukino would be a TERRIBLE mother if her attitude didn't change. Sure, Yukino is rich thanks to her politician dad... but that's that only positive in my mind. Yui, a 'normal' person would balance out Hachiman's pragmatic side. "Opposites attract" and all that jazz... Volume7 LN spoilers! (WALL OF TEXT+3 pics): Unfortunately... I've read the LNs... and the author is "pro-Yukino" so the odds of Yui winning is extremely slim. Out of the 7 volumes released so far, Yukino only *just* said that she was friends with Hachiman in the 6th volume. So even Yukino "winning" is likely several volumes away; although it is implied that she might have feelings for Hachiman, she has very high standards so I can't see WHY she likes him... If anything, other characters like Kawasaki Saki have better chances of winning (this is hinted at). Even Sensei is a possible route, however unlikely. Hachiman basically blew Yui off at the end of Volume 7 so Yui winning is very, very unlikely... which is sad since I like her the most =/ In volume 7 the entire LN is about one of the guys in Hayato's clique (Tobe) wanting to confess to the fujoshi girl (Ebina) in Miura's clique during the upcoming school trip - as it lasts 3 days and 4 nights, he wants to confess on the last night after he spends the rest of the time "setting up flags". Before the trip during the first chapter, Yukino is a lot nicer to Hachiman in this volume compared to all of the other volumes. She even makes him tea, which was normally something he was forced to do as the junior member. Yukino making tea: Also, Yui wanted to confess to Hachiman at the same time that Tobe confessed to Ebina (Yui's confession plot is the "hidden" [not really] plot-line of Volume 7) since over time she has fallen in love with him. Over the past 6 volumes they've spent a lot of time together, he's pretty nice to her, etc etc... Hayato, Tobe and Ooka went to the Service Club the day before the school trip to ask for their help and they accepted the task: make Tobe and Ebina a couple. Tobe wanted to confess on the final night of their school trip. Of course, after learning more about the situation, they realized it couldn't be done. On the surface they keep telling Tobe "do your best, stay strong until the end, etc" but they aren't sure what to do. Time passes. During the last day or so of the school trip, Hayato confronts Hachiman and tells him that he knows Tobe's confession wouldn't work but couldn't say anything to Tobe because that would ruin their friendship. So he asked Hachiman for another request: save their group/clique from breaking apart. Hayato wanted help in maintaining the status quo, basically. This is around the time that Ebina figured out what was going on (the others were giving the two of them distance and letting them pair off). She didn't like this since she considers herself "rotten", a term commonly used for fujoshi (rotten women) and isn't ready for a relationship but is afraid of hurting her friends. So, in the end and with no other option left, Hachiman decided to confess to Ebina himself (Hachiman likes to self-sacrifice himself - it is almost a running gag at this point)... who promptly shot him down and told him she wasn't ready for a BF; she was able to shoot him down since Hachiman is not apart of the 'HayamaMiura superclique'. Tobe (and everyone else) was there and saw everything... and despite Tobe being dense he put 2+2 together (though he now considers Hachiman a rival for Ebina, lol). This saved Tobe from making a fool out of himself AND it also stopped Yui from confessing to him. It also stopped the group from breaking up out of awkwardness since Hachiman, as an outsider, took the bullet for Tobe. Hachiman was aware that Yui was going to confess to him since Yui had been EXTREMELY deredere during their school trip for the past several days: leaning on him during the train ride, holding hands, clinging to him during a haunted house, etc. Hachiman at first refused to think Yui was coming onto him since he is very pessimistic... but eventually even he figures it out. In his words "someone (Yui) is doing something unexplainable". Thus, he hatches a plan to confess to Ebina to help Tobe out and warn Yui off, which he thinks will preserve their friendship. Basically Yui was setting up tons of flags for romantic opportunities and stuff with Hachiman. In fact Yui is so brazen and blunt about it that other people have caught on: Yukino was the first to notice, followed by Hayato and even Miura notices! Yui is extremely forward, using physical contact on Hachiman to get his heart to race and such. But, he internalizes the stuff as he wants to maintain the status quo so he won't get hurt. After Hachiman's "confession" he walks off; Yukino (with Yui not far behind) confronts him about what he did and "hating his methods" and she is *obviously* pissed off and storms off, not saying everything she wanted to. (This is more pro-Yukino hint dropping by the author since the implies a lot..) Yukino's last words to Hachiman in Vol7: "I can't say why, but what you did irritated me a lot. I really do hate the way you do things." Yukino leaving after blowing up at Hachiman: Yui talks to him after Yukino leaves (she thought his confession was real at first) Yui: "That scared me, I thought you were doing it for real..." and he tells her "How could that confession be real?" Yui replies with "B-But.. that method... that's against the rules!" Hachiman tells her "This is the best option to keep the status quo. Why don't you think about how I felt back then? Even though you know so much, why don't you understand that?" (read: consider his feelings). Yui staggers off after this rejection. Yui being super-clingy on Hachiman (this occurs after they were holding hands) with the other person in the picture being Totsuka: Also, the last chapter of Vol 7 (where the confession+after effects occur) is called: “He and She could not convey their confessions to anyone”. This is referring to Tobe and Yui, respectively. Hachiman has a final monologue where he reveals he knew what Yui was going to do and what he did probably tore the Service Club apart. He thinks that it probably isn't salvageable (yeah right, as if the series will end here). Sorry my summary was out of order a lot. The confession happened near the end of their school trip and most of the Hachiman+Yui/Yukino/PopularClique interactions occurred during the days and nights leading up to the confession scene. Only half a chapter was devoted to the "aftermath" of the confession and then it promptly ended. |

Otherwise I agree with your evalution of Yuis chances (as well as in unhealthiness of relationship with Yukino.) Yet I don't think she has what it takes to "balance him" for that there is need some sort of connection, but there is non. Everyone knows Yui is best girl. Screw Yukino and definitely screw that trap. The only thing that traps do is take time away from every other character. Totsuka is either the butt of the joke - or 8man slips into a homolust rant - for ~45-60seconds in every episode. It really gets old - very, very quickly I might add - especially considering that they have had to prune other details from the LN to put that crap in... with the result being that it grinds my gears. Yui is so hnnngggg. Why can't I hold all these feelings for Yuigahama?! Yui has a good shot to become my waifu... and I've never had a waifu before. It helps that she's not a moeblob PoS either. |
Behold, as a wild ass in the desert, go I forth to my work. |

Amen to that, brother. |

Also just by watching anime you can never fully appreciate how awesome Shizuka is. |

Yuigahama of course. A relationship with Yukinoshta would be boring and dull. |

Yui Yuigahama Yukino looks like Senjougahara indeed and I really like her dialogues with Hikki but here I'm rooting for Yui because she is that kind of girl who Hikki doesn't like but he knows that her feelings are genuine and an energetic girl like her fits more for him than a loner girl like Yukino. |

Hikigaya and Yukino are a perfect match in many ways. Intellectually, they are on the same wavelength and their word battles are hilarious. It's a lot more entertaining than ending the argument with "hiki, you idiot" or *punch* (I won't say it's bad or anything. Just that a Hikigaya's word exchange with Yukino is way more to my taste). |

Their relationship is most interesting and has likely most depths of all as well (though I wonder how could Yui x Hikki possibly work as they doesn't have any common point). But again that doesn't means it's best choice. |

As anyone watching this show should know, Totsuka Saika is the best candidate. And this is from someone who normally hates yaoi. |

Definitely Yukino ! yuigahama is annoying :/ I prefer a female character with cool personality, not an annoying one.. and i can see that yuigahama is a typical annoying type, a stereotypical annoying character that appears in almost every manga/anime series |

At this point, i am rooting either Yukino or Shizuka sensei. Those two would be the best match for him. Besides Yui got rejected three times as far as i heard about the LNs. Can someone kill Totsuka already? I really hate traps like this. Hideyoshi was cool, Yuuta from cuticle detective was fun.............but these types are just annoying. If you say you are a guy, at least dress like one or completely dress like a girl and say so. Those sparkles..........ugh!!! The few things i dislike about this show is Totsuka and the blonde. |

I wouldn' mind him, if he didn't get so much screen time. It's take too long for single joke. |

Shizuka, Yukino or Yui is way cuter and i fail to see any qualities in Totsuka other than those sparkles(?) and he's gay for Hachiman (don't know why). Besides Yukino or Shizuka are much more interesting characters. Sorry i like to judge a character by their personality not their cuteness. If you can point out any redeeming quality that Totsuka has, feel free. Btw sorry about spoiler............forgot to put a tag around it. |

I voted for Yukino. I think she suits Hikigaya the most. I am sure that she will be the one who gets the cake. Dragon_Slayer_X said: Sorry i like to judge a character by their personality not their cuteness. To me, it seems that you don't judge a character based on its personality but its sexual orientation. No character we have seen thus far has a considerably better personality than Saika. (I am not saying that you judge people in real life in this manner as well.) |
